how i name my cards

hi whoever is reading this that isn't me, i'd like to show you my process of naming cards that saves me a ton of time and anguish

first of all, i always make cards in the same .psd. oh did i mention i only use ps? sorry. you can probably replicate this with whatever program you use, or atleast some of the steps. i make sure all my cards are in the same psd to make naming easier. i'll use screenshots to make this easier. since mal downsizes the images feel free to click their links to look at it better.

next thing i do is make an action. to find the action bar make sure its enabled first. then follow the steps to make an action. the purpose of this is to just get rid of the "save as" steps you continuously need to do in ps for each card.

next you'll look at your side bar and locate the action tab -> make new action -> name it whatever you like -> hit record and do the steps you'd do when saving a card as png/jpg (it doesn't matter which card) -> stop recording

alright we're done with that, if you're accustomed to using actions this will be very easy. how to use it? first just choose your card you're naming. check spoiler.

alright that's done and all but you need to actually name the file names right?
usually i'd open three windows.
1. the edition thread
2. the folder my card is saved in
3. ps for naming
as seen below

usually for naming cards i have the person's name copied to make things easier, via naming the cards && file names
but there's this one annoying popup i get every time with naming files, when you have two of the same names it'll ask about it being a duplicate and you press yes to keep both. see below.

yes that popup/prompt is what i'd like to get rid of. and when i did it saved me a ton of time, now it just clicks itself. how? with a script, and this is veryyyyy easy because it does the work for you. nothing complicated. how do this?

first download autohotkey. its safe !! just install it and leave it alone, no need to run it.

second open notepad and copy this in:

this is the script that clicks the "yes" on that duplicate prompt. save your notepad file as .ahk (save as) / save it wherever you like as long its somewhere you can run it easily

i know this is a lot but trust me it's saved me a ton of time / of course this depends on if you name cards in a similar fashion as i do

and that's all! ty for reading i swear its life changing call now and get 1 for free for only $399 money back guarantee
