The Idolm@ster
Anime Relations: The iDOLM@STER
This is... beautiful.
My expectations were already high from the graphics, but this anime went above and beyond any of them in both visuals, audio and storytelling. Really, such kind of all_girls cast and one guy usually implies only harem-like action, but there is absolutely nothing of this kind. Nothing of any traits I usually frown upon in 90% of other series - there is no harem, no school, no romance, not even a fanservice of usual scale was noticed, if any at all. Only girls actually doing their best to become idols without slacking off and eating too much cakes. Truly said, perfection is not when there's nothing to add, but when there's nothing to remove. And it isn't even boring, as one might think without all these "features", it's got drama episodes as well as some action. However, personally I was a bit unhappy about these issues they had to go through later in time, but that's how affection to characters works - you don't want them to have slightest problems. I never thought I would encounter this kind of show, where creators actually love and respect their characters and emphasize their best features, released in 2011, when it is become usual to lure audience by less honorable methods. Actually, such methods are clearly pictured as wrong and this is the message of the series (episode 4 and mostly second half of the anime).
This might be the first show since Lucky Star that both made me laugh and shed a tear and that I will be missing after finishing for a long time. In fact, something of this kind I has been subconsciously waiting since the ending of the last episode of L*S, something to continue the performance of Lucky Star girls on stage but on a larger scale and with more dedication. It was especially pleasuring to watch since I, being a JPop fan myself can often relate to what's going on and recognize familiar features like that time with a scenery referencing various Mizuki Nana songs. It's only a pity that I have very subtle knowledge about the franchise behind Idolmaster title and without being able to play any games of it, this is unlikely to change. Oh well, at least I have excellent OST to begin enjoying right now. I wish I had full animations of all the songs they performed throughout the series, like in last episode.

It's official now: Welcome to fail...
...of Minorhythm 2010. Check out covers of 2 upcoming singles here: http://minorhythm.jugem.jp/?eid=2280 and feel that happened what we were afraid the most: Unlucky style of 2010's Calendar becomes usual style of Minorhythm. Need I say more?
Well, it has became obvious since SAL.

A certain Selfish blogger-tan
Somehow people always get what they want, either by themselves, or with someone's help. No sense being selfish.

A crush on the study of seiyuus' visual culture
Today I finally finished sorting my whole seiyuu photo collection, categorizing and deleting duplicated images. This is what I got in the end:
This is more than 7 Gbs of seiyuu photos. Took me about 1.5 years of collecting from different sources: blogs (thank you very much: j1m0ne, danie, moyism, townberry, etc, etc), seiup, seiyuup, photobucket and even DC++hub (this is all about "!Seiyuu" folder, pictures, that were manually gathered from these sources), eMule (about 90% of Seiyuu Magazines folder, the whole directory is shared by me on torrents), and Mediafire + Google Picasa (~70% of all Minorin's photos I have, mostly in photobooks). Note: no magazines/photobooks/other stuff was damaged during the collecting.
Before you ask - currently I am not sure, whether I am going to share those 2.8 Gbs of pics or not, but keep checking my blog - I'll drop a note here if and when I decide what to do.
As a P.S.: take that, the so-called Portraits Rights. There's no way to stop our visual love.

4. Copy the result and paste it back to translation field
5. Change direction to "Japansese -> English", hit Translate.
6. ??????
7. Google sure knows who is the Seiyuu here.
