Once upon a time, there was a princess who just wanted to find love herself. "Daddy no! You can't make me, I will absolutely not!" Princess Felicity Lockheart shouted at her father. "You are the crowned Princess of Scarlet Palace; you will obey my command and marry Gabriel tomorrow! There will be no more objections, do I make myself clear?" King Iden scolded. Felicity folded her arms angrily "Hmph!" She said as she stomped off to the golden staircase that led up to her room.

Felicity fell back on her fluffy bed and looked up at the scarlet colored canopy and closed her eyes. She let out an exhausted sigh and got up from her bed and went over to her balcony. Felicity loved to gaze at the beautiful scenery of the vast green hills of land and the lush forests in a far away distance. Then she has an idea, she could just run away so that she didn't have to marry Prince Gabriel! "Yes!" She whispered to herself in victory.

When night came, she let the rope that was secured to her bedpost drop slowly down her balcony. Felicity made sure to be extra quiet so that the guards wouldn't hear her. She slung her bag of clothes and other accessories over her shoulder and slithered slowly down the rope until she reached the ground. Felicity set off towards the luscious green forest that she always looked at from her
balcony.

"Felicity dear, it's time to wa-"Her mother, the queen of Scarlet Palace stopped when she saw Felicity not in bed. The champagne curtains in front of the balcony were blowing from the gentle morning breeze because the balcony doors were left open. And the queen saw the rope that led out the balcony and she gasped with worry. Amaranth, the queen, quickly went over to her daughter's dresser to see if her white gold necklace with a heart pendant attached was gone. Amaranth looked everywhere on her dresser but couldn't find it, so she knew that Felicity was actually gone, for she would never leave anywhere without her necklace. The worried Amaranth hurried downstairs and shouted "Felicity is gone!" And Iden whipped around with a shocked expression. "What?" He asked in surprise. "Felicity, I went up to her room and…and her balcony..the curtains..blowing..rope..necklace gone…" And she broke into sobs, she was so flustered that she couldn't say a full sentence. "Call the main guard! Tell him to assemble his squad and head out to look for Felicity!" Iden shouted to the captain.

Meanwhile, Felicity had made it to the forest and was singing gracefully as she traveled. She enjoyed the peace of the wonderful forest and the magnificent beauty of it. Though, she was in such a hurry last night that she forgot to pack food. She looked up at an apple tree and tried to reach the lowest branch but was too short. "I don't feed royalty scum like you." A mean deep voice growled. "Is that a tree talking to me?!" "Yeah! Now beat it!" It yelled and birds went flying out the top of the mean tree. Then three dwarfs appeared from behind the tree and didn't look happy. Felicity started running fast with fright and looked back to see the dwarfs chasing her. "Ahhhhhhh, somebody please help me!" She shouted in fear as she tripped over a log and twisted her ankle. All she could do is sit there and watch the dwarfs getting closer and closer, and right when they were leaping toward her, she saw fairies. They appeared right in front of her and waved their wands and colors of pink, blue, and green twirled around the dwarfs. Felicity sat there blinking in amazement as she saw the dwarfs vanish. The fairies turned around toward her and all gasped in fright and flew away. Right about then was when Felicity felt a cold gaze locked on her.

Felicity was too scared to see what else awaited her in this magical forest. She turned her head ever so slowly wishing she had never left home. When she had turned completely around she waited ten seconds before opening her eyes. Her eyes grew big as she looked up to see two bloodthirsty vampires glaring at her. They were male vampires, tall, black-haired, and red eyed gazing right into her soul. One was smiling like a maniac, while the other was staring her down with narrowed eyes and a terribly mean expression. Felicity screamed, hoping some other creature would hear and save her, and the mean looking vampire leaned in closer.

