Airi (愛離)A shinigami. She enters Kaoru's life with the intention of reaping his soul. She claims that Kaoru, as a "forever alone" type of person, will contribute nothing to society, so it is best for him to die before he becomes dead weight.She reluctantly lets Kaoru live after he states his desire to become normal, but she decides to watch over him in the hopes that he will fail at some point over the next three months, during which the shinigami are actively soul-hunting.
