My two and half three year old niece niece is almost 4. She is old enough to watch and enjoy some shows. That, and sometimes we need to find her a good distraction. What do I have in my arsenal? Cartoons. Since she's still a toddler, I'm mainly sticking to cute slice-of-life shows, ones with lots of music and colors. Surprisingly, she enjoyed the stuff she has seen so far. She has watched 80% of Dagashi Kashi with me, she totally adores Hotaru (Hotawu) and still asks me if there is more Hotaru for her to watch. Next we watched K-ON the movie, and she loved it. She still asks about the girls playing in school. Now that I have no more K-ON the show her, I'm thinking of starting OreImo 2 with her, as Kirino is yet another cute girl doing cute things. I have been stalling watching it for a couple of days since I'm busy and lack the motivation to start, but it is what we are going to watch next, possibly starting it in a couple of days or so.

EDIT ( June 27, 2016): We're watching Inari Konkon Koi Iroha, she's loving it so far. Here is to us finishing it soon.

EDIT (July 4, 2016): Started Tamako Market, she is enticed by Dela, and is taking a liking to mochi.

EDIT: (as of November 18, 2016):
She watched episodes of The World God only Knows 2 with me. Her take on it? Keima is naughty and she kept writing him X for all of his misbehaviors during all the episodes.

We saw the trailer on Food Wars Second Plate, she wanted to see it so we began Food Wars. We only saw 1 episode so far.

Flying Witch: she said she wanted to see Flying Witch after we finished episode 1 of Food Wars. Its the cats she wants to see, I'm sure.

EDIT: Little niece, 2 years old, has been joining us while we watch some cutesy anime. Surprisingly, she is sitting down and watching portions of the episodes we're playing. That, and its fun teaching her the names of the different characters.

EDIT (June, 2017 ) Hinako Note: Watched this one with both nieces. They enjoyed it, the older niece is better with names and she can enjoy stuff more, I keep getting asked to play Hinako for her. Kuu-chan is naughty because she eats papers/books.

EDIT (July 6th, 2017) Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Little niece likes Kawasi (Kobayashi), she's been saying the name a lot. When the screen is paused she demands I play it for her. She's cool with it. Big niece likes it too, watched a bunch of episodes with me and she likes it so far.

EDIT (July 13, 2017) Browsing Crunchyroll with the 2 year old, she picked Barakamon and keeps "omg" at it. She's at least enjoying the scenery and mumbling random things at it, I'll take this as a good sign lmao.
She sat down and watched an episode while I was busy and couldn't watch. She sat in my chair and just... watched it all by herself (well she only managed less than half the episode but I'm impressed).

I was referring to this final scene. The translation is actually not quite right. What Kirino said was they'll do a life counselling TOGETHER (where as it used to be Kirino asking her brother to give her life counselling). From an adaptation perspective (from the LN), it was really well done as far as these last few episodes go. So it's really up to us to interpret it.

Ecchi level? I don't recall there is any. But don't quote me on it.

Why you don't want to watch it again? Madoka is good. I actually enjoy the movies more for some reason.

Well... it's a clever way to leave things open-ended. Though the fact that Kyousuke kissed his imouto at the end and Kirino said THEY will have another counseling together, it should suggest that they're not over each other.

I'm sure she will like her. I just need to know the ecchi level of it, and if there is anything suggestive or inappropriate for a 2 year old to watch.
Are you kidding? Why would I even let her watch Madoka? I don't want to watch Madoka again ;w;
Yeah that ending was pretty wtf, like the did go down THAT route only to back out at last minute???? Like why even bother do it in the first place?????

The little girl in the show is pretty cute, your niece might like her.
Mahou Shoujo? Just make sure you don't expose her to Madoka too early else you might break her heart :(

OreImo is too advanced for her, but I am surprised you liked it. There are many haters out there for the troll ending. I got what I wanted so I have no complain :)

@KaminaKai
I dunno? I'll have to check it out first and make sure its appropriate to a two year old to watch. :p
What are you talking about, Hotaru is amazing!!!! Lol, right? I'm trying to expose her to different kinds of shows, maybe next I'll get her into some mahou shoujo stuff like PreCure and see how that goes. :D
Lmao she did not like OreImo 2 much, kept saying 'lets turn this off' and 'enough Kirino'. But I loved it! I mean yeah finally an actual plot and fun shit that kept ME occupied throughout!!! :D

I recommend giving this show a try for your niece.

I think it is okay?

Hatowu is okay, too crazy as a character for my liking though lol. But hey, your niece got some pretty awesome taste to anime already I can tell!

Kirino and Hatowu is voiced by the same seiyu, so I'm sure your niece will like it. But don't know if the story is appropriate though. Season 2 of OreImo is quite different from season 1 after all. But don't get me wrong, season 2 could easily be in my top 10 xD I pray for a bright and energetic anime future for your niece!!!
