Eizouken is likely to become a modern classic, Ishizoku Reviewers has ingrained itself into the ecchi canon, ID: Invaded and Oshi ga Budoukan have carved out a place in their genres due to their unabashed insanity. The biggest disappointments were In/Spectre and Runway. The former started out interesting but then turned into something boring, dumb, and contrived in the second half, the latter just turned boring. I'm glad I stuck around with Nekopara, the beginning was rough, but it turned into a nice iyashikei-lite. Pretty good season, overall.

It seems neither the manga-worshippers nor the seasonal-divers were satisfied with the new Blade of the Immortal, but I was. Really great, Tarantino-esque samurai story with some artsy directing. Bookworm was wonderful too, Myne is the best isekai protagonist. Lots of disappointing high-profile stuff this season though: FGO being braindead fanservice, Stars Align being incomplete, Cautious Hero not really being a comedy, Babylon...being written by Mado Nozaki, even the new Hero Aca was worse than it should have been, and Beastars declined after its amazing first few episodes. Assassin's Pride was especially bad, too, earning the prestigious 1/10 for being dangerously cringe. Average Abilities stood out as a better-than-it-has-any-right-to-be reincarnation isekai, really glad I watched it. Overall, not that great of a season.
