Ohyo! I love anime and manga and plan on learning Japanese and travelling there someday! :) I would like to become a manga scanlator to help other people enjoy them.
I play flute and basic piano, and I'm saving up my money to buy a harp. I am close to my goal now, and I've already found a teacher near where I live, so now the final step is picking out my harp! :D
I love chatting online with my friends and reading-- I read all the time! My dream is to become a published author. I have started writing about 64 novels, but am only working on approx. 10. I'm not exactly new to the whole manga/anime scene; I've been a fan of it for a few years now. I can't remember...I THINK I got into the whole thing by watching Naruto, which an anime-crazy friend of mine recommended... I didn't last very long with Naruto-- maybe 18 episodes! But it was a start and now I'm absolutely hooked! Then, I watched "Avatar: the Last Airbender" (I know, MAL says it's not an anime, but to me, it always will be the first anime I ever watched all the way through!) and pretty soon, I discovered "Vampire Knight". I watched the first season, halfway through I also started reading the manga, and thus began my obsession with MANGA MANGA MANGA! Thank you, Hino Matsuri!!!

I spend more time reading manga than I do watching anime, but I like them both pretty equally. Although, I must admit that I'm not a very dedicated reader -_- I'll get halfway through a long-running series (or I almost finish, as is most cases) and then drop the series for no particular reason... I guess one-shots and short serializations are really best suited for me, but I have finished quite a few long series in the past. Maybe this is a new habit that I've begun? Also, lately I've felt the urge to read my old favorites that I haven't looked at in a while and reminisce about how great they are and how wooooonderful the bishies are ^.^ But I have so many NEW stories that I want to read, I can't decide-- read old or new material??? @_@

My favorite genres of manga and anime are shoujo, romance, comedy, and some drama. Surprisingly, I found that I have liked a select few horror titles, such as "Ludwig Revolution". I also like a good action/adventure story if is well-done and doesn't drag on too long ;)
I will not watch/read anything yaoi or yuri or anything smutty/ecchi/hentai. But if it is hilarious or has a good (unpredictable) romance plot, I really enjoy reading it.
If you know of any good animes/mangas that you think I'd like, please recommend them! ^.^ I'm always looking for something new...