"You will not escape. Every creature in this forest fears us, we are the vampire brothers who will NEVER be defeated." He said in a monotonous strong voice as he was gazing straight into her blue eyes. Felicity's eyes were widened with terror with tears beginning to flow from them. The vampires took her to their home, which actually looked like a Victorian palace. The mean vampire shoved her in a room and told her to keep quiet for a while. "Hey you, what are you going to do? Torture me?! Why not just get it over with?!" He glared at her with those same narrowed eyes and started walking toward her. She tried running into the bathroom so she could lock it but he grabbed her wrists tightly not realizing how bad it was hurting Felicity as she squirmed trying to get free. "We both agreed to save the best part of the meal for last, but if you so dearly insist we can jump right to the best course." She started crying and fell to her knees in defeat and he released her and headed for the door. He stopped and said "And my name is Alucard, my brother's is Dracula. I don't mind what you call him, but you will call me nothing other than my name."

It was the next day and Felicity awoke with a spectrum of light piercing through the window and she smiled. "At least the atmosphere is lovely" She thought. She stretched and sat up to see Alucard sitting in a chair watching her through narrowed eyes the way he always looked. "What, did you forget you were in hell for a brief moment?" He teased rhetorically. "This isn't hell, not my idea of a luxury spa, but not hell." She countered narrowing her eyes back at him. "By the way Alucard, what happened last night?" "Last night?" He mocked. "You were supposed to suck the blood from my neck and hang my body above your fireplace as a trophy or something." He grinded his teeth together angrily. "We don't keep trash as trophies" He snapped and left. "Hmph!" She pouted to herself and noticed that her ankle no longer hurt, and saw it had a bandage on it.

A week had passed and Felicity was still alive in the room that was given to her by Alucard. "Why has she lasted this long in our house?" Alucard heard Dracula ask forcefully. "Because." Alucard countered not knowing a reasonable rationalization as to why he'd kept her alive. "Because?! Is that it? Just because? Oh, I guess I can't have a bite to drink just because!" Dracula practically yelled out at Alucard. Alucard walked off not wanting to pay any attention to his suspicious brother.

What is it? Why can I not just kill her? Why is it, that every time I look into her icy blue eyes that I find myself… Immersed?" Alucard thought to himself as he sat alone in his study. "Felicity…" He caught himself saying as a picture of her came to mind. Felicity entered his study and Alucard immediately got flustered and frowned angrily at her. "You're not supposed to leave your room unless I am with you." He scolded her. "Well I was bored, and you haven't come to visit my room all day." She said softly, blinking innocently at him. Alucard turned his back to her so she couldn't see his face. "Go back to the room, I'll be there later." "But it's already later." She challenged. "Go back now!" He yelled and she scampered away. He let out a sigh and decided to go out for a while with his brother.
"Hmmm…Now I wonder how they get out of this place." She wondered to herself as she was roaming their palace, trying to find a way out. She then found a room with beautiful lights that looked like stars on the ceiling and golden embroidered satin blankets draped across a bed. She wandered around the room curiously wondering if she'd find more beauty to discover. Then she saw a wicked looking jet black chair with wings of red attached that totally offset the beauty of the room. She saw a silver key in the chair and picked up the sparkling key from the cushion of the chair. She saw a little key hole on the woodwork of the chair that supports the cushion and slowly started to put the key in the hole and unlock it. The cushion lifted up and lay under it was a black undistinguishable hole. She didn't know where it led but her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to stick her hands in to see if she could feel a surface to land on of some kind. But instead, ropes flung across her wrists and she struggled to keep from falling into the chair only to fail and get sucked in by the ropes.

When Felicity opened her eyes, she was in the forest again. She had learned how to escape the palace! She quickly started walking through the forest with caution trying to find her way out so she could get back home. "Felicity, we are back and we brought something for you to eat." Alucard called from the door of her room. "WE didn't bring anything back for her, YOU did." Dracula snapped at him and Alucard just glared at him and turned his attention back to her door. Alucard opened the door to find her gone and he raced about the palace frantically to try and find her but found no sight of her. "Oh great, now your little human pet is out somewhere and has escaped, she'll tell the whole world about us now. You realize she's the only human to ever come to the Black Forest and live? Do you know what the rest of the people will do when they find out about all of the things that inhabit our home? Humans are headaches and they will be hindering us from doing whatever we please by trying dumb tactics to find us and imprison us. So we'll have to spend most of our time killing them off and what not, do you realize that? We should've drained every ounce of blood from her as soon as we found her." "Felicity you idiot, I'm going to kill you once I get my hands on you…If you're still alive for me to by the time I find you." Alucard thought to himself as he raced out into the forest with his brothering following him to try and find Felicity.

