Wow This year from January to may has been amazing for a newcomer towards anime.
This year has a wide range of anime that include from the slice of life sakura quest that executes its script and characters well and also having 20+ep's(rare to see in 2017)

Then we also have rokudenashi-majutsu-koushi-to-akashic-records that is a gritty yet very smart and creative anime that has great humor. It also sports the most kawaii designs of heroine waifus from sistines neko looks to rumia's overall cute design. ReL is debatable to be also waifu material, but its only been around 3Eps. The mysterious and cliff-hangers keep me coming back, the writing and design of scenes and I might even put time into reading the Manga.

Then there is Eromanga Sensei....... Every Lolicon should watch this. Honestly this anime is full of modern harem tropes such as a bunch of waifus of choice, and also the I have shown you my love but yet you see it as something else(Im looking at you Masamune) that should introduce any new anime fan to the whole which waifu is best girl(Elf best girl no debate). Then you get that sweet sweet fan service, and I guess that summaries the anime though the characters are literally carrying the show to victory as it keeps the anime interesting and fun. WARNING anyone who have watched or no imouto should be very familiar with the type of story eromanga sensei.

Then we have AOT season 2, this literally made me a fan of AOT or attack on titan. Very intense exciting and worth a watch. 13 episodes only is pissing me off but I get why it had to be done.

This is only a fraction of whats on currently but I really hope all 4 turn out to be successful anime's.

This blog will be reviewing new and old anime, this blog is just to write my own opinions on anime that I have watched.

The review format for each anime will be followed:
1st impression of the anime
Final review and thoughts about the anime though the final review will be in the review format that is given by MAL.
An example of this can be seen in my impression of Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
This will allow me to spread out my thoughts on each anime. This will make things less complicated and messy.

My first impression of Ore no umm.... I will just call it Eita's adventure with the maidens at high school.
Probably this is one of the average romcoms of 2011 that you can skip. The 1 thing that this anime does well is actually making the characters feel real and not idiotically stupid. These 2 characters are named Eita the male harem of the show and 1 of the heroines Suzumu. Their unique view of the world just creates a new type of feel to the stories and adds a bit of variety. Though I am concerned as to if it sticks towards its main story plot where it talks about love being a waste of time and a lost cause. I honestly loved this as I really loved the main point of this season, but it seems even after ep 6 I feel like it starts to become a normal romcom. Though probably the most comedic/cheesy parts of the anime is when Suzumu tells the maidens about Eita's very weird fantasy notebook, I will give credit to the person who bothered to even write that shit down, it's just so cheesy, but that's what makes it so great.

Well, I guess I was expecting too much from this show. I should maybe rap this anime up and do my review for this anime.

From now on I will do an impression for each anime I watch and then do a review. This will allow me to do more in depth analysis for each anime. This will allow me to not make the mistake I did with my Sakurasou review.

Hello! all who may come by my blog(probably not lots)!

Anywho, This is my first 2 weeks of watching anime and so far I am enjoying anime as a whole genre, though I do prefer romance comedies.

This is the second blog that I have made so far in my life and I am excited about it ! Especially since the blog is about ANIME, well time to write my first reviews and impressions of anime that I have watched.

In my first blog, I will be reviewing the first ever anime I watched and completed.
In Japanese, it is called Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo or in English, it is called The Pet Girl of Sakurasou.
Upon after my hatred towards gaming had become a serious issue with random outbursts of pain, rage, and anger. I decided I needed something else to fill my time schedule in life, at first I was looking for replacement towards video games as it was heavily dominating my lifestyle, there was not 1 day that I wouldn't play video games. It was this realization that I had to do something before video games take over my entire life.

At the time it was hard to search for my first anime that I wanted to watch. I had always feared that if I picked the wrong anime, I would again drop anime for small and insignificant reasons. That's when I decided to get on google and search up good comedy animes. I instantly found an enormous list of anime, it was very overwhelming and I was in complete disarray. Then after a few minutes, I came across an anime called Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. I felt a gigantic magnet pulled me to this show, so I read a couple of reviews and decided to watch Sakurasou.

My first impressions of Sakurasou was this, WTF am I watching? Was this a comedy? Romance by any chance?Hentai???My mind went blank for a couple of seconds before I came back to reality. I had entered the unknown realm that was called anime. It was very confusing, though what I could gather from that episode was a 2nd-year High school student named Sorata lived in a hangout for weirdos called Sakurasou. That was my first thoughts on Sakurasou which was expected as I never understood anime in general.

