*We join Kimiko and Rika who are sitting casually on the couch.*
: Welcome back everyone! I'm sure that you don't remember us.
: Of course they do. They just saw us last month!
: Er, I'm not talking about us as characters. I mean us as far as we're the ones that are introducing the guest blogs!
: Oh yeah. It's been so long that I've forgotten that's a job that we have to do. So who do we have this time?
: Like the good friend that he is Zettai wrote a blog for Empry!
: Ooh, ooh! Let me introduce Oniisama's blog girl!
: Go right ahead.
: Well, let's see here. Oh, this is certainly a surprise. Seems Oniisama is doing a girl named "Miyuki Takara".
: That lovely meganekko that's one of Empry and my favorites? Let's take a look right now!
*Rika pops in a tape that was in the envelope and the video plays.*
WARNING: BECAUSE OF REASONS I MUST TELL EVERYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 TO GET OUT OF MY BLOG! OBEY OR I’LL BE DEFENESTRATED! ALSO BE WARY OF WILD ROAMING SPOILERS! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!
Welcome back. This time I’m doing a guest blog and not covering a plot blog. Hence this section is just dumb padding.
: It’s always dumb padding.
: And your plot barely qualifies as one anyway.
Thanks...
: Either way let’s get to business since making Riri’s big friend wait seems rude.
Good plan. Especially since he’ll like the girl being covered!
: THANKS FOR THE MEAL! *leaps at Miyuki just like that*
: Eeeeh? AAAAAAAH! *gets her soma milked out*
: That was excellent!
Was that over? *looking at his phone on the meanwhile*
: Ugh... Yes...
Good!
: What was this all about?
Topaz deserves some pandering in his guest blogs!
: I share the feeling, but next time ask for permission.
Thanks for understanding. Now mind if I write the blog?
: I would feel most honored.
All settled then!
: Why did he ask for permission?
: Because Riri’s big friend does that.
Body
Hair
Miyuki has pink hair. I like pink hair and her shade in particular looks gorgeous. The length is fairly solid too, even if not as extreme Konata’s hair gets obviously. She also has the occasional alternate hairstyle which never hurts. The only issue are her generic bangs, but other than that she looks really nice.
Score: 8
Eyes
Miyuki has purple eyes. I love purple eyes and especially with pink hair since for some reason that combination looks amazing. Sadly she has tareme but since it fits her personality then we can let that slide just fine. She also wears glasses, but being thin ones they aren’t too much of a big deal. That said it’s pretty nice she gets praised in-universe for wearing glasses, this should happen more often instead from the awful “ditch wearing glasses” crap some shows pull.
Score: 9
: Boo contact lenses!
Agreed with that! Girls need proper glasses! Like these! *gives Miyuki thick black glasses*
: Thanks! *tries the glasses on with smiles* Well?
Looks great!
: Thanks for that!
Build
Miyuki has some issues. First she stands 166cm tall and is thus the tallest from the main girls, which is kinda meh but not terrible. The main problem is her big breasts. While no exact data exists sadly these are the biggest from the cast, even surpassing the sexy adult Nanako albeit barely, and she gets praised for them too sometimes including being told she has a great body and such. While for all obvious reasons this doesn’t help much, luckily it’s never too obnoxious or in your face thus the score ends okay. Honestly she wouldn’t look too bad if KyoAni didn’t have this terrible track record regarding breasts, since from Mikuru’s constant horrible focus to Lucoa’s very existence they have been an awful studio for over a frigging decade! But I’m not going to be unfair and score too low since that would be just plain mean. Besides when drawn well she has nice legs and such, not everything is bad thankfully. She also has O blood type and left-handed case curious.
Score: 7
Butt
Miyuki shows ass rarely. Not as much one would want, but at least it’s definitely happened.
Score: 5
Clothes
Miyuki does well here. She defaults to the school uniform and being a generic sailor one that ends poorly, but luckily she wears PANTYHOSE for some support. Luckily she has other costumes albeit not many in-series aside from her bikini and her yukata and all the typical ones but still nice. Official art adds even more though, with stuff like miko and school swimsuit helping. Helps unlike other busty girls she rarely has cleavage and chest focus, though it does happen occasionally.
Score: 8
: I have cleavage in this sweater though. What I don’t have are pockets. Guess where I carry my phone and keys.
Duh.
: I knew there was something funny there.
: I’m more curious if her chest would vibrate if someone sent mail.
: It definitely would.
Mind
Personality
Miyuki was cute. She goes to high school with her friends and basically just has a normal girl’s life without too many worries. She eventually graduates and due to her hometown has issues keeping with the rest of the gang, but she still manages thankfully.
