yes because I got my acc back and changed the settings back to visible. but no my dark past has nothing to do with my lists. if you think I am ashamed of my past and present shit taste then you are gravely mistaken wspeaking of shit taste this season's best shows are asoaso, chio-chan, and grand blue and none of you can change my mind on that |

oi kora whom are you calling old.The reason why I prefer social media over chats is that I can talk to myself about the things that I like. and if somebody who likes the thing as well sees my post or I see somebody posting about the thing we both like, we start a convo from there so there is no need to forcefully start conversations as it is in chats. memes are good. memes are great. don't be hatin on memes. |

The good thing about this is coming back to a more relaxed-sensible chat, occasionally saying "Hi!" to everyone - akin to visiting your family once in a while for that nice family dinner. Like Yurippe, I might be too old but Discord is often too hectic and occasionally has people going overboard with currently-trending memes and emojis. However, I do use it for some smaller communities similar to this where I can anticipate the attitudes of people. |

I enjoyed my hs years quite a bit so I guess that's mostly the reason why we don't seem to have the same opinion on this matter wmal is decent I agree, otherwise it wouldn't have survived for such a long time. and I don't think it's fair to compare it to myspace since at least over here, when it was active, it was mostly for connecting with people you know irl like fb is now. Personally I never was a big fan of discord and I actually like migrating from one social media to another which is why at some point I moved from mal to tumblr and from there on to twitter and if another exciting social media platform appears at some point I'll gladly move there (I say that but the bitter truth behind my tumblr->twit migration was accidentally deleting my 3k followers acc whoops). |

I see, I'm honored then :PYeah, I guess it depends, and a there's a lot of factors to consider when talking about which is better; then or now. I'm out of high school, which is a good thing for me, heh. Other aspects are worse now. I don't know, it's both better and worse in different ways. Regarding the state of MAL, it's probably not what it used to be. I just use it to find, keep track of, and find ratings of animes. And yeah, the club system is impractical. Chats is where it is at now, like Discord. Guess all social media platforms rot away in the end (hey, myspace). Making a little visit every now and then is kind of fun though, right? |

"faintly recall" is way better than not too bad considering how bad my memory can get when it comes to remembering names.Ehhh I'm not saying it's less fun right now than it was before but it's a fact that in childhood we have way less things to worry about. Although I guess it does depend on a person. In my case I guess because I'm currently going through my annual winter lack of motivation I just want to while about how in high school level homework was way easier than graduate level assignments ww who knows. I guess it would be nice if it woke up again (a tiny ego boost for me since wohoooo a club I made still lives 8 years later!!!!) but then again do people even use mal as actively as they used to back then? there are so many better social media platforms for screaming about life and fandoms so using mal clubs for this seems a bit bothersome. but then again maybe it's just me who is reminded of my painful chuuni days whenever I go through old club discussions here which is why I tend to avoid mal recently ww |

Hahah, yes, good idea, that will shake those parallel 5ths out of my head!Good to hear you're good~ I kind of think things are easier now then those times, actually, which seems to be an unpopular opinion. For some reason, growing up is supposed to result in losing one's colors; but what is life without colors? Luckily for us grandpas/grandmas, everyone else in the club has grown the same amount, bwahaha! I'm doing quite fine, I believe, grinding music and trying to live life, I'd at least like to believe hohoh. And "faintly recall", that's not too bad, I'll take that. Might be I remember you a bit better as you're the leader here. I think you did a good job with this club, despite its abandoned state. Maybe it will rise again? |

ah yes sawano fever. I remember catching that too. a simple way to cure it is by listening to nothing but sawano for a couple of years.I have been doing good. although thinking back at how easy life was back in the days this club was active (correlation does not mean causation). aaaa I wanna go back in time. I feel like an old dusty grandpa myself ww U'm surprised with myself but yes I do faintly recall talking to a mal user zaikin before. How have you been doing? |
