The final twist in ORV is very niceI believe the reason its so popular is because: its tropy but executes them very well, and the art is very good, also people really are invested in the overall story, so they can let go of its lack of tension. IMO it actually tries its hardest to build tension, ulike most series that just stop trying when the MC is just too op. For example, im a vocal hater of solo leveling, where for me it started to suck when everyone started to -pardon the language- suck the MC's dick. No rivals, no tension, no engaging story, poor use of time rewind, a cardboard has more personality than the final boss. ORV tries to do stuff that makes people engaged you have plenty of characters, have the antagonist group with their own issues, characters are likable and get moments to shine on their on. MC actually gets put into tough situations, but sure he can come out of unscathed, but he always has to take detours towards achieving his goal. Its never just outpower opponents like most series. He has to go to x location. Do Y actions. try to get Z ally using his knowledge, all while the constellations try to fuck with his plans. Thats why i think people are forgiving, but thats just my opinion. you do you. May i ask why u didnt enjoy latna saga? How much did u read it? also agree with skeleton soldier/ToG. im also piling up the chapters :D |

@ironaceI'll have to check "dr frost", "Bastard", "terror man", "leviathan", "the boxer", "jungle juice". I've come across these titles before, maybe it's time to reach for one of them. As for Tower of God, currently I'm waiting for more chapters to pile up. I don't see the point of reading it chapter by chapter. "Skeleton soldier couldnt protect the dungeon" is also one of my favorites and the situation is the same as with ToG. I tried reading "survival of swordking..." once, but I didn't like it at all, so I dropped this one. And lastly when it comes to "Omniscient Reader", this one imo. is VEEERY overrated. I read the manga and later even the novel, but after 300-some chapters I just had to drop it. Nothing interesting ever happens there. I was always mindful that the author would once again pull something out of his ass and with that mc would save another day. Because of these ass pulls I never felt any emotion while reading it. That's why I started to wonder why read it at all, if it's never interesting.. That's my opinion about it. I actually wonder why is it so popular in the first place. To me it's very medicore. @raideroz-nimwell, i dont think i have anything similar to eleceed rn but you can check out the following that i think are top notch -tower of god(shounen/my fav- also has anime) -survival of swordking in fantasy world/latna saga (standard shounen/isekai that starts with OP mc who -get this- actually isnt THAT op, the series is sounderrated imo :D -skeleton soldier couldnt protect the dungeon (re0-ish) -dr frost (psychological/an overall solid series) -purple hyacinth (romancemystry/thriller, very slow build upbut the season finales are so worth it) -Bastard(or any series by that author really- best to go in blind also all series i know off by him are complete and can be fninshed in a day) -Omniscent reader (one of the best current series IMO) -wind breaker (sports/drama that i love) the ones below are pure action series -terror man -leviathan (AOT but on the sea) -the boxer -jungle juice cant think of any others right now hope this helps/ also i dont really care for romance so dont ask me for any regarding that ever lol |

I really liked "Lookism" anime and that's why I continued with the manhwa, but to be honest it wasn't that good, and at some point as you wrote, it changes and in my opinion for even worse. As for the "Girls of the Wild's", I once tried to read it, but I gave up, eventually reading the ending ^^. I have "Noblesse" on-hold, so maybe I should come back to it now, I completely forgot about it. Damn, it's getting harder and harder to find something good...
