Is it just me or do all 3 have different styles? lol

Saya seems like a manga character, Rei seems like an anime character and Saeko seems like a sloppy anime character.

That's fine I guess, I'm no good at judging designs. I leave my final opinion for when I see the animation. :p

Thanks for the image. :)

Damn, I thought it was February. Oh well, one more month after a year isn't that bad. Though if it goes back on hiatus I'd scream. It would spell certain doom for the anime as right now there is not enough manga content.

The anime staff looks pretty star studded. :)

Thanks for the info gringe, really appreciate it. :)

Correction on the manga...

It will be running for 2 consecutive issues, after which the status is unknown. Many are suggesting that it may become bimonthly. Worst case scenario is it goes right back on hiatus.

The staff for the HotD anime has been revealed:
Studio: Madhouse
Director: Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Black Lagoon)
Series Composition: Yousuke Kuroda (Hellsing Ultimate)
Screenplay: Yousuke Kuroda (Hellsing Ultimate)
Character Design: Masayoshi Tanaka (Toradora!)

It's like a dream come true.

Character designs look great and accurate to the original (they didn't tone down breast sizes):

More news on the manga as well: it's becoming bimonthly, and will actually resume in the April issue of Dragon Age (on sale March 9).

Hopefully it doesn't go on break. In my mind, if you can't handle more than one series at a time, you shouldn't start it up. Triage X had an interesting plot, so it would be great if they both continued instead of just getting HOTD back.

Thanks for the info on the scans, definitely good to hear an update. :)

Triage X was on break last month, but I don't know its status this month. As far as I know though, it's officially still going as of now.

The scanlation of volume 1 is coming along smoothly, by the way.

alamarco | Feb 4, 2010 8:43 PM
Yup, good news about HOTD. Is Triage X still going? I haven't seen any scans of it so wasn't sure what happened. There was 3 chapters and that's it, it was getting kind of interesting too.

Highschool of the Dead manga is officially coming back, and it's even getting an anime!

Only thing I'm worried about is Triage X... Hopefully it doesn't go on hiatus, but doing three manga at once + doujinshi might be a little too much for one author to handle.

alamarco | Dec 9, 2009 7:57 PM
Awesome! I appreciate the effort you did with HSOTD. You bring us the best manga :D.

I'm looking forward to TriageX. It had some a interesting concept.

Triage X is still healthy and running just fine, but nobody scans the raws for the magazine it runs in.

Volume 1 just came out in Japan yesterday in fact. I'm planning on scanning and translating that and Fire Fire Fire if I can (I translated Highschool of the Dead, so I'm not just making stuff up here).

Thanks for the invite, he's one of my favourite authors. :)

Highschool of the Dead is my favourite manga, if only we had more of it.

Do you guys have any news of Triage X? Is it still being published? I read 3 chapters from one group, but haven't seen anything else. It was pretty decent and I was looking forward to it to fill the HSOTD void.

Yep.

gringe | Dec 8, 2009 12:45 PM
Nice going. His work deserves to be known by more people.

Inazuma rocks. I even added 2 out of 4 of his manga to the database.
