| (Forgive me if I'm breaking the rules somehow; this is my first post here.) I do enjoy my share of anime music, but as a North American, I feel awkward listening to it in public (and it doesn't help that I don't know any otaku on a personal level) and I don't even understand the lyrics. Additionally, I have a hard time finding non-anime music, as the only ways I find new songs are through the radio (non-voluntarily), Guitar Hero, and sometimes YouTube. Anime music recommendations are welcome as well, but I would prefer non-anime. Here is a list of the anime music I listen to:  My favorite songs on the list are black bullet, Maware, and Stalemate. For me, anything that is upbeat and not too annoying, profane, or emotional is fair game. Thanks in advance. |

| Okay, I'll just post some of my favorites, but I guess I should add that I have a strange taste in music and I have no idea what your taste in music is like. Sigur Rós An Icelandic post rock band. Check out Fjögur píanó or Von. Maybeshewill is also a post rock band, but their sound is quite different from that of Sigur Rós. Mine favorites are He Films the Clouds, Pt. 2 and Not For Want Of Trying. Awolnation. You've probably heard Sail on radio a few times, but he's got other good songs, e.g. Kill Your Heroes. Leningrad, a Russian punk band. Fish is a pretty good and recent song, but they've been active for some time now. The War On Drugs is an indie rock band, and their latest album is brilliant. Red Eyes is my favorite song from that album. |
