You won't regret it. It's the pinnacle of Nagahama Tadao's 'romance trilogy' and it's the first robot anime to bring the SRS BSNS beyond the monster of the week:-sympathetic villains (beyond honorable warriors) -themes of racism (allegory) as a central conflict ...among other more standard shounen/anime themes. And yeah the GATTAI sequence kicks major ass, and the beast fighter design is to me superior to many super robot anime's. |
