I’m not even sad-sad today, it’s more like this layered mix of appreciation + devastation + wow they really took him out like that huh. Because narratively it worked. It hurt. It stuck. People are still talking about it because the absence actually means something.
Also yes he was insanely attractive. I’m not rewriting history. That man was drawn with intention. Tall, stupid pretty, stupid strong, stupid confident. I looked respectfully and also not respectfully at all.
But honestly my favorite part of today is the fanart. Everyone collectively going “we celebrate him anyway.” Birthday versions, soft lighting, modern AUs, silly doodles, tragic edits — it’s like a memorial but make it cute.
So yeah. Not real. Still important. Still remembered. Still That Guy.
