I like him for his cool pose, plus two extra gloves, and not to mention the Fire spirit beside him. I don't know, maybe I like characters that are cool and funny, have terrifying powers and fear no one. I don't know but in Hao I see a bit of an anti-hero likeness. |

I think it is also because Shaman King is not as brainless and "simple" as most mainstream shounen. |

What went wrong? I think that it was the anime version. I liked it and it was my first exposure to the series.. but come on, the ending of the anime was really disappointing. Maybe if the anime had followed the manga storyline..Shaman King would be as popular as Naruto or one Piece. Anyway... at least the true ending of the manga was pretty good. ^w^ |

Indeed. It's one of the best shounen series out there, and yet it's not nearly as popular as crap like Naruto & One Piece. |
