Top Six Most Powerful Romances
There have been hundreds upon thousands of romances through the course of animu history but only a few could be considered 'amazing' and fewer still could be considered 'powerful'. What exactly is a powerful romance? Simply put, it is love or adoration that can cross and/or even influence the barriers of race, species, time, space, heavens, and dimensions. The following is a list of the six most powerful.
WARNING! May Contain Spoilers...
Belldandy & Keiichi - Ah! My Goddess
Who knew that all it took to get with a goddess was to be a mild mannered loser? Regardless of how their relationship began, Keiichi and Belldandy quickly became infatuated with one another. Due to outside interferences, their relationship developed slowly, but eventually became a bond that demons, gods, and humans alike came to respect and, depending on what side of good and evil they were on, fear.
Eureka & Renton - Eureka 7
It was one of the best developed relationships I've ever seen. From their first meeting till the finale Eureka and Renton rode the roller coaster of love. Together they discovered themselves and each other and finally came to express their love...by saving the world. Despite being of different species, Eureka and Renton will go down as being the best 15 year old man and wife of all time.
Neiro & Kaiba - Kaiba
Imagine your loved one. Now imagine that you/he is now a 14 year old gilr and you/she is a now a 300 pound giant. Would you still love them or even recognize them? Even with their memories scattered and altered, Neiro and Kaiba were inexplicably drawn to one another in those bodies. In the end, they get both their bodies and memories back, and because of Neiro, Kaiba is able to save the day.
Haruhi & Kyon - Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
A kiss from out of nowhere stops the end of the world. If thats not power, what is?
Haruka & Yu/Karasu - Noein
In the series Noein, there are infinite dimensions. For example, if you rolled a die right this instant, there'd be six dimensions born from that, one for each outcome of the die. For each outcome, another dozen are born dependent from your reaction. From there, another hundred dimensions are born, and so on and so forth. So with all these infinite dimensions running around where you could end up being a goddess, a coralian, a 300 pound giant, or ruler the universe, do you think its possible to be in love with the same person each time? The answer is, ridiculously, yes. Their love traveled and saved all dimensions.
Crazy.
Haruka/Reika & Kamina - RahXephon
This one isn't so much powerful as it is strange. Kamina and Reika begin their relation ship as a school crush, but throw down some crazy mech storyline and they end up meeting again...with over a decade of years between them. Kamina doesn't realize it at first, but the now much older Haruka is battling her feelings for the young stud. The fact that she waited for him to appear again is powerful, but I gotta admit, I added this in just because its friggin hot.
There you have it. Not the greatest of all romances, and not the most lovey-dovey of them all, but the most powerful.

The Best 12 OPs of All-Time
Anime Relations: Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga Daiou The Animation, Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou, Samurai Champloo, Bleach, Serial Experiments Lain, Seihou Bukyou Outlaw Star, Lupin III: Part II, Death Note, Baccano!, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Kaiba
This right here is a list of the 12 best all time animu OPs in my less-than-humble opinion. I couldn't be bothered to rank em special, so they'll be alphabetical.
Azumanga Daoih - "Soramimi Cake" by Oranges & Lemons
I've seen this animu 5 more times than any other series. As a result, I've unwillingly memorized the lyrics and received a dozen concussions trying to beat the melody out of my head.
Baccano! - "Gun's & Roses" by Paradise Lunch
Now this right here is some snazzy jazz. Throw in some artistic flare and keep playing the music during the episode preview and you've got yourself a real cool opener.
Bleach - "*~Asterisk" by Orange Range
A sentimental favorite. I watched the first episode of Bleach by chance during the middle of its' first season. It was different and, in a way, exciting. Sadly, filler and garbage destroyed the series for me later on, but I can always go back to those first 26 episodes, watch this opener, and get pumped.
Cowboy Bebop - "Tank!" by The Seatbelts
Bebop is the greatest animu of all time. Tank is the greatest opener of all time. This is no coincidence.
Cromartie High School - "Jun" by Takuro Yoshid
Doke, doke doke! A bunch o' ballas ballin down da hallway as robots, buildings, UFO's, and everything else imaginable just bounces right off their oh-so-menly chests. I've got a man crush on this opener.
Death Note - "the WORLD" by Nightmare
There really is nothing truly special about this one other than I feel the contrast between L and Light with the implication being their psychological battle is pretty nifty. Song is above average too, so this eeks out a top spot on my list....barely.
Kaiba - "Never" by Seira
Just a super easy going melody. The typical Kaiba art style plays well with the music.
Lupin III - Lupin III
I mean, C'mon, It's Lupin the Third.
Outlaw Star - "Through the Night" by Masahiko Arimatsu
A 90s animu with 80s music with a 21st century attitude. No true animu fan has ever watched this and not sang along with those final three words.
Samurai Champloo - "Battlecry" by Nujabes feat. SHINGO2
This is just has a bad beat. I couldn't help but nod along. Battlecry was a far cry from the animu opener norm and really added to the whole hip-hop flavor of the series.
Serial Experiments Lain - "Duvet" by Boa
Another sentimental favorite, "Duvet" was a song that, for some reason, just appealed to me. I would sometimes watch it twice. It set the mood for Lain almost perfectly each episode and made the series that much more enjoyable.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei - "Hito toshite Jiku ga Bureteiru" by Kenji Ohtsuki feat. Ai Nonaka, Marina Inoue, Yu Kobayashi, Miyuki Sawashiro & Ryoko Shintan
Wow, thats a lot of feats. Are you ready to Bure? Bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure bure. This opener is one of the best in terms of preparing you for the show...in that you can't tell what the hells going on or what anything is supposed to mean.
Well, there they are. Twelve awesome openers. I may have missed some as I did this on a whim and off the top of my head.
