Soo I'll be switching gyms soon. I'm kind of hesitant but i really don't have a choice. I'm hesitant because one, the gyms striking is Muay Thai based. Not to say i don't like Muay Thai but I'm a Karate guy and lets just say Karate kickboxing and Muay Thai kick boxing are more different then you might think. Karate is based on speed, accuracy, mobility, in and out. Muay Thai is more based on power, full motion, simple but very effective moves. And just the way a Thai boxer fights compared to how a Karateka fights is pretty different. Its kinda like comparing a tiger vs a bear. The tiger (Karate) moves and circles its opponent and aims for vitals as it strikes with speed. The bear (Muay Thai) is powerful and has many weapons. The bear's claws, teeth, the thickness of its limbs, are things to be cautious for. The bear can afford to take its time, wait for an opening and if it gets impatient it can just batter your limbs and make openings. The tiger must keep moving cause if the bear get a hold of him, the tiger is finished. I've grown a custom to fighting like a tiger. It works rather well sense I'm short.

Reason number two. The girl i like trains there. This is bad, there's a number of things that can go oh so wrong. To name just a few, i could easily get put into the friend zone. I don't usually swear but...F*********K that. If i train there, there's too much of a chance of that. I'll be around her too much. This just contributes to being put into the friend zone.

Anyway that's all for this week. If you read this, Thanks and let me know..

So today i read All Rounder Meguru 56. The thing is i experienced what happen in that chapter around the same time it was released. In the chapter Meguru losses yet anther fight after his hardest training camp yet. After the fight he questioned himself "Why am i doing MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) in the first place? Am i wasting my time?" he thought to himself "I'm not even good, but i feel like i have to be stronger" Those are the exact events and thoughts that happen to me and went through my mind. Just like Meguru i lost yet anther fight even after training my hardest for weeks and weeks. I gave up so much for training, I had no time for friends, no time for myself. I train, come home, try to do some work and pass out. I was so frustrated. To add to my frustration, i felt like i was improving as a fighter, my technique was better, my conditioning was better. But my technique was sloppy and i was gasses out by round 2. In the chapter after the fight Meguru isolates himself, thinks and questions himself and starts to cry out of anger and confusion. That's exactly what i did after the fight.

Its kinda weird, this all happen to me a few days before the chapter was released. Anyway, if you read this then thank you. I don't know why I'm doing a blog but i guess ill do weekly MMA blogs. Its really for myself. If you did read this and would like to read more in the future, let me know and I'll read your blogs if you want.

Thank You Oss!
