MAL Updater OS X 2.3.5b1 is released for testing for people who have donated or bought MAL Library from the App Store. This release improves title recognition drastically as we are now using the official API for search only. It's beta since it needs a bit more testing. You can install this by enabling "Experimental Builds" in Software Updates preferences and checking for updates.In the future, registered users can report recognition issues directly from the App instead of filing an issue on Github or using the forums here. Also, directory monitoring for new episodes will only be available for registered users since that feature will take some time to implement. These features are exclusive to those users as it costs money and time to develop, maintain and support the application. |

MAL Updater OS X 2.3.4 is now released with more bug fixes. Also, you can register MAL Updater OS X for free if you already bought MAL Library from the Mac App Store. This is the recommended option as you wouldn't' have to wait for a key to be sent. Other donation options will still be available if you don't want to use the Mac App Store. |

Note that MAL Updater OS X 2.2.12.3 or later will work with the default Atarashi-API URL. If you are getting errors saying the password is not correct, update to the latest version of MAL Updater OS X. |

2.2.13 is now released, allowing users who have donated to support the development of MAL Updater OS X to remove the donation message. While this program is open source, it takes time and money to develop and keep the program functional. Note that MAL Updater OS X might crash. It's because synopsis information is missing as the API does not currently return it and it hasn't been fixed. A fix is planned for 2.2.9 to prevent this crash and return that there is no series description. I have filed a bug report with the developers of Atarashii-API to fix it.Update: This is now fixed. |

2.2.9 will be released this weekend with improved recognition and bug fixes.As of today, Auto Exceptions has been updated and caught up to Taiga's anime relations list. The update was late due to being busy with real life, but hopefully it will be updated periodically in the future. |
