Actress with talent and exceptional beauty, Sukeyo is the mother of Kasane, we know very little about her. After her death, she bequeathed to her daughter her mysterious lipstick. Sometimes, she intervenes to guide Kasane towards her destiny.
Regarding her past as Izana:
Izana Tsuki was born in the village of Akeiwa; due to her ugly appearance, local tradition dictated that she should have been killed. However, the midwife took pity on her and raised her in secret in another village, claiming Izana had died at birth. After taking on the appearance of Namino Tsuki, a girl from Akeiwa, Izana murders the ones who had wanted to kill her and flees the countryside, eventually meeting the real Sukeyo Fuchi and Atae Kaidou and launching her very successful career as a stage actress.
Regarding Sukeyo and Kasane:
Izana married Kaidou without telling him her secret; when he discovered it, after Kasane was born resembling the real Izana, he threw them both out of the house with no support. However, Kaidou's obsession with the persona of "Sukeyo Fuchi" (Izana's personality and talent and the real Sukeyo's appearance) drove him to madness, and he brought Izana and Kasane back to the house while forcing Izana to take on Sukeyo's appearance and continue acting.