Now for personality. Miyuki wasn’t exactly my favorite girl but it’s hard to deny she was adorable. She’s very smart and polite, cares about others, and is good with sports too. However despite this still has some issues. For example she fears doctors and especially dentists, even though she wants to become a doctor herself for some reason, and has some clumsy moments for moe. The smart bit matters since she was nicknamed Miwiki from fans and the anime canonized this. She likes chawanmushi and traditional sweets, plus studying and getting smarter. She dislikes raw fish and again doctors like said before. Her favorite color is orange and has no particularly favored or hated subjects. She doesn’t go to any club but was the class rep all three years. The ratings show again huge prowess with both brain and brawns plus house chores, but she has little otaku-ness and only plays videogames occasionally and as a group activity. Also big breasts. Overall Miyuki was cute but honestly ended liking most other girls better, not because Miyuki was bad but because they pandered to my tastes better. Still a great girl that needs more love.
Score: 7
Reception
Miyuki is complicated here. First off she’s part from the main quartet and thus really popular, the least from them but still crushes the rest of the cast easily. However she ends with a bigger issue here because once the anime moves into the second half she starts losing screentime, something Hayate no Gotoku mocked even though people in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks. Being fair this may come simply from introducing many new girls and Miyuki having less gags and such due to her serious nature, but it’s unfortunate for her fans nevertheless. Still the awkward combination between preference and mistreatment gives her a decent albeit nothing special score.
Score: 6.5
: Sorry for lacking presence.
Nothing like that. The issues are more I wish other great girls like Minami and Nanako got more love. Sucks when there’s quite the divide between the mains and everyone else.
: Sorry for hogging fanart.
Nothing like that. Again you deserve that for lacking spotlight later.
: Sorry for lacking presence.
How did I end into this endless time recursion?
: Wrong series.
Libido
Miyuki has issues with this. Nothing too severe, just she doesn’t get shipping with anybody. There’s maybe Minami but she has a more obvious pairing, plus these two together would feel like throwing together the bustiest and flattest girl together for comedy and that’s not cool. Shame about that.
Score: 5
Age
Miyuki does well here. She begins the series in the first year of high school and graduates by the end, with the manga covering her college years too. Her birthday is the 25th of October thus very late happy birthday once this gets posted.
Score: 9
Voice
Aya Endou has a very nice voice. Keigo doesn’t hurt either. Since she also does Sheryl Nome the two are sometimes paired together in fanarts and the like.
Score: 8
Total: 72.5 - Excellent
: Konata got 11 points more...
Because somehow I prefer flat naughty girls over clumsy busty ones. Big deal though, what matters is that Topaz loves you very much.
: He did give me 17.5 points more after all. Maybe slightly less because the rule of three matters. But you understand this.
Exactly. Now let’s just hope he liked the blog.
: I will also do that thing you asked for offscreen. The one about offering him three pies.
I said “paizuri” and not three pies!
: Then he’ll get that “paizuri” for sure. Now I’ll get going and do just that. *leaves*
: This blog sucked.
: Guest blogs doesn’t mean good blogs.
: Fair point.
: Hmmm, not what I was expecting!
: That's no fair, I want three pies too!
: Didn't you get enough from Rider living up to her namesake?
: Er-t-that doesn't count. Now, who do we have next?
: Don't try to cover your perversion by quickly moving to the next area. My Oniisama deserves retribution!
: He did work hard doing that blog and the normal ones too. It was still greatly appreciated, so let's give him a little something.
==Meanwhile, in Spain==
Zettai: W-what are you two doing here?!
: We're always here, remember?
: Bakayarou.
Zettai: Not you two, I mean these two beautiful Gundam mothers!
*Zettai points to the two mothers with skintight pants that show off their mature asses plenty.*
: We were told to come here as thanks for giving Topaz service during the guest blog.
Zettai: Of course, Miyuki is his type of girl. Definitely more than mine.
: And as thanks for that we'll comfort you using our gigantic mature asses.
Zettai: Being selfless is amazing!
: Certainly. Now let's come into the Mobile Trace System. With both of us together.
: That way you'll become stuck between our massive smelly asses until we say otherwise.
Zettai: Sounds like heaven!
*Rain takes Zettai's hand and pulls him into the Mobile Trace System. Rinko and her then press him between their huge motherly asses and turn on the machine. As usual the tight bodysuit-maker binds the two asses together with Zettai between them, trapping him inside the assy heaven.*
Zettai: MMPH! SMELLS INCREDIBLE!
: I'm so glad that you can join us then! AH! Your squirming inside our trace suits feels so good!
