Oh man, that Stars/Hurricane game tonight. Stars up 4-0 end of the first. Ward gets pulled, Lack in at the start of the second. 5-1 Stars going into the third. 5 minutes and change left and the Hurricanes tied it up at 5-5. Lehtonen gets pulled and Niemi put in goal. 2 Hurricanes first NHL goals tonight, franchise record for most PP goals by a defenseman set twice tonight. Stars get a PP with under 2 mins left in the game, Sharp gets the winning goal with 18 seconds left. |

I've caught a couple of the NWHL streams. So far, any game played against Buffalo has no commentary and the only score updates are if you follow the team on twitter, or at intermission when the camera person focuses on the scoreboard. The stream hosting is on youtube, and it's pretty solid. It's not bad for free live streaming but has a ways to improve. (looks at the jump in quality of CWHL streams from last year to this year) |

Anyone have thoughts on the NWHL starting up this fall? It's exciting to see the first paid pro women's league, but it's sad to see pretty much the entire Boston Blades (CWHL) roster jump ship to the Boston Pride. I can understand why; the players will be making (small) money vs having to pay for everything out of pocket. |

It's been quiet here. With Detroit knocked out not much talk except for our coach is a "free agent". Babcock was given the okay to talk to other clubs.I hope he doesn't go. He's done great things. To bad our goal-tending was sucking the last month of the season. |

I don't know what's going on with Detroit. It seems they are imploding. I know we're having goalie issues, but the defense has been just as bad and letting the team down. I really fear that they could be out in the first round if they don't get their shit together. |

A new hockey manga just started. It's entitled Supinamarada!. Just in time also since the NHL is starting up full team practices and getting ready for the pre-season. God I love fall. |

Alright, I was not expecting the Bruins to be eliminated in that kind of fashion. Cool to see the Habs pull off such a victory and P.K. Subban's interview with Pierre afterwards just sums up what I love about him so much!! |