After watching the 5th episode, I felt somewhat attached to characters I.e Sorata and Jin. They felt very appropriate for the type of story that it introduced. The character that I least expected was none other than Shinna Mashiro, I was trying to think of cliche characters that represented her, but none came to my mind. It was the first time that I felt surprised by any character.

Though after the 5th episode, it felt like any major character development was inexistent other than establishing the friendship between all the characters that had appeared. I told myself that I had to prepare for the worst and anticipate disappointment, but on Ep 8 something actually changes the story. Sorata actually does something which is his video game presentation. In that episode, Sorata works his ass off while constructing his game presentation. Though when he presents, his plan and focus is shattered by a question asked by 1 of the game developer's. The question hits Sorata so hard that it hurts him mentally as he blanks out and doesn't reply. Sorata had attempted to ask this question to Dragon(The Shut in student of Sakurasou) , but decides not to. This destroys his chance of success and he returns to Sakurasou knowing that he tryed his best and still failed.

In a twist of events, Shinna comes by and see's Sorata sitting on the porch crying and holding a charm given by Shinna. Sorata is greeted by Shinna and begins the main focus and moral of the plot. He responds with a simple and weak greeting of 'Im back'. Not only does this show the state in which Sorata is in, but what happens next. Sorata questions Shinna about her Manga serialization, she says's that it's serializing. He congratulates her and tells her to continue drawing. This is when things start to get interesting, Sorata starts to talk to himself in his head. He clearly wants to be alone for the time being as he knows that he'll never be as good as Shinna in terms of skills no matter how hard he tries. But states that he doesn't want to resent Shinna.Though at the end of this scene, the relationship between Shinna and Sorata is destroyed.

This is done in a way where after the next few episodes, every conversation between and Shinna and Sorata was tense and painful. Then comes episode 9-10 where we meet Rita, Shinna's old roommate from England. This is when we find out more about who Shinna is and why Rita tries to drag Shinna back to England. This creates a whole new dynamic between the characters. We also find out that Rita had been hurt by Shinna through paintings, where Shinna always surpassed Rita and the students that learned art in the art school of England. Slowly all the students left the art's school as whenever they grabbed a brush. They'd end up hating their work as Shinna always surpassed them. Rita was always focused on pleasing the others, she never really thought about her needs.

This entire scene happens because the residents of Sakurasou needed someone who could match Shinna's skills in drawing as their deadline for the game creation in the cultural event of Sui mei High. Though after an argument between the characters. We discover that Rita always thought that Shinna never really thought of her as a friend, but it turns out that Shinna felt happy that someone was by her side when she was painting.

The moral of the story is, no matter how hard you try, there will always be someone who is better than you, but you should still persevere even though people tell you to give up. This refers back to Sorata and his failure for his game presentation. Although he tries his best, he still fails and convinces himself to drop being a game dev.Simply put it, even though you fail, you can still redeem yourself by fighting on rather than giving up.Though I should stop here and get to the final scoring of this review as I could end up writing 2000 or more words if I was to analyze every episode of Sakurasou.

Final thoughts of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo. At first, I thought that Sakurasou was this full-on cheesy romance comedy drama, but it turned out to be this very interesting and complicated plot of how people achieve their goals even though they know that there will always be people who are better than them. This also can be seen as a mature and funny romance/friendship story about the growth and development of characters that almost everyone fell in love with from the first few episodes. I would rank this as being a 7.5/10 and probably ranked as my most favorite anime yet, but the reason for it not being 8/10 was due to the ending in the light novels and some of its filler episodes. When I finished the anime and rewatched it twice, I decided to read the light novels, biggest mistake ever...... I was so pumped for season 2, but now, I don't want it to happen. Now Here comes SPOILER ALERT, but in volume 7-10 or season 2 of Sakurasou. The same shit repeats itself, not only that but barely any character development happens. what was even worse was that Sorata had become this total Hentai at the end of volume 9-10.Not only that but Sorata and Shinna actually do it, in a pitiful and idiotic way. I was brought to my knees after that terrible experience and never ever shall I watch the light novels again. 2nd issue filler, oh man after episode 14, it was non-stop filler and repetitive plot lines. Even after Ep 19, it still felt like they were using the same plot lines and issues, I.e Aoyama's auditions, Sorata's game design, the love triangle between Sorata, Shinna and Aoyama, the morals of failing, etc... Man, was I very tired of the filler. Though overall everything else that Sakurasou does is pretty well done and executed. I would say no season 2 after the jaw-dropping ending of the light novels. Though Sakurasou is a at best enjoyable and mature anime, similar to Toradora. Though I don't think it is the best anime I have yet to see.