: Not to mention the tightness of the bodysuit against my stomach. AH! I can't endure much longer! I'm going to rip one!
*Both Rinko and Rain let out huge farts. Fortunately their odors are contained within their suits, forcing Zettai to sniff them all up. He wriggles and squirms more, bouncing their meaty mature asses.*
: AH! Your squirming is pleasing my ass so much, Zettai!
: That's right! We'll keep you inside all day and subject you to hours of gassy assy play!
Zettai: THIS FEELS SO INCREDIBLE!
*Zettai continues to squirm between the two asses for hours, as said. However, it's time to return back to the duo of hosts.*
: And that's our racing girl Ririchiyo making her way through the other blog!
: Wait, race girl? Since when was Riri running?
: Don't you know, Topaz? These variety shows always have a girl running through a race as it goes on.
: I do seem to recall Aikatsu and Idolmaster having that, so I have no reason to deny that. But anyway, how about we look at our next clip?
: I suppose that should be fine. Did Oniisama write another one?
: Actually this is from Spartan.
: WHAT? Wait, I don't understand. Topaz has OTHER FRIENDS?
: As odd as it seems, that he does. Anyway, let's look at what Spartan thinks of Kaga!
*Kimiko takes out Zettai's tape and puts in Spartan's.*
Episode 1: Tsun-Kuudere Carrier
*Camera pans over to a typical image of the seaside, save for the fact that there is a giant floating bulls-eye off shore for reasons that will soon become apparent.*
Welcome to the first episode of SPARTAN 119’s “Totally Not A Rip-Off of Topaz and Zettai” Anime Character Blog. Today I am going to be joined by a kuudere archer with the spirit of Second World War aircraft carrier. She should be here any minute…. in fact, here she is right now:
: *skims over the surface of the water as though waterskiing and fires an arrow into the sky, appearing to fly far above the target she was aiming at, only for the arrow to suddenly summon a squadron of Aichi D3A dive bombers, all of which bomb the target, scoring a direct hit and throwing up a huge splash of water that briefly makes it appear to be raining. As the effect of the explosion ripples out, she makes a landing onto shore.*
Hello, Kaga. That’s quite a way to make an entrance.
: Hello, I am the aircraft carrier Kaga. Is this a blog? I have fairly high expectations of it.
This is indeed a blog, and I will try my best to meet your high expectations. Now that the introductions are out of the way, lets make it official that the star of this blog is:
: Wait a second, I think I knew you before. Remember, Battlestations: Pacific?, back in 2009?
Ah yes, I first got to know you as a ship. Nice seeing you again, Kaga.
At any rate, before we get started, I would like to point out that, because of the extensive fan culture associated with Kantai Collection, some of my rating will take into account fan culture, memes etc in some of my ratings.
So long ago people only knew you as a ship back then. In any case, starting off:
Hair: Kaga has brown hair. The KanColle wiki describes her as having long hair, I’d say it would be a bit longer than shoulder length if she let it down, definitely not as long as Akagi’s. That being said, in the anime, Kaga’s hair appears to be a bit longer when let down, but still not as long as Akagi’s In either case, she usually wears it in a sideways-facing ponytail. While I am generally more partial to longer hair, Kaga’s hair fits well with her character design and serious, stoic personality.
Score: 6/10
Eyes: Kaga’s eyes are a sort of yellow or very light brown. Now I’m not as much of a snob with regard to anime eye color as some other bloggers, but overall, her eyes compliment the color of her hair and outfit, even if they aren’t the most memorable feature of her body.
Score: 7/10
Build: To the best of my knowledge, Kaga has no official measurements, unless you count:
Length: 247 meters
Beam: 32.5 meters
Draft: 9.48 meters
Displacement: 38,200 long tons
But somehow, I get the feeling the measurements of the shipgirl are a bit different from the ship. Kaga uses a Japanese longbow, or yumi, which typically have a length of about two meters. Now, depending on the image, Kaga’s height appears to be about between 1.6 to 1.7 meters, or between 5”3 and 5”6. Based on how she looks in the official art, I tend to lean towards the 1.7 meters side, as she appears to be relatively tall. Overall, in the official art, Kaga tends to have a tall, slender build. Now, I said I was going to take the KanColle community into account see how fan-related works have a major impact on trends in the perception of a character. For Kaga, this can be a bit of a double-edged sword- they often give Kaga somewhat thicker thighs and a larger ass (discussed below), which is very nice, but in the other hand, they also tend to needlessly inflate her breasts. Now, I am not the anti-oppai crusader that Zettai is, but I find that once it gets much more than a handful it starts getting excessive. They are a nice size in the official art, but in much of the fanart, it is just ridiculous. On another note, Kaga is often depicted as having a high body temperature and being warm to the touch. This is a reference to the her historical warship counterpart, which had issues with the the exhaust system and an awkward layout- product of her being a converted battleship- leading to overheating in the hangars and rear crew compartments.
