ZettaiBlog 473: Friendly neighborhood teacher

Welcome back. Last time I did an Italian character named after food who ISN’T from Jojo. Now it’s time for the Topaz anniversary girl.

That’s because it was FOURTEEN years ago! Before he and I were friends! Before blogs had plots! Before the dinosaurs!

Body
Hair
Sawako has dark brown hair. It’s a good hair color, not the best but beats blonde and pink for sure. Her hair is a good length as well, reaching around her waist. Sadly her bangs are kinda lacking, not entirely but she needs more bangs! Other than that Sawako’s hair is solid.
Score: 8
Eyes
Sawako has brown eyes. By far the best “real” color, goes well with her hair and just looks good. The tsurime shape helps. And of course, as a great girl for Topaz she wears glasses! Though they’re a bit small, they need to cover more of the eye (at least they aren’t grandma glasses). That said, she doesn’t wear them as “Catherine” and has blue eyeshadow, which is neat but inferior to just wearing glasses. Also MAL, being terrible as usual, has 8 pics for her but half are glasses-less. Boo! She needs more specs-tacular pics!

Build
Sawako does well. She has measurements, for one! 165cm tall and 56kg heavy, so a nice balanced figure. She also looks good in general, though she’s clearly the busty girl of the series. Nothing wrong with that, Topaz approves for sure, but for me it hurts her score a little bit. Still, otherwise she does well!

Butt
Sawako doesn’t show ass, but one official pic looks like she’s gonna do it. Cute but useless. Then again if she did it KyoAni would’ve censored it (as they were in their Ned Flanders era) so boo KyoAni, the most overrated studio of all time.

Clothes
Sawako does well. Her usual clothes are fine, but her best outfit is from the above mentioned official pic: a maid dress. She needs to cosplay more!

Personality
Sawako is cool. She used to advise for the wind instrument club, but Ritsu gets her to be the advisor for the light music club the show is about. She’s a good advisor, helping the girls and even giving them their group name! But she also loves putting them in cosplay… Not much to say for plot as this is a simple series, but overall she does a good job.
Now for personality. Sawako is a friendly and gentle teacher, even being called “Sawa-chan-sensei” by Yui. However, this is to hide her dark past of being in a heavy metal band as “Catherine”. She also likes messing around with her students with cosplays and such as said. All in all Sawako is a fun character, and she needs more love!

Reception
Sawako is mixed bag. She’s from a very popular series, but doesn’t have as many fans or art as the main cast. Still better than obscure girls though. Her good screentime helps. Now adapt the Azusa third year!

Sawako doesn’t show much of this, but not in a bad way. She likes putting the girls in cosplay and that helps. We also know she confessed to a guy in high school. Otherwise she needs more of this,

Sawako is an adult. Her birthday is the 31st of January, 1984. The show is set in 2006-8 so we can extrapolate she is 22-24 during the show (And 25 in the manga extra chapters). A great age for blogs.
