Yeah, that's right. For those of you that know me, this'll probably come as a shock, but I've all but given up on the AAP.
Why, you may ask? Well, it's funny, 'cause I recently commented on someone's profile that I'd try an experiment: watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and let the outcome decide the AAP's fate. If I liked it, the AAP is toast. If not, press onwards.
Well, I watched it (in 2 days, no less), and while it wasn't the masterpiece some claim it to be, I did give it a solid 8/10 rating, which just might go up with a rewatch. Sooooo...sayonara, AAP :D
Silly reason, I know. But for some reason, it fits me to a 'T'.
So what's next? Well, I added a bunch of stuff to the ol' Plan to Watch list earlier, and out of it all, I'm thinking Higurashi sounds good. And I'm still planning on Terra e... for the weekly series after Ghost Hunt.
And I guess that means recommendations are open once more. Except from Chelle :P
...but that's got nothing to do with this blog entry.

With what, you may ask? Why, none other than VERSION 2 of the Alphabetical Anime Project!!
That's right! After months of diligently sticking to my obsessive, twisted and just downright insane AAP, I came to the realization (with the help of some others' comments) that if this project continues as it is, I may never see those quality titles down towards the end of the alphabet.
So, here's the deal. I have an idea of how AAP v.2 is going to be structured, but I need advice on some specifics. Here's the low-down~
Instead of watching in order from the top, I'm going to do one show from each letter of the first half of the alphabet (through M).
Like so:
A - A Little Snow Fairy Sugar
B - Beck
C - Chrno Crusade
D - Dai Mahou Touge
E - Eureka Seven
F - Fancy Lala
G - Genshiken
H - Honey & Clover
I - Ichigo Mashimaro
J - Jigoku Shoujo
K - Kanon
L - Lucky Star
M - Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Get the picture? Now, the things that I am having a hard time determining are:
1) Where to fit in currently airing shows. Do I restrict them to the half of the alphabet I'm on? Or just go with whatever?
2) How many to have on my list at once? I'm thinking that, considering I'll have from 7-10 currently airing shows at any given time, to do 5 alphabetical. So, A through E.
3) When to move on to the next show. I'm thinking as soon as I finish one letter, move on to the next one not being used. For example, if I finish Dai Mahou Touge but haven't finished Eureka Seven or Fancy Lala, I move on to Genshiken.
I think that's all the specifics. If I think of more later, I'll throw them on, but for now, I want to hear from you! Help guide my insanity! Assist in piecing together my obsession! It's a once in a lifetime chance, baby!
