Noah's Ark
"Mommy, can you tell me the one about you and daddy meeting again?" Felicity asked looking up at her mother, Keri, with bright shiny eyes. Keri looked down at her with a hesitant look. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?” Felicity begged. Keri sighed and finally gave in, for how could she say no to her cute pleading little froglet? "Alright," she said, "But only if you promise to go to sleep after this one story, ok?" Felicity nodded happily and cuddled up under the blanket looking up at Keri with an excited face. The story of her mother and father meeting and falling in love never grew old to her; she loved it and could listen to it forever.
"Once, long ago, back before I was blessed with you, there was a great flood that filled the land. This happened because God was unhappy with how the Earth was becoming, he considered man to be wicked and the Earth corrupt. He was sorry that he had even created mankind and this saddened him very much. So he decided to flood the lands to rid the wickedness of man and restore proper balance of life. But before he did this, he told Noah to build an ark that was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. He entrusted Noah to do this because he was a righteous man, he was also blameless, and he walked with God him self. And in turn God pledged to never flood the lands of the Earth ever again. Noah agreed to do this and then God said take 7 of every clean animal and 2 of every unclean animal. And he told them to take every kind of food that is eaten for him, his family, and for God’s creatures. And he did so, and that is how I and your father met."
"Mother, why do I have to go?" Keri asked her mom with sad eyes and a cry in her voice. "Because you were chosen for as one of the clean animals to represent the frogs. Don't worry, you won't be alone and I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends." Her mother said smiling reassuringly at her. "But I'll be alone not knowing anyone!" Keri croaked in fear. "Do not worry, you are in God's hands, he'll take care of you." Her mother said to her calmly. Keri looked back up at her mother with a sorrowful face and chocked back a tear to say "Alright mother, I understand." Her mother smiled "Now get on! You must hurry up and flee to the ark until Sir Noah orders you to board it. Do not be late! Hurry!" Her mother said strongly to Keri. "Alright, bye mother!" Keri said as she was running off to go to the ark with the rest of the creatures. "Keri?" Her mother called out to her in a strained voice. Keri turned around and looked back at her mother blinking curiously, wondering what it was her mother wanted. "I love you." Her mother said to her. "I love you too mother." Keri said as tears of despair rolled down her cheeks and then she turned back and ran away from her home, forever.
Keri ran through the forest at high speed with tears flowing from her eyes continuously and then she finally reached the ark where most of the creatures had gathered and she sat there waiting with all the rest of them. As she was waiting with them, for all the other creatures to get there, she sat there crying and crying. Not knowing what exactly to do, feeling alone and confused, she was so young to be this frustrated and sad. Then someone spotted her and saw that she was alone and crying, so they went over to her and watched her curiously with worried eyes. "What's wrong sweetie?" A gentle feminine voice questioned her. Then Keri looked up from where the lovely voice was coming from with wide eyes still swollen from tears. "Who are you?" Keri asked looking up at the flamingo with an innocent look on her face. "My name is Malerna, and what is yours my young little froglet?" Keri paused for a moment trying to gather her self and then said "I'm Keri." She said with a composed face. "I see, and it is a very nice name, so then, tell me Keri. What is it that was troubling you so?" Keri looked back down at the ground in sorrow again "I was chosen as one of the seven clean frogs and got separated from my family..." Keri said as she was trying to fight back the tears but was defeated and started breaking out in sobs again "I'll never be able to see them ever again” Keri finished wiping her arm across her eyes trying desperately to stop herself from crying. "Awwwww there, there my little froglet” Malerna said as she was patting Keri's head with her wing and watching her with a stressful face. "But you know little one, just because you can't physically see them, doesn't mean they're not with you. Look there for instance!" Malerna told her pointing at the ground as Keri looked to where she was pointing. "That's dirt, what about it?" Keri asked confused. "Why, they could be the ground, the wood, or even a cloud from above watching over you. It's a job that we parents have, and we can't stop doing that job ever. So we're always looking over our little ones, no matter where they are or how far away they may be. We're always watching you; you just can't see us because we camouflage ourselves." Keri cocked her head to the side curiously and asked "But why do you want to be camouflaged?" "Why because if our little ones knew we were here with them, they'd depend on us and not try things out themselves." Malerna said with a teasing smile. Then Keri's face lit up and she started to smile again "Yeah you're right lady Malerna, my parents ARE here, because I can feel them watching me." Keri said wiping the final tear out of her eye and lively grinning happily at her. Malerna smiled warmly at her and sat down beside her as they waited for departure.
