When did they announce this! I was so surprised when I read the news on Anime News Network. I was absolutely ecstatic because he is my idol... or something like that. Lets just say he's a really great script writer and director. I must say that I am a Shinkai-tard and am very biased about his work. I love how he portrays the distance between romantic ideals and his characters. Luckily, all his major works have been subbed and dubbed so I am extremely grateful for that, but what I really loved was the second dubbing of 5 Centimeters Per Second.

That is my most favorite movie by him, regardless of how slowly the movie progressed. It was just stunning. More than anything though, I loved how they got Johnny Yong Bosch to voice Tono. His voice is one of the most stunning in English dubbing in my opinion, but then again, that's what you get for being a Power Ranger.

Regardless, Happy Shinkai Day 28 February 2009.

After finishing Shana, I figured I'd just move onto Rie Kugimiya's other anime... okay, I lied; all I wanted to hear was Mamiko Noto's voice on another character, and I indeed enjoy it. I'm not too fond of comedies and magic, but I found this a little enjoying. I think I cried only three times! I think they were when Colbert "died" Saito "died" and when Charlotte cried when captured. Some of the episodes were random, but I don't think I ever fell sleep... too much. With this finish, I wonder why Kugimiya always voices flat characters...

On a side-note, my rankings for the girls:
Charlotte>Tifania>Henrietta>Louise>Siesta>Kirche... does she even count anymore?

I really didn't what this series to end, despite having half the characters look like little kids. I absolutely loved the mix between romance and action and how they related to each other. I think I cried once in all of the episodes; I really didn't expect to, I mean it was for Tanaka too...

Oh well, the thought processes that Yuji underwent were always entertaining and when the action points came into play, I couldn't keep my eyes off the anime and just ran through the whole series. I still have a few questions about this though, and hopefully there will be a "Shakugan no Shana Third". I would definitely want to know what Pheles was hiding, the connection between Hecate and Sydonay, more of Khamsin, and what Lamies' goal was...

Mmmmmmm all in all, I still love the series and found the specials to be hilarious. Hopefully there will be more. <3

On a side-note, my rankings for the girls:
Fumina>Kazumi>Shana

(I had trouble with these rankings, there was a part of me that despises Kazumi for not being that tragic love, but I guess I really didn't want her to be cast away. The ending didn't look so well for her though. I hope she didn't hop on the Ike train as a last-effort plan. I think I'd want to kill Ike even more then. Darn you Hecate, bring back my Fumina. I want my Kotomi-ish character back. T_T)

Anime Relations: To LOVE-Ru
I never thought that this series would end, it certainly dragged on forever; perhaps marathoning it was a bad idea. It certainly was dull at times, especially when they didn't center around Lala or Rito. There were definitely some funny times though. I was kind of disappointed by the ending, but I felt that it would be ending that way; sort of like how the Rosario+Vampire endings. It really didn't want to end in a happy way, or perhaps in a sad way. Oh well, I'm finally glad to be done with this anime. I liked the opening song though, and Lala's voice.

On a side-note, my rankings for the girls:
Lala>>Yui>Haruna>Yami=Ryoko>Saki=Ren
