Deanreldy is shown to be a shrewd, charming man, seen with a smile on his face in both public and private spaces. During his meeting with the Five Rulers and the Three Wise to mark the beginning of the Silver Night Festival, he compliments the witches and asks the newly introduced Lagler to call him by a nickname and subtly pressures him into a clasp of covenant, a move perceived by the Three Wise as a tactic to guarantee help from the witches in the coming winter months. Beldaruit remarks that Deanreldy can't be easily outmaneuvered, a testament to his intelligence. He seems to have a good relationship with his son, who is aware of his medical experiments and does not hesitate to run up to him while he's working for a hug. Contacted by the Three Wise for the organization of the Silver Eve, Deanreldy purposefully withdraws the information of the Wise in Friendship's succession from the Five Rulers, which causes a commotion when Lagrah shows up instead of the expected Engendale. He breaks up the commotion with his arrival, using his authority and politely worded remarks about the state of the five realms to gain silence from the Rulers. He then uses this technique to pressure the Three Wise to assure help for his kingdom. Deanreldy is later seen working in a large room on an unknown body alongside several outsider onlookers as part of a medical experiment. Unfortunately, the patient did not survive, adding another failure to the list of his mysterious experiments.