It has been 7 nights since they entered the ark, and tonight was the night that the flood began. Keri was no longer with Malerna, for she had gone to sit with some of the other flamingos she knew and Keri didn't want to intrude on her and her friends. So Keri sat alone yet again and just daydreamed about what it would be like when she got off and what her home would be like. Or if she would even know how to make it back home. Just as she was thinking what to do to occupy her boredom, Noah came down and told them it was time to eat and carried out all sorts of herbs and plants and cabbage for the bunnies and plenty of grasses that she could snack on to occupy her boredom. Just as she picked up a stick of celery she felt someone tug on it and then immediately let go because she was a gentle frog, and looked up to find another frog looking at her. She looked away quickly to try and keep from staring, and then went back over to her spot to try and find sleep. Then she heard someone hop up to her and she opened her eyes to look up and see it was him, the one who was tugging on the celery. "Here” he said giving the stick of celery to her. "Oh no, it's alright, I'm not really hungry anyways." Keri replied looking away embarrassedly. "It's ok, I have plenty more, see”he had a bundle in his free arm” Besides, if you don't eat you won't get energy to play with later." He said looking at her continuously. "But I don't need energy because I don't play." Keri answered with her head down watching herself twiddle her webbed feet. "You don't play with the few other frogs that are on here with us?" He asked her with a concerned voice. "No, I don't." She answered shyly. "Just like me” he said with a light voice. "Well, we can stay together, then." He said perkily as she looked up at him and suddenly smiled happily and excitedly asked "Really?! Do you really want to?!" "Sure, why not? Besides, we seem a lot alike and I think we'd get along perfectly." She smiled wider than ever before and instantly without thinking hugged him "Thank you! I'm so happy to have made a new friend! I am so happy!" She beamed with joy and then realized she had hugged him capriciously and turns away blushing from embarrassment. He smiled as he looked at her "Oh." he said suddenly. "What is it?" Keri asked nervously thinking he had forgotten something and was about to leave. "I forgot to ask your name, may I be privileged in knowing it?" He asked her chivalrously as he looked at her curiously, anxiously waiting for an answer. She blushed more at how chivalrous he'd been and then quietly said "It's Keri, that's my name." "Keri,” he repeated “What a magnificent name, my name is Philip." She looked up at him and smiled then said "Philip, I like that name." "Uhmmm Philip?" She asked nervously “Yes Keri?" He replied curious to know what it was she was going to ask him. "Uhmm, well, that is..Well..I was wondering..Uhmmm...Well you see..I.." Keri stammered as she was trying to find the right words to say. Philip leaned his head to the side and looked at her puzzled and curious as she stammered with her words. Keri looked up to see him looking at her, waiting patiently and then looked back down with her face blood red in embarrassment. "Weeeeell, I was wondering...If you would..Want to..Stay here with..Me..?" She peaked up at him to see the reaction of his face and he had a shocked expression on his face and then he smiled and said "Of course! I have no one else I'd rather talk to” he said with a warm smile and then said "Hey Keri?" She looked up at him smiling and answered "Yes Philip?" He looked at her and she looked back at him, then he held his hand out toward her. "Do you want to eat now?" He asked her and she giggled and then took a piece of celery from his hand and they both started laughing as they looked at each other. This was the beginning of a new and wonderful love.
"I wish I could see the cherry blossoms again, they were so pretty, I used to spend hours just admiring their beauty." Keri said as Philip lay beside her with his eyes closed imagining her words. "They were so pretty with their light pink colors, and so gentle. I always compared myself to them because they were so soft and gentle and they seemed shy, since they only came out during the spring and hid again when the summer came." Philip smiled with his eyes still closed, Keri looked at him and then sighed. "Will we ever get out of here?" She asked in an exhausted voice. "Of course we will, God promised it, why do you think we boarded the ark if we weren't meant to get off?" He told her calmly. "Well I guess you're right, I'm just so anxious because it's been 20 long and dreadful nights of water, water and more water." She sighed again as she rest her head on his shoulder as he lay beside her. "Don't worry Keri, soon enough we'll be out of here and we'll enter a new world, a world that we'll live in peacefully for the rest of our lives." He said smiling and she couldn't help but smile too. They both fell asleep in bliss, dreaming of the world that would soon come to them. Keri dreamt of Philip playing in a green field with her, covered with buttercups and daisies. She dreamt of how the green grass looked like ocean waves the ones her good pelican friend's mother had told her about, when the wind swept over it gracefully. And Philip dreamt about Keri coming with him to a place he had always wanted to live, the ocean. And he dreamt that they together, lived on their own, only relying on each other. Living together eternally with much happiness and no trouble at all, since they had each other to be with, forever. Then, abruptly, the ark shook back and forth terribly fast and it jerked them from their blissful dreams forcefully. Keri got nervous and clung onto Philip and he held her protectively next to her as they slid uncontrollably from side to side. A lot of the animals tried gripping onto one side of the ark with much strength, only to be thrown to the other side of the ark powerfully. Many of the others were crying out with terror and a plea for it to end. Then, as suddenly as it had begun, it ended. Everyone looked around and Noah said "Dear beloved creatures of God, have no fear, for God is with us." And everyone was calmed in an instant. Keri looked around to see everything was the way it was before the whole stir up. She sighed with relief and then looked up to realize she was still clung to Philip and she saw him looking down at her smiling. She frantically threw her arms back and hopped back over to their spot. Philip followed her and put his arm around her and said "It's fine, ya know, I don't mind." He said smiling warmly at her and she smiled back and said "Thank you Philip." With a peaceful and loving tone in her voice. And she lie beside him again and continued her dreams of bliss with Philip.
