| During the Jenga game in chapter 63 Sun Jing asks Qiu Tong, if there is someone whom she likes and she replies with yes. Later in chapter 65 Sun asks further who that person is, but doesnt get a reply. So my deductions: 1. She meant Sun. 2. She meant another friend or family member. Platonically. 3. She actually likes another girl or guy sexually. Not Sun. In chapter 80 something Sun confesses to her, but gets rejected. So if it was #1., she didnt mean it as girlfriend. So what do you think? Does she actually have a crush on someone else or worse (for Sun and for us^^) is actually already in a relationship? Or was she just teasing her? |

| Good luck trying to find any answers in this series, there's so much inconsistencies and many things that are hinted at or addressed but are then soon forgotten....makes you wonder if the author just doesn't care? Also the question still remains as to whether if this a more of a yuri-slice of life or yuri-romance series because as a slice of life series you don't except the story to take any dramatic turns or dive into or explain some of the questions you've raised because like most SOL series there need not be a linear story line. As you probably already know this series is funny, a light read and down to earth and sometimes it seems like the story isn't moving towards any particular direction but at some moments the author decides they're writing a romance series and the story becomes a bit serious with character and story development but then they drop that completely and probably never get back to it. So to answer your question Qiu Tong probably meant she liked Sun, but wasn't ready to accept or admit it(this is the romance aspect) then the author is like oh shit actually this is a SOL series then story becomes about 2 gals in a platonic relationship filled with joy, playfulness and doing nothingness then later author decides that this actually is a romance, so let's deal with some romance stuff like confessing while forgetting very important facts then creating a chapter that has absolutely nothing to do with the direction of the story and in this alternative reality chapter that has no connections to any previous or future chapter the 2 main girls are romantically/adorably sharing a jacket on a cold day and it's hinted at that they're dating(again this has nothing to do with the well established story, it's just another tactic borrowed from the SOL genre) I feel like there were signs of trouble in what may seem or could have been a great series right from the start when the author wasn't sure if they wanted to create a picture book, a romance series or a series of short SOL style vignettes |

| Yeah.. the inconsitency bugs me too. Imo the problem lies in using such short chapters. Also I dont think the author has an evaluated story board (red thread), so (s)he forgets what happened some weeks ago. Well, I guess I just was needlesly overinterpreting stuff. ;) I personally would prefer the manga to take a more serious direction as exploring Qui Tongs family problems, her standing in class (whats with her female friend?) and so on and on. Well, lets see, maybe the current basketball arc will go in that direction, because her classmates seem to be a bit mad at her for cheering at the "guest" team. Also @ your SoL vs romance point: The author already implemented a SERIOUS confession, so imo it should go in that direction in the end. Again, maybe the current arc will finally lead to that. |

| Yeah, I really hope it will finally go in that direction, also the classmate girl had an appearance again, which could be a sign of mentioned development (parents, whats her relationship with her classmembers, especially that girl) and so on. But Im already expecting this arc will be dropped again, going back to the yaoi route and everything will be forgotten and we will be back at square 1. |

| In retrospect the messy story telling and shifting from SOL/romance/side arcs including totally dropping them out of nowhere is probably because of the Chinese government. Homosexuality is basically a no go and with the new established social ranking system with serious consequences if you have a low score, has probably lead to the consequence, that the author was forced to cancel thousends of things. |