Score: 7/10
: Not to mention, if my breasts were as big as they are in some of the fanart, it would interfere with my archery.
DAT STERN!: While Kaga doesn’t show her ass much, if at all in the game or official art, the fanbase have decided that she has a thick, fat, round, plump, squeezable, spankable, gropeable, tappable ass, which is amazing. The fanbase seems to have decided that the carriers of KanColle have huge “sterns”, though none of them get as much ass art as Kaga, albeit in part because she is the most popular and gets the most art overall. As stated above, the shipgirl Kaga is shown as having a high body temperature because of real-world issues with heating in the carrier Kaga that overheated the rear quarters of the ship. I suppose based on this, it makes sense that she has quite the hot ass!
Score: 8/10
: I see you’re the type whose “torpedo” is drawn towards my stern…
What can I say, it’s a temping target.
: I know, but what can be done about it? A carrier needs wide stern for landing on, after all.
Age: Kaga’s official birthday is November 17th, the day the carrier Kaga was launched in 1921. This would make her 96 years old and remarkably well-preserved for such as an age, easily placing her into “teenhag” territory. While techinically you could consider the shipgirl a separate entity, KanColle officially describes the shipgirls and having the “spirit” their warship counterparts, so it still counts.
9/10
: *bends over and flips up her skirt, revealing she is not wearing any panties* It’s blog standard that this contains some form of fanservice, and since it was my birthday not to long ago, and you really like my ass, so why don’t you give me a birthday spanking!
Excellent idea! *spanks Kaga’s huge ass, making it ripple with each swat*
: mmm… ahhh… One… Two… Three… *counts off each swat, clearly enjoy it*
A couple minutes later:
: Mmmmm… 94… ahhh… 95…. mmmm… 96…
*After the spanking, Kaga’s ass has a reddish tinge to it*
: Mmmmm… that got me excited… would you like to join me for a “night battle” after the blog.
Gladly!
: Glad to hear that, but for now, lets get back onto the blog.
Clothing: Kaga normally wears a modified traditional Japanese outfit, with a white kimono and a blue obi, with a blue “hakama skirt”- a shortened version of the traditional Japanese lower garmet or “hakama. This shortened design allows Kaga to wear black thighighs and display her zettai ryouiki (not referring to the MAL user this time). She is also seen wearing a muneate, or a Japanese chest piece worn by women when practicing archery to avoid the bow string slapping their breasts. She also wears an apron similar to the back of a carrier flight deck. In combat, in addition to her bow, she has a flight deck-shaped shield and a quiver with a replica of her ship-counterparts mast. Kaga wears a pair of traditional Japanese sandals, or geta, which resemble the hull of her ship counterpart.
The fanbase has also created an alternate version, called Kaga: 1944, an alternate reality Kaga that survived the Battle of Midway to be repainted with late-war Japanese camouflage. This version of Kaga has a green hakama and a dark blue top.
Kaga is also sometimes as drawn as representing the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter carrier Kaga. This version of Kaga has a modern compound bow instead of the traditional yumi and a shield in the shape of the JSDF Kaga’s flight deck. The JSDF Kaga will sometimes be drawn similarly to the canon Kaga, but sometimes will be drawn wearing a JMSDF uniform instead. Sometimes, JMSDF Kaga is depicted as a separate entity, typically the little sister or daughter of canon Kaga.
During the advertising campaign for the KanColle Movie partnered with the convenience store Lawson, images of Kaga wearing a Lawson employee uniform were released, resulting in a fair amount of fanart.
Overall, Kaga may not have as many outfits as some other characters, but those that she has fit her personality and character design very well, and plenty of fanbase attention and some product tie-ins have expanded her wardrobe a bit.
Score: 7/10
Personality: Kaga is often depicted in the game as being quiet, serious, and emotionless, but also having a strong rivalry with Zuikaku, which, at least in the anime, can cause her to seem bitchy and impolite around Zuikaku. Kaga’s rivalry, or the 5th Carrier Division (Shokaku and Zuikaku) is based on a real-world rivalry between the First Carrier Division (Kaga and Akagi) and the Fifth Carrier Division.
In spite of this, it is shown in the anime that she nonetheless is close to Akagi, and in the game, she may also develop a close relationship with the Admiral. When she is with those she is close to, a softer, more caring side to her personality shows through.