"Philip! Philip! Wake up!" Keri yelled anxiously. Philip gradually opened his eyes and started groaning. "What is it Keri?" He mumbled in a tired voice. "Noah's sending a dove out! The water is starting to lessen and disappear!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Wha-?!" Philip started and then ran over to the window to watch the dove fly off with Keri on his heels. "Man I really hope that dove comes back with a piece of grass or something. I long to finally see the outside world again. I wish I was that dove right now, so I could get a glimpse of the outside world and taste the fresh air again. Oh how I miss it so much." Philip went on and on. It was obvious to tell that he missed land oh so much but he waited patiently because he knew God was going to answer their prayers for fresh air soon. "I know Philip, but for now, all we can really do is wait. Besides, thinking about it will just make it that much harder to live without." Keri told him with a sympathetic smile. It was a couple of hours later and the dove came back with nothing and so Noah drew it back in and everyone's hopes were dumped. Noah had told them that he would try it again in seven days, and so everyone nodded and waited. The seventh day came that Noah sent the dove out again and everyone watched it fly away hopeful faces. "Philip?" Keri asked in a confused tone. "Keri?" He answered back with a teasing grin. "When we do get off of here, what are we going to do?" She managed to ask while looking down at the floor sadly in worry that he was going to leave her. "Hmmm, I don't know, why do you ask?" He curiously responded to Keri. "Well, it's just...I don't want to leave you, because..Because I...Because I love you." Philip's eyes widened in astonishment. And then he smiled at her warmly and replied "Well Keri, I am so glad to hear that, we have grown so much together on this ark, and I have grown to love you too, and I want you to know, I have no intention of parting ways with you when we get off the ark, simply because of that fact." He smiled again and looked at her and she asked in shock "Really?!" And he said back to her "Really." And she asked again in excitement "Really for real?!" And he smiled happily at her then leaned down and gave her a kiss and said "Really, for real." Keri was overjoyed with this and she hopped up and down and hugged him happily. Then suddenly Noah saw the dove that he sent out come back and as he drew out his arm to bring the dove back in, the dove had in her mouth an olive leaf. Once everyone saw this they sprang up with joy and laughter and Philip and Keri were hopping up so high in the air with joy. Noah told the creatures that they couldn't leave yet though, and he send the dove out one last time, and they waited and waited for it, and it never came back. Keri and Philip were anxious with excitement and were hoping they would be able to get out soon. Twenty-nine days later Noah opened the door of the Ark and saw that the water was gone and all of the creatures cheered out in happiness. But Noah told them they couldn't leave yet, and everyone asked him why not, and he told them because God didn't order it yet. "But Sir Noah, you can see that there is no more water, perhaps God thinks we'll just find out on our own?" One of the male lizards suggested. "No, I will not risk it, we shall stay in here until we receive God commands us otherwise. He knows best and he will speak to guide us, for he has done it with helping me build this wonderful ark that saved us. Therefore, we shall wait." Noah explained to them righteously and they all nodded their heads and agreed.
