Welcome back. Last time we went back in time to save Sarah Connor except not really.

Hair
Konata has dark blue hair. Sometimes it doesn’t look that dark, but still not light either. She also has really long hair, like nearly to her shins long like the opening showcases. Since the show lacks much fanservice this length is pretty cool. Konata usually has her hair down but sometimes has ponytails or twintails among other various hairstyles. She also has a famous ahoge. The only flaw are the very generic bangs, though her long sidebangs are nice. Still solid overall.
Score: 8.5
Eyes
Konata has green eyes. Admittedly they are among the best green eyes though, since they are kinda dark, match her blue hair well, and look nice being slightly closed. But they are still green.

Build
Konata has measurements. Sadly only height and a chest estimate because mamocentrism, but better than nothing. Height is 142cm which is pretty short and great. The chest thing is each character was rated among various things via 0-5 scale and her chest scores 1 which is pretty damn small. That said Yutaka with 0.5 and Minami with 0 are even smaller, but they’re all flat really. However and the easily best part is that Konata has PRIDE in being flat and enjoys being this way, saying flat chests are “rare and valuable” and that they have fans too. This is incredibly awesome and helps plenty because more girls should think like this. Actually since Lucky Star was among my first anime I expected this would be the case. Boy was I horribly mistaken. Nostalgia trips aside slender girls are always welcome and Konata looks nice. Her only issue is the cutesy art style, though fanart helps with this. Flat chests are a status symbol indeed. Also her mouth looks funny and apparently was ambidextrous though most girls are left-handed oddly enough.

Konata shows ass. However the aforementioned cutesy art style makes her ass not very appealing, and thus she loses points. Maybe she should sit on a chocolate cornet accidentally.

Konata has a nice wardrobe. While her usual clothes are a generic sailor uniform her other costumes are good, with the series providing sukumizu and yukata and a witch costume among many great ones and official art tossing in bunny costumes and wedding dresses and many other winners. Also plenty bikinis like always. And I should note she cosplays as Haruhi for the obvious joke also.

Mind
Personality
Konata gets this right. She was born to a lolihag mom and otaku dad and inherited the former’s body and the latter’s hobbies for the ultimate combo. Otherwise there isn’t much to mention for overall backstory but she’s basically a decent student that enjoys hanging with her friends when not playing games or watching anime. She eventually clears high school and moves into college even though sadly the anime doesn’t cover this. Give us a second season please.
Otherwise all good. Konata is funny and loves teasing her friends and especially Kagami the team tsundere. She loves video games and also referencing them which sounds familiar. Also loves anime and seems the animated version has her favor Haruhi for studio jokes. Her favorite things are chocolate cornets and moe, while she hate the mozuku seaweed and sports shows albeit not for the most usual for Western fans “geek hates sports” thing actually; rather because sports can run past their expected ending and kick anime out of the schedule. Sports fans are seriously too favored and too biased from TV and yet they feel zero guilt. Anyway her favorite colors are red and black which look great together. She does best at sports but is not her favorite subject, while does worst for all sciences basically. From the second high school year onwards she works in a cosplay café and once in college she gets a driving license. Long short story she has many cool traits and scores fairly unsurprisingly well.

Reception
Konata also gets this right. She was easily the most popular character of this insanely popular series and deserved rightfully the love. The other main girls still get plenty love too for fairness and proper balance too. Sadly seems the other girls are less popular, included my top girls sadly, and alongside the Kagami couple bias mentioned below this prevents her from getting a perfect score but still not too bad obviously.

Libido
Konata is very naughty. Like she plays eroge naughty. She also loves teasing Kagami though this is anime only. Actually the Konata and Kagami stuff overtook Yutaka and Minami the real true canon yuri couple to a point it annoyed me but only slightly. Proof that KyoAni has never been faithful and has been always overrated. That aside the general naughtiness combined with the aforementioned flat chest pride catapult Konata into a great score. She needs sadism though.

Aya Hirano is pretty great. Sadly this also leads into the Haruhi reference spam the series is well known for. Keep milking that cow dry and then kick it to the corner, that’s how KyoAni rolls from the way things look. That aside she did a very cute voice for Konata that worked great, and grumbling aside hearing Aya Hirano say she wanted to meet Aya Hirano was great. And just for completeness might mention the English dub keeps the VA jokes intact. Good work. For curiosity Ryou Hirohashi voiced her in the DS videogame which sounds cute.