Akagi is not technically her sister ship, as Kaga was a stand-alone carrier conversion in real life, however, the real-life Kaga and Akagi did both serve in Carrier Division 1 in World War II until both ships were sunk at the Battle of Midway. In any case, Kaga’s relationship with Akagi is often being depicted by the fanbase as either a “sister-like” relationship, or sometimes as a yuri pairing. While she is initially cold to most others and downright antagonistic to Zuikaku, in the anime, Kaga eventually comes to appreciate and respect Zuikaku and rest of her fleet after serving with them, revealing that she does, in fact, respect and care deeply for them.
In summary, Kaga can be considered something of a “tsun-kuudere”, with her tsundere side being most prominently directed towards Zuikaku, while with others she is distant, emotionless, often seeming cold.
: Personally, I always thought I was more of a kuu-tsundere.
That works too. At any rate:
The fanbase sometimes depicts Kaga as less guarded with her emotions around Akagi, sometimes revealing her to take on a more laid-back personality almost similar to Akagi’s. Similarly to Akagi, Kaga is sometimes depicted as big eater by the fanbase, albeit not to the memetic degree of Akagi, as she actually consumes more resources than Akagi- the memetic bauxite consumption of Akagi is the result of a glitch in early builds of the game that has since been fixed.
Score: 6/10
: Speaking of which, I’m feeling kind of hungry.
Anything in particular you’d like?
: You wouldn’t happen to have any bauxite, would you?
Sorry, but no.
: *eyes the recycling bin, presently full of aluminum cans* Wait a second… That’s already-processed aluminum… Even better! You don’t need those, do you?
Not at all.
: Itadakimasu! OM NOM NOM NOM *Kaga literally starts devouring every can in the recycling bin*
An aircraft carrier in the body of girl eating aluminum cans. Now I have seen everything.
Libido: As stated above, Kaga is a sort of “tsun-kuudere” (or a “kuu-tsundere”) type of character archetypes, and this has a quiet stoic personality, and, as stated above, does not express emotions easily. For this reason, her libido initially seems non-existent. In spite of this, if the player chooses to marry her in the game, she states that she is genuinely happy, even though she admits she has difficulty expressing such emotion. In addition to the Admiral, Kaga is also often paired with Akagi by fans, with Zuikaku being the second most common yuri-pairing, in spite of (or perhaps because of) her rivalrly with Kaga.
Of course, in the fanart community, Kaga’s libido is “enhanced” considerably, by which I mean there is a large amount of hentai of her on pixiv, but that is really the same as there is everywhere. As I have said above, the most notable result of that really is more pertinent to the ass category.
Score: 5/10
: I suspect you’ll rate me higher after tonight’s “night battle”. I might just bring Akagi along as well and show you the true power of Carrier Division One!
She’s more than welcome!
: *walks up behind me and whispers seductively into my ear* Well then, I’ll see you tonight.
Looking forward to it!
: I like your enthusiasm. I hope you’ll be just as enthusiastic about blogging me some time!
Definitely!
: Ahem…
Reception: Kaga is one of the most popular characters in Kantai Collection, usually ranking in the top ten characters in various fan polls. She also has the most fanart on Pixiv, with over 9000 images, and that’s based on an article from a year ago!
: What, 9000!?
I just walked into that one, didn’t I?
: Yeah.
: Seriously though, I didn’t know you were that popular. Congratulations!
: I’m just glad I beat out those amateurs at the Fifth Carrier Division!
In any case, Kaga scoring highly among the KanColle fanbase can be considered even more impressive given the number of characters, including a number of other popular shipgirls including Shimakaze, Kongou, and Takao.
Score: 10/10
Voice: Kaga usually speaks in a quiet monotone with little emotion. She is voiced in both the anime and the game by Yuka Iguchi, who also voices several of the supporting characters in the anime. Overall, Iguchi performs her role well, even if her performance of Kaga isn’t quite up there with some of my favorite kuudere voice performances, such as Chiwa Saito as Homura Akemi and Minori Chihara as Yuki Nagato, then again, that may in part be bias towards those characters.
Score: 7/10
Total Score: 72 (Very Good)
Scoring loosely based on MAL rating system as well as Topaz and Zettai’s blogs:
Under 20- Worse than Tawawa (I hope that isn’t possible…)
20-30- Tawawa-level bad
30-40: Bad
40-50: Poor
50-60: Fair
60-70: Good
70-80: Very Good
80-90: Excellent
90-100: Ideal
: Not bad, but you better not score Zuikaku higher than me!
: Oh, I don’t think there’s much chance of that, especially after tonight’s “night battle”.
I look forward to it!
: Well then, see you tonight.
: And don’t forget to blog me sometime!