Persephone is the daughter of the goddess Demeter and god Zeus. She was playing in a field of flowers alone, when suddenly she vanished. Her mother, Demeter looked everywhere for her, and even convinced Zeus to help. In the end, they could not find her and Demeter grew depressed. They had no idea that she vanished to the Underworld where Hades convinced her to eat the fruit there, so she could never leave.
Hades smiled with satisfaction because he had one of the god and goddess’s daughters from the above world. He watched her day by day sit in the same spot and cry for hours and in the above world, Demeter was causing severe cold weather with her depression. The crops failed and the people couldn’t find enough warmth so lots of them died and went to the Underworld. Hades noticed this increase and wondered what was going on in the above world. More and more continued to come and he was getting irritated, one day Persephone gathered the courage to confront him. She asked him if she could go to the above world, and she promised she would come back as soon as she saw what was happening and could see her mother. Hades didn’t believe her but he knew he could bring her back himself if he wanted to, so he allowed her to go. He only allowed her one week and she agreed without complaint. He was so surprised that she didn’t try to raise the time and he asked her “Do you not wish longer child?” and she replied with a firm, brave face, “I’m just happy for that much. I am grateful for being able to see the above world and my mom again at all, that’s good enough for me”.
So Hades sent her to the above world and reminded her that she only had a week. When she arrived, she was in a small village and saw that the crops were plated in ice and she felt herself shivering as soon as she took a step. The wind felt like icy daggers hitting her in the face and her body ached from the pressure of the cold wind. No one was in sight because it was too cold to go out and she saw that people must be starving because the water in the ponds and lakes were frozen over, dominated by brutal weather. Persephone stayed in a village hut and before too long, Demeter heard that her daughter was residing there from another village inhabitant, so she fled to the village immediately.
When Demeter saw her daughter at the village she cried out with joy and immediately embraced her as the weather automatically turned very warm. When Demeter heard what Hades had done to her child, she cursed him and wished him a life of eternal unhappiness. During that week, Demeter and her daughter spent all of their time together and Persephone told her mother stories about what happened to her in the Underworld.
A week was over and Demeter watched Persephone disappear to the Underworld before her very eyes. When Hades saw her back he was shocked that he didn’t have to bring her back himself. Hades decided that since she came back as she was told, he would allow her to stay longer in the above world, doing this would also bring the number of people coming to the Underworld lower. Sp Persephone stayed in the above world for three more months and Demeter was joyous about that. But when it came time for her to return to the Underworld, Demeter got depressed again. More deaths fell upon Hades world as he kept Persephone. Aphrodite begged Hades to let her stay with her mother but Hades wouldn’t allow it, for she was in the Underworld so she was already dead.
However, Hades was shocked that Persephone was not weeping or begging him to go back to the above world with her mother. More and more people came to the Underworld, crowding it, and Aphrodite asked Hades to release Persephone again. This time Hades thought about it, for Persephone had shown him gratitude and great kindness the first time he let her go for only a week, and he was impressed by that. She hasn’t complained to him or begged him to go back up to the above world because she said that she was happy that he even let her go. Hades realized that Persephone was doing all of this for her depressed mother instead of for her own selfishness. He was moved by this and decided to release Persephone into the stars, so she could be close to her father, Zeus and so her mother could look up to see her anytime. Hades told Aphrodite what he decided and she told Demeter, so every night Demeter would look up at the stars and see a flower and knew it was her little Persephone. Hades had chosen a flower because not only were flowers able to bloom again when Demeter saw Persephone, but that Persephone never tried to escape the Underworld, but also never lost the will to keep going to the above world to see her mother. He compared her rising and falling to the underworld and above world, that of a flower. So now because of her determination and thoughtfulness towards others, she can be seen in the night sky, in the shape of a flower. Demeter and Zeus both looked at the sky each night to see their daughter Persephone bloom wildly in the twinkle of the beautiful night stars.
