Winter Troubles
I love winter. It is my favorite season. I love the snow. I love how it makes the world look so pure and innocent when it really isnt'. I love the coldness the wind and snow brings on my flushed cheeks. I love how indecencies are covered up with decency.
Fall is my second favorite season. Again, because of the cold. But it is also not cold. It is a very relaxing time as the leaves drift through the air. It brings about a feel of unity.
Summer is my third favorite season. It is hot. That I do not like. But it indicates a time of relaxation and freedom. It is also the time of my birth.
Spring is my least favorite season. I love how it is not too hot but it is not cold. But I dislike the chores it brings about to realization. It is also when the insects come out.
But back to winter. As much as I love it so, as a person who only recently got her driver's license last summer, it is like hell. Well, not necessarily like hell, but like a scary, cautious paranoia. Ice is everywhere. Accidents can happen anytime. And even if the city salts the roads, you can never trust it. You still have to be careful. This is a time when you seriously have to trust other drivers to not hit you. And this is a time when you seriously have to let others trust you as well. People can hit you at anytime and your passengers can get hit at anytime. If you were a careless driver or drive without caution or like a maniac or like an asshole, your passenger will just get nervous, anxious, and not trust you, adding to the tension already of other drivers on the icy road. If you were any of the above as well, expect other drivers to want to f***ing kill you. Or least in their mind. Stab, stab, stab.
Anywho. My family has been full of misfortunes. And I'll only tell you about the cars. The other misfortunes are...well, not very speakable. Privacy, privacy. We had 7 cars originally.
One hit a deer. Into the shop.
One slipped on ice and hit a fence. Into the shop.
One overheats after 15 minutes. Trying to get sell.
One got a portion of it scorched due to extreme heat. Unfixable.
Down to three cars. Woot.
Now we have five drivers. Two manuals. And one automatic.
I and the other driver don't get to drive.
For two weeks, I didn't get to drive. Thankfully, it was during winter break. And the one that hit a deer was from a while ago, so it was fixed but earlier than the expected date. Thank God. So now, I get to drive. The other came back from school in NY, but he sometimes borrows a car from his friend. Now we are okay.
But the car that I drive is an old minivan with rear-wheel drive. Not great for a beginner I am assuming.
The misfortunes do not stop here. But I'm sleepy and I must study for a final I have to take tomorrow.

Nodame Cantabile: Paris ~~ Paris et Tokyo
I just finished Nodame Cantabile Paris awhile ago during my procrastination time. I am so glad there is a new season right after I finished watching ND after I decided to do so awhile ago. I remember when I tried to watch the first season a fews years ago, I was scared off by Masumi in episode 3, I think, when they first introduced him. Well, turns out I thought that was episode 1 and watched the wrong one! But I still didn't really want to watch it until I finally did. From the right episode this time, and I loved it.
Anywho, out of boredom, after I watched the 1st episode of the Paris arc, I decided to get the the ending song since I really like it. Well, there aren't any releases of it yet exactly (coughdownloadcough) so I decided to obtain it a different way. I got lazy so it's pretty low quality but you can still hear and understand it. I don't know if anyone wants to download it but its just an offer that anybody can get their hands on.
I mainly did this because I liked it so much that I wanted to listen to it in the car. Until an official version/higher quality is released, I am sticking with this one. Unless there is one and I just didn't see it.