Will do, but for the next episode, we have a girl who, in spite of her name, is no relation to a certain battleship.
: Looks like he has a good idea of how to write blogs as well, even if he doesn't have any of his own.
: Yet, because Topaz is a bad influence to people.
: No I'm not!
: I don't mean you "Topaz", I mean the guy Topaz. Anyway, should we close it up for this year? I doubt that we have many more...
: Actually Spartan sent us another video as well.
*Topaz pulls another video tape out of the envelope.*
: Sounds like he's trying to show up Zettai. I wonder if Oniisama considers this a challenge.
: I sure hope not. Cute anime girls should be enjoyed freely, not subjected to being the basis of a competition.
: Isn't that exactly what giving girls points can be considered?
: That's different and opinion-based. Anyway, let's see who the last girl is-AH! Another of Empry's favorites in Yuki Nagato.
: Nagato? Like the boat?
: He specifically says that it's not the boat. Anyway, how about we put in his video this time?
: I'll do it.
*Rika takes the tape out and puts this one in. After a small amount of static and Rika smacking the television the video starts playing.*
Episode 2: Not the Battleship
*scene opens to a room with a girl in classes seated in the corner reading a book*
Moving to welcome the next character, an incredibly cute kuudere alien artificial intelligence.
: *continue reading for several second before finally looking up for the book*
: …………. Greeting acknowledged, confirming imminent occurence of “blog” event. Hello, SPARTAN 119, I am….
: I am a humanoid interface and artificial intelligence constructed by the Integrated Data Thought Entity. I was sent to this location to investigate the apparent propagation of events known as “blogs”.
In that case, I would be happy to blog you if you are interested.
: Offer accepted, commencing data acquisition on “blog” event.
Hair: Yuki has light purple hair with a sort of grayish shade to it. Her hair is shorter than most of my other favorite female character, not even reaching down to her shoulders. That being said, I don’t dislike Yuki’s short hair as, along with its color and simple style, it fit with her kuudere character.
Score: 8/10
Eyes: Nagato has light brown eyes, though some fan artists depict them as slightly yellowish or greenish as well. My favorite thing about Nagato’s eyes are her glasses, which sadly she got rid of after her fight with Ryoko because Kyon apparently doesn’t know good stuff when he sees it. Thankfully, meganekko Yuki makes a return in the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie, where she finally reaches the full pinnacle of cuteness. Personally, Disappearance movie is my favorite of the megane Yuki version, as I prefer her art style to the spin-off, The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan (though she is cute in her own right). While perhaps I should take a few points off for her losing her glasses, the moé of Disappearance Yuki is just too strong!
Score: 10/10
: I reconstructed the glasses after, based on my analysis of the content of other known blogs, as well as your own preferences, that there was a 99.87452% chance that you would find this appearance appealing.
Your calculations are perfect as usual!
: After that compliment, I feel slightly embarassed, yet, I am also pleased…. Interesting.
Build: Yuki has a petite body, another factor that makes her incredibly cute, with a height of 154 centimeters, or a bit over five feet. I am not aware of her having any other measurements, but her she is very flat-chested, so practically certainly an A-cup, and her hips may be a wider than her chest, albeit only slightly, although it seems to depend on which official art or image of her you are looking at.
Also of note with regard to her body, it is stated to be artificial, but indistinguishable from a human and possibly made from human cells. Nagato is capable of reconstructing her body even after serious physical injury, as seen with her fight with Ryoko. I wonder if she could use it to make certain parts (i.e. the next section) even more appealing XD!
9/10
: I am willing to demonstrate the applications in that regard after the next section.
Awesome!
Butt: Yuki’s ass is featured in some of the official art. The best example show her in a sukumizu, though sadly with her ass partially off screen. It has a nice round shape, but it could stand to be a bit bigger.
Score: 5/10
Of course, with Yuki’s reality manipulation abilities…
: I performed some enhancements to my default body in order to make it more appealing. While my calculations determined there is an over 99% chance you would find these changes attractive, I would appreciate your input. *blushes* W…would you P…please… come into the other room and examine and evaluate my improvements….
But of course! *follows her into the other room*
(Warning, if you decide to listen in on the other room, beware of lewdness that scratches the edges of what is considered decent for a blog, not to mention some OOCness on Yuki’s part)
Note: As there are only five categories, I will be giving each section 20 points.
Shape: Nagato has really upgraded her ass here, making it even better than initial predictions (i.e. fanart) suggested it could be upgraded to. Both of her cheeks have that perfect round shape that is simply irresistable. I just want to touch it….
Score: 20/20
: Please *blushes deeper*… touch it a much as you want…
: *moans softly, clearly enjoying the sensation.