Eight weeks later God called to Noah and said "You may all go out now." And when Noah opened the door to the Ark, the Earth was completely dry and all of the animals and amphibians and birds and reptiles, all of God's creatures flooded out of the door of the Ark in pairs and groups and started dancing around in joy. Some were finding land to graze upon, while others started re-building their homes. Keri looked around with a wide smile, Philip right beside her mimicking her moves. Then Keri noticed Malerna getting ready to leave the land in search for a tropical place. "No." Keri murmured in despair. "Hmm? What is it Keri?" Philip looked at her with a concerned look and then Keri took off quickly running as fast as she could to catch up with Malerna before she left with her fellow flamingo friends. "Keri! Where are you going?! Wait please!" Philip pleaded and started bolting off after her wondering what her distress was about as he was trying to catch up to her. Malerna had just risen of the ground for flight and Keri gasped with terror and gathered all of the strength she had in her to leap from the ground and hang onto Malerna's wing. Malerna looked down to see what was tugging at her wing and saw Keri holding onto it with all her might. Then Malerna called to her other friends saying she would catch up. Malerna landed on the ground to talk to Keri one last time before she left. As Malerna landed Keri lost her grip and started falling, only to be caught in the worried Philip's arms. "Are you crazy?" Philip nagged at her. "You could've fell and broken a leg from such a distance, and it wouldn't have been her fault, just because she's tall." Keri looked down sadly "I know, I just wanted to see Malerna before she left". Malerna looked at Keri with a sympathetic smile and said "Oh Keri, please don't be upset, everyone must go their ways, do you understand?" Keri began to cry "But I'll never be able to see you again. Maybe Philip and I can live where you live." Keri said in a stressed tone. "Oh but you can't do that, frogs must live in cooler climates, plus you guys prefer marshes and forests. Now Keri you are nearly a fully grown frog, you must accept things as they are, it's part of growing up and maturing. Surely you understand?" Malerna said in a motherly voice. "Yes I understand Malerna but I just don't want to watch you walk right out of my life like this." Keri complained. "Well it's not as if we're never going to see each other again. We can still drop by every now and then to see how you are doing, and when the geese change their location, they'll be passing through most of the forests and they can drop off messages I give them for you and what not." Malerna explained to Keri earnestly. "Well ok, I am happy just as long as I get to talk to you sometime and never become permanently separated. At least we still get to talk. So I guess, this is for the best." Keri admitted in defeat with her head hanging down. Philip just sat there listening to them and looking at Keri in sympathy. Malerna looked up at the sky and then back down at Keri who was still moping. "Well I must be off now, take care, and remember that you're never truly alone". Keri's head shot up fast and then hurriedly went over to Malerna's ling leg and hugged it tightly while saying "I'm going to miss you Malerna! And I'll be sure to tell you where I am once Philip and I get settled somewhere." Malerna looked down at her with one last smile and to her surprise, Keri was smiling instead of sobbing. Malerna nuzzled her beak against Keri's cheek and flew off into the cloudy sky as Keri sit there waving her off happily with Philip sitting beside her smiling.
It was a cloudy, sunny day with mist hanging in the air promising a rainbow to come. "Oh days like these remind of back then. Don't they do the same to you, Philip?" Keri sighed with relaxation and ease. Philip was sitting on the moss pile beside her. "Indeed it does, it hasn't been so long since then, only a few months." He replied not taking his eyes away from the sky he was gazing at. Philip and Keri had gotten to know each other so well, and were now officially partners in life. They spent most of their days playing in the pond in which they lived beside and hopping from lily pad to lily pad chasing after each other playfully. Ah yes, all of their days together were filled with laughter and love. Their love could never weaken or fade, because day by day it only grew stronger and stronger. Philip and Keri would now forever enjoy a live of bliss and eternal love all because of the destiny that God had chosen for them. "Philip?" Keri called out trying to get his attention. "Yes Ke-" He stopped midsentence and softly smiled "Why hello, it's nice to see you again Malerna." Philip said as they all smiled together warmly creating a pleasing atmosphere of love.
"Once, long ago, back before I was blessed with you, there was a great flood that filled the land. This happened because God was unhappy with how the Earth was becoming, he considered man to be wicked and the Earth corrupt. It has been 7 nights since they entered the ark, and tonight was the night that the flood began.

