Anime Relations: Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

The creation of "Grimgar Light Novel Commentary" was solely for the purpose of my fandom. I like to express my opinion about the events that happened in each chapter and share it with other people who also enjoyed reading the light novel series. Also, the creation of this category also serve as a role to point out details that I have seen in the series that maybe most of people did not notice. A very big thanks to all of you that spend your time to read my commentary of the series and I hope you guys liked it.

• Green-colored texts signify interesting points and facts and my opinions about a particular situation.
• Red-colored texts denote important questions that can be discussed.
• Brown-colored texts indicate details that were added or changed or mentioned in the Grimgar anime and manga. We do not have to focus on the details too much since we are focusing on the light novel.

If you want to read my commentary about a particular chapter, then make sure that you have finished reading that chapter. For example, if you only finished reading until Level 2 Chapter 3, then do not read my commentary for Level 2 Chapter 4. Have fun reading!





This chapter marks the start of Haruhiro's group. We see them already in their first struggle as they have to deal with their mindset of being the underdogs and toughen themselves up to gather information about the world of Grimgar and thinking of a plan on how to survive.

In the anime and manga, it was never shown that Haruhiro's group had a major struggle in the beginning of their group forming.

In this chapter, it is worth to mention that Yume complimented Ranta on his curly hair and called him adorable when they discuss on scouting Altana. It might be a great fact to know for those who ship Yume X Ranta.

Also, this is the first chapter where Haruhiro's lazy eyes were pointed out.


Haruhiro went to these places as a scout:

1. Tenbourou Tower, where the Earl of Altana resides.
2. Marketplace.
3. Dory Kebabs.
4. Yorozu's bank.

During the time Haruhiro visited Dory Kebabs, he learned how currency works in Grimgar.

12C means 12 coppers.
1 Silver has a worth of 100 Coppers.
A Copper is a bronze colored coins despite its name.

When Haruhiro tried to buy a 4C kebab with a Silver, the man who managed the kebab stall gave a suggestion to Haruhiro to store his money in Yorozu's bank and change his Silver into Coppers. The bank is located at south of the marketplace.

Haruhiro was considered lucky at this time because he did not get scammed or anything when he was scouting. Also, the man who managed the kebab stall was kind enough to explain about Yorozu's bank to Haruhiro.

The kebab man pointed out that Crimson Moon soldiers were always 'different'. It is unknown as to what kind of difference the man was referring to if not in terms of clothing. What are the Altana public's perspectives on the soldiers, really?

Conclusion

This chapter was short but not the least significant. The chapter explained a more clear detail on the building structures of Altana and its surrounding and this chapter also marks the start of Haruhiro's journey in interacting with the new world that he just recently awoken at.