Softness: Her skin is perfectly smooth and an absolute delight to touch. Her soft, plump cheeks are very squeezeable.
Score: 20/20
*A loud smacking sound can be heard through the door*
: AAAAHHH…. MMMMMM…. strange… this… even more excited than previously anticipated
*The repeated louder smacks can be easily heard through the door*
: HAAAAAHHH… MMMM…. AHHH…. *moans loudly* MMMMM… feels so good… If you keep doing that I’ll….
Bounciness: Nagato’s upgraded ass bounces quite nicely when smacks, having that perfect combination of softness and firmness to make it both squeezable and spankable, just perfect for all sorts of assy fun.
Score: 20/20
Sensitivity (External): Nagato’s improved ass is perfect in this regard as well, as she clearly enjoys having it squeezed and smacked, just like a certain other Yuki. What’s more for a man like me (or Zettai, for that matter XD) to ask for.
Score: 20/20
: Now, you can evaluate the “internal”…. characteristics if you catch my meaning…
Gladly
: These emotions I’m feeling are strange…. I’m embarassed, and yet, also very excited….
*For about ten minutes, various moans and other very lewd noises are heard coming from the other room*
: *after finally coming back* That was… far more enjoyable than I calculated… I never knew such activites could be so… pleasurable… I would like to continue experimenting with this at another time.
“Internal” (If you catch my meaning):
Score: I cannot really go into details without it becoming too lewd. This is already going very close to the line. Lets just say 20 out of 20.
Overall Score: Nagato’s upgraded ass deserves nothing less than 100/100. Now I have even more of a perverted attraction to her.
That being said, you do realized that score is separate from the blog- only canon is reflected except in instances where the characterization is largely “crowdsourced” i.e. Touhou and KanColle.
: I am fully aware of the nature of these blogs, in any case, continue.
Back to her kuudere self I see. At any rate:
Age: OK, this is were Yuki gets interesting. Techically speaking Yuki is an artificial intelligence created by an alien entity known as the Integrated Data Thought Entity (or some other rough variation on that depending on translation) three years before the start of the series. Appearance-wise, Yuki appears to be high school aged, though her intelligence in terms of memory, raw processing ability and understanding of science and technology is clearly far greater than any normal human, but lacks an understanding of many aspects of human society, but more on that in the personality section.
Score: 8/10
Clothing: Yuki’s most commonly seen outfit is the girl’s version of the Kita High School Uniform, which consists of white top with a light blue collar and a light blue skirt, with a brown jacket with a blue collar worn in winter. She also wears dark blue ankle socks. In the Disappearance movie and Yuki Nagato-chan anime, she also wears a brown winter jacket and an orange scarf that, along with her glasses is just incredibly cute… it just makes you want to cuddle up with her on a cold winter night!
: Is this variation on my apperance really that appealing? Also, why is there a frame around the image?
Of course! *hugs winter Yuki*
And don’t worry about the frame. I just couldn’t find any other images in the right size.
Yuki is also seen wearing a wide selection of outfits and costumes and various casual outfits . Among these are a buruma, pyjamas, various swimsuits (including both sukumizu and bikini), maid outfit, nekomimi outfit, bunnygirl outfit, police uniform, witch costume, yukata, and more.
Score: 10/10
Personality:
Yuki is highly intelligent because of her nature as an alien artificial intelligence, with excellent memory, is highly skilled with computers, and is capable of making calculations far beyond what a human is capable of. Yuki even seems to be able to manipulate reality at will. In spite of this, or perhaps I should say because of it- Yuki claims her lack of social skills is caused by the amount of data she is processing interfering with them- Yuki is quiet and shy, rarely speaking or socializing with others, and seems to be socially awkward. Instead, she prefers to spend her time reading, and she even has an official reading list, consisting mostly of science fiction, but with other genres thrown in as well. Yuki also sometimes has difficulty grasping the concepts of items designed by and for use by humans, such as a computer mouse.
In spite of her apparent lack of emotion, it she is capable of feeling emotion, developing an emotional attachment to people, most notably the male lead, Kyon. She even at least makes an attempt at humor, though it is often difficult to tell is when she is joking.
In the Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan, an alternate reality Yuki that is a normal human is featured, though she still has some of the traits of her AI counterpart, including her shyness and apparent emotionlessness, as well as her love of reading.
In either form, Yuki’s kuudere personality is incredibly cute and very endearing, and scores high in my both the original and the Disappearance version.
Score: 10/10
Libido: Like with her emotions, Yuki doesn’t have much in the way of a sexuality.
: With the exception of the behavioral anomaly characteristic of blogs, commonly referred to as “fanservice”.