I Am Sorry
Dear one that is filled with sorrow,
I am sorry, I did not intend to hurt you so. How was I suppose to know that we would become like this, how was I supposed to know that these things would happen once we became like we did. I had no idea, no intention, no clue. But that doesn't justify the endless sea of pain I have sent you to voyage through alone. I want to make things right again, I never wanted things to whrl around me, making a mockery of my what was once happy life. It is as they say, the world will turn against you if you experience too much happiness. But I blame it upon myself. I was the one that was selfish. The one that was ignorant of your suffering. I now know what a tragedy it is because I am in the same whirlwind of hurt. Though I could never say that I am hurting more than you. You told me lies, I knew they were lies, yet I fell ignorant to the fact that they were truly lies because I wanted to believe you were alright. Though now I know that one cannot have everything in life. And now that I know this I have become very depressed and confused. I try to reach out to you, but each time I get shunned. I try to find out a way that I can have both things in my life, but now I know that it is selfish of me and I cannot have both. I want to because I have become very fond of you, of our memories, of our meeting. I am sorry to have saddened you so. I want and will do anything in the world that I can to make you happy, but you are the on that has to tell me what that something is. I am sorry there is only one thing I cannot give you, I wish I could, because then it would remedy everything that is tattered and torturing. But alas I cannot, though I can reassure you, one day you will be given it by someone. Someone better than me, someone smarter than me, someone more caring than me. Because that is what you deserve and it is what you will get for being patient and strong. Dear sorrowed one, you have tried so hard, I am sorry to have put you through tough times, I used to be the one that would be there for you, the one that you could entrust with anything. But now it seems that you do not wish to share that blissful trust with me anymore, I do not blame you, but I want you to know, I am reaching out, all you have to do is accept and I will help you in any and every way I can. Dear sorrowed one, you will be happy one day soon, because you deserve it, and because you are the kindest heart I have ever met.

Stress fades and depression dominates
There's been so much on my mind lately. In school problems, and out of school problems. It's a lot to handle all at once. I feel like a big pile of stress has been weighed on me just for the heck of it. Trying to deal with it all at once is giving me a headache and making me dizzy. And for once..I actually am considering talking to someone about it. I know right? Me of all people talking to a counselor? Ha ha, well I know a counselor at my school named Mrs. Huffman, and she's a writer just like me so I feel a little bit relazed and at ease talking to her about things. However I don't think she'll be able to help me much. I've been stressing over finding out ways to resolve these problems that are stressing me out and I've found myself so much more tired than usual. And I also find myself no longer smiling like I usually find myself doing. I think that my stress is fading away and depression is consuming me where the stress was dominated by the depression was. I feel as though my head is about to burst looking for so many answers to so many non-related subjects all at once. And I know that they can't wait..If they're delayed it will only get tougher and I will only struggle more, so I find myself asking this odd question, "How do I get rid of this and resume my life as the way it should and used to be?"

OMFG I THINK OLD WOMEN ARE "HOT" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ok so Tuesday me and my friends went to see New Moon at the theaters...Well after we did that we went out to eat, and me and Caroline were sitting at a window seat and a high table..She was sitting in front of me and she was making faces to people as they drove by coming from the drive-through window. When we're together we do weird and funny stuff..Anyways I was just observing and I looked out the window and I was like "Oh that dude's pretty hot" and whenever the car pulled down further towards me I was like "Oh wait...That's an old woman!!!!" and Caroline started busting out laughing! Audrey and Desi were wondering what was so funny and everytime she tried to tell them she started busting out laughing, then she finally told them and they started busting out laughing..And the employees were looking at us with the "What the heck?" faces and Desi told all of her and my friends about it and of corse they laughed too..But I have an excuse! Caroline was in a better seeing view, she could see their whole face and I couldn't..So it's not entirely me fault...=< So yeah..I couldn't see their faces very well u.u

The Single Pure Rose and The Falling Rain
I am so lucky to have met you
For you are like that of a single pure rose
Surrounded in a field of tainted roses,
Yet I am the rain that gets to be blessed
With the privalige to land on your smooth, rare petals and absorb,
The warm love in which you radiate
I want to land only on your petals,
Because they contain the love that sustains me
And keeps me from drying and disappearing.

Can I have a break for once please?
Well I'm the sort of person that's so clumbsy that they can trip over flat ground. I don't know how many times I tripped/fell/embarrassed the fool out of myself last year but this year I am keeping count...So far 3...Once because I tripped over a little plant when John(one of my guy friends) was chasing after me another time when I was coming in from outside and it was a rainy day and i slipped, and just today...I was going to be late for class and right when the bell rang I appeared right at the threshold (running) and tripped over it flat on my face in front of my whole first period class...I mean OMG! I don'tget a break from humiliation ever..last week the huliation was me being in Foods I class and we were in a hurry to finish the biscuts we had made because class was about to end, and I reached in the oven(not thinking)without getting oven mits, grabbed the pan, screamed "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" flung it out of my han and the biscuts were pretty much ruined...Some of them scattered accross the floor and those that stuck to the pan were still not good because the pan was flipped over...Yeah...I never get a break to I? Why must I be blonde? Why couldn't I be a brunette or redhead? The blonde life is really frustrating =/ *sigh* There's not a day in my life that isn't out of the ordinary.
