Well, I got really sick and have had to take some time off to recover. So I've finally had some time to catch up on my anime watch list. Goodness, I didn't realize how long it was, both my list and since I've had the time to binge a series. Ok, more like had the time to binge over 20 series since there's not much else I can do reliably at the moment other than knit and watch shows.

I've been on a massive classic series kick this time. 90s and early 2000s anime just has a special place in my heart. Plus it's usually got a slower pace while having an entertaining storyline that works well for knitting and brain fog. And Funimation has a lot to stream on their site. So might as well catch up watching those. Especially since I'm waiting for more stuff to port to Crunchyroll before switching subscriptions.

So far I've watched Outlaw Star, Trigun, Chobits, and am starting a re-watch of Magic Knight Rayearth. I don't usually re-watch stuff, but I cannot abide by my original rating of a 6 from over a decade ago. I vaguely remember the series and remember enjoying watching it. So why on earth the score is so low for me, even when I was a completely different person, is beyond me. This must be re-watched, and I must actually watch the second season this time. Sheesh.

I want to watch more Clamp stuff like xxxHolic and Tsubasa Chronicles off the top of my head. Maybe finally finish the last couple of seasons of the OG Sailor Moon anime and Slayers. Get to watch Akira, Fushigi Yuugi, Witch Hunter Robin, and a few others. It's hard to think of all the names on my higher priority list at the moment due to the brain fog right now. But it's nice to get to enjoy some hand drawn series. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of newer anime I enjoy too. There's just something about the nostalgia with 90s and early 2000s art styles that's comforting. And I definitely could use that right now.

I've sort of hit a dead end with anime recently. Well it's more like a dead end with endless paths leading every which way into a never ending sunset. It's a blinding sight but a pretty one.

In short, I don't know what to watch next. Do I finish watching the series I started over two months ago or do I mozy on over to a new anime with a different yet promising storyline? Do I chose between buckling down and just finishing the series or do I jump around almost mindlessly from new find to new find until I find something I like? The choice is difficult indeed but necessary as well.

For now I'll settle with finishing what I started. I'll feel better about myself that way and will be better prepared to give a well rounded opinion to the next person who asks me what I thought of the anime instead of shrugging my shoulders and mentioning that I dropped it at about the third or fourth episode due to lack of interest. Sometimes the best thing to do is not always the easiest. This is one such time.
