A fellow japanese girl who attends dance school in New York together with Hikaru. She has an easier time getting picked for minor roles than Hikaru thanks to her much larger build. According to Hikaru, Shuri has a tendency to get carried away with promises she can't keep.
In the second novel Shuri is revealed to have been pressured into collaborating with broadway actress Anita Brussel in her scheme to kidnap Hikaru as revenge for her getting an important role in the upcoming musical "The Legend of Atlantis". When the kidnappers hired by Shuri withold Hikaru from Anita, the actress goes after Shuri instead. Upon finding this out Kyosuke remarks that he can never forgive Shuri, but he understands that she is a victim of Anita as well. Ultimately, Shuri confronts Anita along with Kyosuke, Madoka & Hikaru.
