why cant yuri be more like yaoi?
in my extensive anime watching i have noticed a sad inequality between yuri and yaoi. when i watch yaoi or shounen ai, there is budding romance between the characters, physical interaction, and exciting tension. depending on the anime there is kissing, embracing, and sometimes much more. however when i watch yuri it seems like the attraction is merely emotional, extreme admiration, and not a realistic portrayal of love between girls.
perhaps i havnt found the rite yuri? what i really would like to see is an anime like junjou romantica yuri style! where the main character fights their feelings and supresses their desires. while the other main character entices them physically and emotionally forcing them to admit their feelings and surrender to it in exciting romantic bliss. im not lookin for a hentai, i want a genuine relationship between girls that develops and flowers into love.
if anyone has a yuri anime or more likely a manga (other than girlfriends) please comment!

how i rate animes/mangas vs others
anime is like a vice for me, an addiction. i indulge in it for pleasure. when i see other ppl rate animes that i adored im in total shock. who watches anime just to pick it apart?? lets face it hardly any story is without flaw. i rate anime by enjoyment. granted well done story, great characters, and art heighten my enjoyment ,thats a given. if an anime/manga moves me to tears thats truly a wondrous thing.if anime/mangas make me laugh, cry, or shout that makes it special to me and my ratings reflect that.
what i really hate is when a person judges anime by comparing it to all other animes. i cant compare kiss x sis to clannad! or perhaps hellsing to k-on! if ur mostly into thrillers and suspense i dont care about ur opinion on an ecchi comedy . if all u watch is slice of life school comedies of course ur not gonna get ur fix watchin horror and gore.
me personally i enjoy all genres of anime and if i see plot holes that cant b overlooked i drop it, y waste my time on an anime that i wont enjoy? or when a shojou manga is soooooooo thick on drama the lovely characters or mainstory line feels tarnished with ridiculousness i stop reading.however, i CAN overlook flaws if the strong points are top notch. as much as there is good anime/manga there are failures and i think sites like these are to help us sift thru the massive pile and find the roses among the weeds. everyone has an opinion and they have the rite to it, so there is my opinion on others opinions hahahahaha and how i truly judge and rate an anime/manga its all about pleasure, whether its eye candy and laughs or truly deep and profound story, or even on rare greatness all of that put together. why dont we all try to help each other find such gems instead of trash talking and dissecting ? yes i know i am a dreamer...lol
