Romance is for me one of the best genres out there and since I watch a lot of romance anime I came across an idea. Since everyone has different taste I would like you to show me/recommend your top 5 romance anime. Feel free to explain what exactly you liked about them. I used my top 5 as an entry.

+1 to NANA. It can be a little melodramatic, but for the most part it does its romance and drama pretty well. Now if only the author would get back to writing the Manga...

White Album 2: My personal favorite. All of the characters have flaws, which is what makes the emotions and drama in this anime so realistic. I'm also pretty biased towards it because I associate myself with one of the characters.

Kuzu no Honkai: Has the same director of White Album 2, so you will find the similarities in direction between them. Its English title "Scum's Wish" basically summarizes what the anime is about. It isn't a traditional romance as it is more about understanding love rather than finding it. It's pretty intriguing. Of course due to the nature of the anime, Kuzu no Honkai has a lot of mixed reception. But I personally like it because of how different it is from the usual romance anime.

SukaSuka: This one can be a little hard to recommend as the romance develops very slowly. However, what I liked about this anime is the quiet but ever-present tension that builds from episode to episode. This "silent tension" is very rare in anime, and it is what made SukaSuka an anime where I wanted to keep watching. To fully enjoy this anime, you must put yourself in the characters' shoes to understand what they are feeling.

Clannad: Mou Hitotsu no Sekai Tomoyo-hen: Clannad and its sequel (Clannad: After Story) is perhaps one of the most iconic anime for being able to evoke the emotions out of its viewers. Unfortunately, it failed to evoke those emotions to me, so I found it a decent anime at best. Many others will say otherwise, and given that you like anime like Orange and Your Lie in April, chances are that you are going to enjoy Clannad as well. However, there is one part of Clannad that really got to me, and that is Tomoyo-hen which is an alternate story to Clannad. You could watch it as a standalone title, but it would be better for you to watch Clannad first. It may be a single 25-minute episode, but I preferred watching this over the entire Clannad series.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime: I'm rather old-fashioned when it comes to romance and I adore the long courting process between the main characters.

NANA (anime and manga): I feel like it was perfectly imperfect. The two girls aren't exactly guaranteed a happy ending in any of their relationships.

Kimi no Todoke: It followed common tropes, yet it was still refreshing and entertaining

Masamune-kun no Revenge (manga and anime): I like how the two main characters don't exactly have desired characteristics, and the dramatic irony is hilarious.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: The anime has this egocentric, heat-of-the-moment tone which I feel perfectly describes a teenage love.
