Happy holidays, everyone!
I wanted to start semi-documenting updates to the website, so, at least this time, I'm making a blog post about it. You can also find information about all the updates on the website itself under about.
Generator Form Re-Factor
This update focused sorely on the generator form. Though the look only changed slightly, there was quite a bit more work put into it than appears. I've created components for each of the form elements, which doesn't mean much for you, the user, but makes re-using them super easy for me, the coder. With that, there were some changes to the form elements themselves:
Range slider - where there used to be two select dropdowns to pick a range, there is now a range slider powered by the noUiSlider library. I think this cleans up the UI considerably and makes selecting ranges fun and simple.
Multi-select dropdowns - The included and excluded genres used to be the only dropdown, but I've changed over the tv rating and the new watch links options to also be dropdowns. This is a newly created component, with no images, that I think works really well.
Watch Links - You can now filter by watch links! Yay! Keep in mind though, the links are only as up to date as I am, so if you find something that isn't available anymore, be sure to report it.
There's also a lot of minor cleanup I did, but nothing really worth calling out.
Apparently I have to relate this to at least 1 anime, so I'm rewatching Cowboy Bebop after watching the live action. Sorry peeps, I liked the live action...I thought it was well done.
