Not much is known about Topp's background. At some point in late November, U.C. 0079, she and her two teammates Dell and Arth - she piloting an MS-05B Zaku I, the others MS-06 Zaku IIs - stopped for food in the village inhabited by Kiki Rosita. Though Topp herself and her teammate Dell had no intention of causing trouble, Arth behaved arrogantly, suggesting that they just take what they wanted by force.
Topp demanded that he stop, threatening to kill him if he did not, but Arth's behavior ultimately resulted in a battle starting, in which all three were killed.