A HUGE Gust of Wind STRIKES!
I don't know if anyone heard or not, but there was a huge gust of wind that hit little ole Columbus. I heard it was the remnants of Hurricane Ike. But that was huge! Geez.
It was just a normal Sunday afternoon. I had just finished my lunch at Panera with my mother, sister, nephew, and brother-in-law. I also just came back from my friend's birthday sleepover in which I stilled up till 4 and got woken up my mother who wanted me to go eat breakfast or lunch or whatever with her and the above. Given the excuse by her that it was my sister's wedding anniversary which I don't remember when it was exactly so I'll just believe her for that. Anyway, so after going home and resting, I play around with the internet for awhile and then I chat with a friend on my phone.
Well, at this point, the lights are flickering and I can hear the wind outside furiously blowing against my house, trees, and any other solid object. Eventually my power goes out and my friend's like "Damn, my power went out." And I'm like "Yeah...me too. ...Oh well." Typical reaction for a normal day, right? Expecting that it'll come back on later. Yeah. So after my wonderful chat on the phone with him, I decide to go downstairs and just hang around. Can't use the internet and all after all. I reach my living room and decide to take a nap.
Well, that nap turns into 2 hours or so but when I woke up, a few feet away from where I was sleeping is a window and the first thing I see is a bunch of leaves. Well, I'm like what the hell? Did we plant some new bushes or whatever and I just never noticed. I look closely and TA-DA! It's a huge ass tree that fell down! This tree is probably about 30-40 feet or so. (This is just a guess but it is pretty tall, taller than my 2-story house anyway) Well, pretty much about maybe 2/3 or 3/4 of it snapped off and it's lying on the ground in my backyard. The funny thing is is that there's still a part of the rest of the tree that's still growing. So technically it's not dead but it looks pretty stupid.
By that point, I'm pretty pissed off because I liked that tree. I sit outside and basically say my farewells while trying to withstand the wind. So I sat out there for about 2-3 hours. There was nothing to do. I was observing how the wind was blowing and everything. I sure did get creative in my thought processes though. For example, it's like a battle between two gods and etc etc. Whatever. Anyway, if anyone wants to do what I did some time sitting outside in the pushy wind, I advise you not to wear a thin t-shirt and shorts. Not a good idea.
That was the beginning. The rest, until last night at about 9:30 PM or so when I got power, was my life in a blackout. I went to bed early which was amazing. I used my cell phone more than ever. I had to drive myself to other people's houses who miraculously and luckily had electricity in order to charge my electronics in order to keep me entertained. It certainly was a revelation as to how much we use electricity and how important it is in our lives.
Does that change how much I use it though? Probably not at all, unfortunately.
Anyway, I benefited from having 4 days off of school straight. Although now I only have one day left of free snow days. Not necessarily good, and it's fun to screw around with teachers and their schedules. Wahahaha
To the people who still don't have power, I hope you get it back soon and rest in peace. Lmao.

WALL-E
I watched this just the other day. It was very interesting.
The storyline is basically like this:
The Earth is trashed up by the ignorant humans and like the lazy-asses we are, they decide to make robots specifically made to clean up the trash and organize their shit while they go on a luxury cruise into outer space. (Wow! If only we had that kind of technology today!) The whole point of the cruise? To wait for the stupid robots to finish their job cleaning while the humans live life in space happily and lazily and get fat. Isn't that wonderful? But alas, all the cleaner robots have malfunctioned for reasons unknown, perhaps the disgusting, poor, and pitiful environment? Oh, except for one robot, who or I guess I should say "that" is the main character of our story. This lonely robot lives on Earth continuing to do his job so honorably and ever so slowly and lives its life with a cockroach. And yes, amazingly this robot has gained human emotions as well!
Then one day a space shuttle comes down from space and a robot arrives that calls itself Eve (although it sounds like Eva). WALL-E tries to get close to Eve out of curiosity and, amusingly, out of love-at-first-sight.
Why Eve has come down to Earth in a highly developed sleek-looking (reminds me of Apple) rocket? Will WALL-E's love for it, er, her bloom? What has happened to the humans and will they come back to Earth?
Stayed tuned and watch the movie!
Well, I must say that this movie surprised me. My first thought was, wow, America is really not that stupid. Thank you Lord! We actually have a movie that has a lot of deep thoughts in it. Although, I doubt I can say the many children who watched this together with I in the theater even understood this movie. But I know how they feel, for ignorance is bliss! Little do the children know that that's how they live their lives. Wahahah! ... Ha...
Anyhow, this movie isn't so philosophical that it's boring as hell. It's deep enough to get you thinking, light enough to get you to not hate it, and funny enough to get you laughing. It's considerate of the future and enjoyable.

Ultimate Frisbee
Have you ever played ultimate frisbee?
Well, I certainly have. And it's a fun game.
No, I'm not here to bash at it.
Well, yesterday, during gym class, we were playing it. Fun, fun, throwing frisbees in the air across the field, looking like morons when we throw it wrong or weirdly. Whoopee.
Anyway, while we were playing, I was about to catch the frisbee. And, you know guys, they always seem to want to intercept (they really get into it).
Don't tell me I'm wrong, because I am right in most of these cases.
So when I'm about to catch it, a guy comes running and tries to intercept and while he's at it, his shoulder hits the right side of my head, or more precise, my cheek.
Dizzy for a few seconds.
Now my cheek's swollen and I think I have a bruise.
Am I mad? No, of course not.
Do I care? No, not really.
Of course, this is the time where I should be acting all girly saying "Oh my God! You messed up my face! Now I'm gonna have a scar! Now I can't marry! Wahhh!" *sobs*
But heck no are you gonna get that type of response from me. Haha.
Let's just see if he feels bad on Monday though. Though he'll probably show no reaction.
