The remaining two "12 Days of Anime"
Anime Relations: Kotoura-san, Tesagure! Bukatsumono
Day 11- Kotoura-San
I had mixed feelings with Kotoura-San. The anime has a misleading 10 minute introduction. It was dark, then most of the series is mostly comedy. We have a girl named Kotoura and she has this power to read people mind. People grew to dislike her because she can’t tell the difference between mind read and someone actually talking. She would blurt out their inner thought and they would get embarrassed. They grew distant to her and call her a monster. Due to her ability, she made her parents get a divorce. Her mother had enough with her and leave her. After the introduction to her sad life, she meant this guy name Manabe. They became friends at the end of the first episode. The main reason they get along is because he is an airhead and weird. Most of the anime is mostly comedy and a bit of dark tone at time. For the light hearted parts, I thought they did an alright job. The interaction are enjoyable, but I feel like they could have done a better job. The dark moments was probably the better part in this anime. Expect for episode 11, it sucks. Even tho, I like the dark tones, I wish they didn’t do it so quick in the series. It felt forced and tries hard to make you feel sorry for Kotoura. You should at least give it a try, but don’t hold high standard to this anime.
Day 12- Tesagure! Bukatsumono
Tesagure! Bukatsumono is an anime short that talks about the tropes of standard anime. What make this anime pretty interesting is that the conversation between the other characters feel natural. The characters feel like real girls. They are pretty diverse. They usually discuss about many topic in their club and talk about many anime tropes. For example, half of the episode they were talking about sport genre and how they always lose at first, but end up winning or how they are always flashy. The anime is aware that it is Meta and does a good job at it. I think the dialogue in this anime is pretty clever and funny. Tesagure! Bukatsumono is CGI. I think the CGI is ok. The look a lot better when they’re up close to the characters face. Though they look iffy when the camera angle is away from them. I wish the fps moves a lot faster. But the CGI isn’t that bad. One thing I really like about the CGI is that they are able to make them more expressive when they are talking. It shows many body movement, which is nice to see. I think you should give this anime a try.

Is Cliche bad?
Anime Relations: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
I don't understand why people use "cliché" as a way to degrade an anime. I dislike it when people use clichés just to prove their point. I know it's not original and get too predictable at times, but I feel like it can be good if it is executed properly. For example Gurren Lagann, it has a ton of cheesy and cliché moments, but it has a good story and it bring a good development for Simon. I think the cheesiness make Gurren Lagann a great anime. I want to know what's other people opinion about it.