In any case, as Yuki said, her sexuality is usually repressed, but not entirely absent. As the story progresses, it is suggested that she may be developing feelings for Kyon, however, it is not entirely clear whether she has a true “single target sexuality”, as apparently at some point (mind you, I’m not sure exactly when), a misunderstanding in which Yuki believes she has received a love letter from an unknown admirer. This leads to her disappointment when it is discovered this is not in fact, the case, suggested she may have at least some interest in forming relationships with other people.
Regardless, Kyon is definitely the person Yuki feels to closest to any sort of affection, whether romantic or otherwise for, as he is really the only person who has really gotten to know her. In the Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan, Yuki’s alternate human self definitely has feelings for Kyon. Also, the fanbase sometimes ships both Disappearance and main timestream Yuki with Ryoko, particularly in the disappearance universe where the two of them live in the same apartment building.
Score: 5/10
Reception: Yuki is one of the most popular girls of the Haruhi Suzumiya series. On Pixiv, she even beats out Haruhi (who has only about 7000 images), with over 9000 images.
: I am detecting that this location would be ideal for the placement of a meme, but the blogger has decided against it on account of the same meme appearing in the same location in a previous blog. I must investigate whether this is a recurring pattern your blogs.
Yuki has also scored highly in the number of fan polls, including coming in second place in the International Saimoe League, and routinely scoring highly. In spite of the infamously poor memory of anime fans, Yuki remains a popular character in spite of her series being over ten years old now.
Score: 10/10
Voice: Yuki does not speak as much as other characters, and when she has a monotone voice typical of kuudere characters, making her seem emotionless. Minori Chihara does an excellent performance as Yuki, becoming one of my favorite kuudere character performances. I have also seen Yuki’s English dub, and Michelle Ruff, her English VA does also performs very well, at times, English Yuki does almost sound like the Japanese version magically became fluent in English, though perhaps a female monotone sounds the same in any language. The Haruhi series is also dubbed in several other languages, testament to its popularity, but Japanese and English are the only two I’ve heard, so there the only two I’ll talk about.
: Actually, I am capable of speaking thousand languages, including those from this and other planets, and instantanously downloading millions of others for immediate use.
Must be convenient.
: As I have never experienced human methods of internalizing information, I am unable to comment.
In any case, You scored very well, here:
Final Score: 85 (Excellent)
: A very high score, though predictions based on my positions on your favorites list suggest I would be higher.
However, do note that these blog scores are not always a perfect representation of my feelings towards a character- not everything can be put into numbers, and I do not necessarily weigh every section equally for every character. You happen to be one of my favorites.
: Interesting, it appears that while they may provide a breakdown of your opinions on a various aspects of character, there are times in which a character is more than the sum of their parts. Nonetheless, I have the urge to attempt to warp the baseline reality known as “canon” to include my upgraded posterior in order to influence my score.
I would definitely enjoy that, and I’m sure Zettai would as well.
: I have not spoken with Zettai in a while, I will have to show him the upgrades I have made to the posterior regions of my anatomy some time.
*As the tape finishes Rika and Topaz are in awe. Topaz is bright red.*
: A-Ahem. Well, looks like he has his perverse side down.
: What's the matter, Kimiko? Are you embarrassed to see such a thing?
: Not at all!
: Your red face says otherwise. Man, you look like a tomato.
: I prefer a boiled octopus, but the idea is still the same. I'm jealous of how lucky the other bloggers are.
: We're still plenty lucky. Remember last year when we were petrified for most of the year? This year has been FAR better!
: Fair point, which is why there weren't fan blogs that year. And the year before was serious as well. Perhaps this blog is a lot more casual.
: We can only hope so. Now, we should probably get going so that the readers can concentrate on the blog.
: I don't know about you, but I'm going to be "concentrating" on the fanservice in those blogs...
: Hey, you shouldn't do such naughty things. Topaz's friends worked hard on them.
: Don't worry, so will I.
: Stop being so perverse!
*Rika and Topaz grab the video player and pull on it. For some reason all three tapes get spit out at once, covering the duo in cassette tape.*
: Look at what you did now!
: Hey, it's not my fault that they didn't upgrade to digital.
: This is so like us, you know. We're always destroying the guest blogs.
: It's alright. I hope that people don't mind this running joke. Even if the "running" is more like QWOP.
: I don't think that game is popular anymore. It's almost ten years old!
: Much like the blog! Plus if we couldn't reference old games half of Empry's jokes would have to be removed! Probably more than that, too.
: Good point. Anyway, it seems that we'll be cleaning this up. Be sure to check the other blog for main-series plot and things.
