| Katanagatari- its Nisio Isin, what more is there to say? But to be serious I honestly prefer Katanagatari to Monogatari but I love both. Its everything you'd expect from Nisio Isin, colorful characters, witty dialogue, and lots of wordplay. But unlike Monogatari its a little bit more focused of a narrative as the show focus on collecting 12 Legendary Swords. Overall a fantastic show with a fantastic soundtrack and amazing visuals, although its not SHAFT so no Shinbou nonsense. Although it should be noted that its actually the same length as a 2 cour series as the episodes are twice as long. Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei- I could go on about how much I love this show for hours its by far my absolute favorite anime series. Its a brilliant mixture of wacky over the top humor, quirky characters, and poignant life lessons combined with a very unique art style and incredible direction. The whole show really resonated with me and my experience with college and figuring out what I should do with my life and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone else who's felt that they are lost in life. On the whole an absolute masterpiece that I just can't recommend enough. |
