Rightstuf is having their annual 10/$50, 25/$100 sale. I could barely scrounge up 10 DVDs I wanted though. Last time when they had this I was able to get 4 complete series, not so much this time.

For me (in the UK), it is so hard to find cheaper anime, you sometimes have no choice but to DL them. Although I have got Cowboy Bebop's boxset, and also have GitS:SAC on boxset and will be ordering the rest of it (because its awesome) when I can afford to.

Also looking to getting Complete Evangelion too.

Mmm, Gurren Lagann vol. 1 limited edition prerelease at London Expo. So shiny... so mine...

Apart from that I don't get much chance to buy dvds, keep getting distracted by other merchandise =|.

The only thing I got from that sale was Desert Punk and Air Gear. I jsut don't have much money :( Saving for college, but I'm socking away a percentage of the money I get from work to buy anime DVDs.

The Best Buy Sale PWND my wallet. But I got some good anime from it :)

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | Mar 30, 2009 11:41 PM
Yeah I bought over 50 DVDs from that Best Buy Sale... lol. Gotta stop that impulse buying... ^__^

ZakuAce | Mar 4, 2009 1:33 PM
Don't forget Best Buy is having a big liquidation for anime, most titles 50% off if your store is one of the ones they are downsizing. Waiting to get some cash so I can pick something up!

I'll be going into Mechanical Engineering, I figure it must be as hard as your computer science. I'll watch what I can though :) The college I'm going to is in a fairly rural area, not a lot of places to go, so not a lot of reason to go out. Stay in and watch anime ^_^

TrIfOrCeShAdOwS | Feb 2, 2009 5:18 PM
Another thing in college is finding time to watch... With Anime Club Preparations (I'm the President), and Mid-Terms Coming up (This Week), and also Work, I don't get to watch as much as I would like, but I do manage to get a good bit in... btw I'm a College Sophomore in Computer Science.

ZakuAce | Feb 2, 2009 4:26 PM
Yeah no kidding, but I haven't got much money to spend. Gearing up for college, thats more important than buying anime for sure. After I graduate I can geta good job and get as much as I want :)

I've posted my comments about fansubs in the DVD thread...

I've been going anime buying crazy the past few months, I need to slow down (200+ DVDs) ^-^ but at least I got some of the classics and ones that are way out of print...

man you gotta love those Rightstuf deals...

ZakuAce | Jan 31, 2009 2:30 PM
I also support anime. I do not watch fansubs. I only watch stuff on the TV and legal internet site like stuff on joost. The creators of an anime deserve to get paid for it. I don't have a very large DVD collection, but I do my part.

I've been slowly buying anime dvds since 2001. My collection has grown since then and I am proud of it. Because of my support, I got to meet some cool people and get a lot of insight on anime as a whole. I still watch fansubs but more and more if it's licensed I'll blind buy and hope for the best. I'm more for compramise than anything else. However, I think more people should be buying their regional dvds to help the industry. If it wasn't for them anime wouldn't have gotten this big.

I've always been an advocate of buying anime. I watch fansubs, yes, but usually just of unlicensed things, and I always buy what's licensed. I'm glad other people care.

kirAth-shiAue | Jan 2, 2009 9:52 PM
Hi, just joined this club. I don't watch fan subs anymore. Only licensed anime. My collection isn't that big but it's slowly growing. After taxes I'll be able to buy a lot more.

I'm poor but I hope to make lots of money so I can support the anime artists (they deserve my money for all their hard work and effort).

Blazingluke | Aug 6, 2008 7:29 PM
I'm impressed with the quality of the Lucky Star DVDs. I have the first two :D

iwatch2muchanime | Jul 28, 2008 3:23 AM
