Anime Relations: Overlord
Heyo guys!

How was your week? Mine was pretty busy, but I still had time time to rewatch one of my favourite recent animes - Overlord.

Since it's the only one I completed this week, my first 'BestOfTheWeek" will be dedicated to this one. But I also started watching Ai Yori Aoshi and KissXSis, so I guess there will be some stuff for next week, too :)

///Disclaimer - this will probaly include some spoilers. If you are simply looking for a review with a more serious approach, go through the review section of the anime itself.

Well. Overlord. Pretty ok'ish I guess. I like the concept of the game, also the art is pretty good.
The fact, that the main character is overpowered beyond comprehension was actually the reason why I decided to rewatch this anime.

As you might know from my profile, I really like Mahouka, and with that I started to search for animes with the same "air" as Tatsuya. This one was pretty close I guess.

Overall, I'd say it's good, and if we get a season two, I will probably watch it, once it's entirely translated.

///End of Overlord stuff

Extra:
Argh, I also started reading Fujimura-kun Mates, a Harem/Comedy/Slice-of-life Manga. Actually, it's so good, that I read through class the entire day. I wonder why nobody cared that I had my tablet on my desk 6 hours straight. kek

Anime Relations: Chobits
Hey there!

Thanks for finding your way to my blog!

My name is Moritz, but my friends and classmates rather call me either Momo or Splashy, the choice is yours :)

I'm currently 21 years old and went back to school after finishing my apprenticeship in February '15.

I really love Anime and Manga, and both takes a special place in my life up until now.

////disclaimer - here now comes the boring story of me and manga/anime, if you don't want to read this, its fine. Once I'm done, I'll mark it so you can just scroll down!

I started out with Anime when I was around six to seven years old.
A friend of mine had recently got a Gameboy Colour with Pokémon Silver, and I desperatly begged my parents to buy me one, too.
After months, they finally gave in and bought me a GBC and Pokémon Gold as a christmas present.
I instantly became a HUGE fan of the pocket monster series, and also started to watch the anime, wich was aired right after me coming home from school.

The Pokémon anime was great! Well, it used to, but that is another story.
But next to Pokémon, there were several other animes, wich aired either saturday/sunday morning or -as already said- weekdays around 2-4PM.
Dragonball, One Piece and Shaman King.

I fell in love with all of the four, and Shaman King is up to now the only thing I watch all day, if I'm tied to bed due to one of my illnesses, wich kinda hit me pretty often - I'm not fragile or anything, but somehow the flue kinda likes me. Don't know.

So, it has been one of those night I just couldn't sleep because of all that coughing, so I snacked my mothers laptop hoping to be able to watch the next Dragonball episode, since I didn't want to wait 'till tomorrow.

That was my first step into the world of anime - and one I will never regret!

Instead of Dragonball, I found huge loads of Anime and Manga (wich in the meantime already had some of, Dragonball and Naruto mangas.).

Unable to really comprehend what I had right in front of me, I randomly took one and started to watch.

And that anime was Chobits.

What to say about Chobits, in my eyes, it's a masterpiece. I'm probably influenced, since it's the first "real" anime (real in this case probably means something like non-mainstream, non-airing-in-tv-anime) I watched.
I re-watched it countless times, and it still doesn't get boring or old.
The story is so happy and sad at the same time, the characters are decently voiced, the plot is unexpected - something I miss in the new anime seasons - overall, probably my favourite anime, not the best I've ever watched, but my favourite.

After Chobits I of course didn't stop, next were animes like Seikishi, Erementar Gerad, Zero no tsukaima, and much more.

But enough for now, I think you get the point. :)

////end of the life-flashback! :D

Actually, I use myanimelist for quite some time now, but I never convinced myself ot create an account, up until now.

What I want to do here, since I decided to actually ivolve me somehow in this great community, so I thought writing some blogs once in a while wouldn't hurt.
I already have some plans for those blogs, check them out!

  • ThrowbackThursday: Every thursday, I will wirte a blog about an anime I've seen years ago, the ones that influenced me and my taste towards anime. This blog will be dedicated to those animes, I still like until now.
  • BestOfThisWeek: This blog will be published maybe every two or three weeks, if I hit someething mentaionable, wich I want to show you. This can contain recent, new anime episodes, random Manga I found and started to read, J-RPG's I started/finished to play, anything.
  • <more coming soon>

I hope you will like this, and if you do, just come back to read my stuff once in a while! That's all I'm asking for! :)

Alright! That was much to read, and if you did, chapeau!

Ah, and feel free to message me anytime, about anything! I love talking about different stuff, let it either be anime or personal stuff, if you need someone who listens, come to me! :)

See you,
Splashyyy
