Anime Relations: Samurai Flamenco
After 4354578873405 days without writing, I just had to take out my thoughts on Samurai Flamenco--- not that it's that bad, or is it good, I'm just actually quite confused.

When I started watching the series, I initially thought it was one of those light, somewhat hilarious kind of anime that I would normally resort to whenever I was bored. I found it pretty amusing, actually. However, when the King Torture arc started, I couldn't accept it. Not that I didn't want the anime to get a serious story, but I felt its incoherence with with the initial episodes.

At the beginning, normally, people just laugh off these hallucinating superheroes into their attempts to take justice into their hands, as Gotou-san would stop Masayoshi from acting like a weirdo. The next few episodes built on Masayoshi's character, heroism, and physical strength. Up to this point, my mind can handle it.

When the drug-induced Ape was introduced, I got really confused. How was the story going to that direction? Is it possible that, like Masayoshi, there were more weirdos who were not able to outgrow their childish hallucinations and were actually taking it out to reality-- transforming humans to suicidal robots and chainsawing their own hand? What's more-- people have accepted these superheroes and their enemies, like they were egg and bacon for breakfast. Evil and justice had evolved.

Samumenco has outdone my expectations way beyond the boundary. I really want to drop this anime but I couldn't because I just want to know how it ends.
