Great concept, overall nice story & characters and often very funny. I love Adachi sm, he's so real and hilarious, but honestly I find him and Kurosawa's relationship just okay. On the other hand I LOVE Tsuge and Minato, their dynamic is super sweet and much more interesting to me.

Surprisingly good for an original BL animation, not super invested in this relationship but Dojun is a really entertaining protagonist. It was pretty funny sometimes too.

Honestly... WAY better than I expected it to be. I don't care that much about sci-fi usually but this was pretty cool. Fucked up but very appropriate ending I think.

Really cool and fucked up show, I loved how it was at times truly gritty and then also over-the-top comedic and ridiculous. Very likable main cast and a lovely visual style too.

Rewatched with @vms01 in July 2023. This has actually held up well! I didn't really remember anything about this besides the death scenes, and considering how difficult it was for me to understand the plot now I'm sure I didn't understand it at all 10 years ago lol. A bit too heavy on exposition at times, but ultimately the mystery was pretty interesting to follow. The gore was way better and more brutal than I remembered, definitely a peak anime in that genre still.

Had some funny bits but mostly too one-note for me.

It's exactly what you would expect from the name, and I say this in the most neutral way possible.

Hands down the best part of this show was the creativity that went into the animation, the amount of effort that was put into every single gag was pretty crazy. On top of that though, this was a very fresh anime for this year. Really fun soundtrack, lovely cast of characters and a feel-good vibe topped with some relatable struggles. I wish this came out when I was in high school because 17yo me really needed a character like Bocchi to project my own issues onto. She is JUST like me fr (except actually skillful)

Basically just a less polished version of the start of the TV anime, quick pacing aside it's not bad for a pilot episode. I kinda like the artstyle of this version, even though it's not nearly as expressive or comedically suitable as the main anime. There's something very cozy about the low-budget feel of it all lol.

I love this show SO much, it's rare for a sports anime to get me in my feels like this. (It does help that baseball is maybe the only team sport I have ever enjoyed playing.) The premise is so good in all its simplicity, and it's equal parts silly fun and games as well as painfully real introspection and remembrance of past mistakes. Every main character has a wealth of depth to them and despite the vastly different personalities their dynamics and team spirit are awesome. Absolutely love the writing, plot developments, comedy, animation, game choreography, voice acting... Everything, really. Super happy to have given this a shot despite not being all that interested at first, it reserved a permanent spot in my heart by the end of it.

Best part is that it has a crossdressing character played by Shintaro Asanuma. Otherwise uhh, plot was pretty boring but the characters were fine I guess. Great ED song at least.

I really really liked this, for the most part I found it to be funny and wack in a good way. Definitely not perfect, especially with pacing and character development, but I still appreciate the characters, cast, humor, animation and overall vibe a lot. Plus the angst was great.

This show is so special to me. I was constantly impressed by how it managed to be endearing, funny and gutwrenching without any change in tone feeling out of place. Rei and Kazuki are a super lovable duo, and Miri is a charming kid. The family dynamic was a joy to watch, especially since the dads consistently went through character development that led to them being better parents and better partners. It really is a heartfelt story, silly antics aside. I also loved the artstyle and animation, the action scenes looked sick and the amount of detail in facial expressions and gestures was amazing. Also appreciate how they often didn't use music for serious moments, it made them feel much more real and impactful.

Incredible from start to finish. Ranpo's backstory especially was really engaging and beautiful, the present day conflict was gripping and intense too. The way it keeps bouncing between flashbacks and real-time doesn't even bother me because every part of the story is executed equally well. Also 'TRUE STORY' is an absolute BANGER opening song.

Bro what the fuck was up with that ending????? The decision to make the anime surpass the timeline of the manga in the last episode was jarring and strange but ultimately really cool as an experience, having no idea what to expect all of a sudden made the events a lot more impactful. This was an awesome season!

Super funny and very cute, then there are a couple episodes that are just straight up heartbreaking?? I love this so much, also the soundtrack is unironically awesome.

For once the hype was actually 100% justified, holy shit. Breathtaking art direction and animation, crazy good soundtrack, some of the best gore in anime history, compelling and believable characters with really talented seiyuu, and an interesting story that made every episode feel like 5 minutes. The whole vibe of it is unlike anything I've watched before and I love it so much.

The song that taught me the weekdays in Japanese lol. Total banger and the MV is really fun. Brings me back to my early Charisma days and how much better life was then :')

In 2013 this was the scariest shit ever to me, now it's just a mediocre torture porn fueled story wearing the skin of Corpse Party. Bleh. I kinda liked the ending though, in all its morbidness.

I went through a severe depressive episode for three days after watching the final episode. Incredible show but man does it hurt.

More entertaining than I'd like to admit, and pretty funny too. Junta is way too overbearing at times though. Takato on the other hand is a great protag, super charismatic. Also this is way less uncomfortable as an experience than the manga since it's obviously toned down a lot for that PG-13 rating, and it's better for it.

It was pretty fun but I'm not sure what the point of the story was??? lol I liked Antonio and Ceres though.

Quite a fun show, felt pretty unique for the genre in ways. Honestly the romance side of it is just whatever for me, but I do like the dynamic between the mcs anyway. Absolutely love Jiji lol, and Aira is funny too. Not big into dirty humor so the comedy was ehh for me overall. Ep. 7 was a masterpiece in every aspect, kinda wish there was more serious stuff like that mixed in.

Pretty good for a horror anime, which isn't really saying much but still. For the most part it wasn't scary or creepy enough for me, but certain moments and episodes definitely got fucked up enough to freak me out.

Quite an intense watch, very harrowing and shocking at times. Kinda dragged at points and I'm not the most satisfied with the conclusion or overall direction in the latter half, but it was not terrible.

Interesting point of view to follow the story from, just wish there was more context for things and it wasn't one episode only.

Fun premise and the characters were alright, but I can't shake off the weird vibes I get from the teacher-student relationships. Just the way their interactions are written comes across as weirdly implicative, usually on the girls' end.

A beautiful movie, possibly the realest BL anime so far thanks to how imperfect and delicate their relationship is; confused and awkward teenage guys actually depicted as such. Gorgeous artwork and animation. I wish real life looked like this.

If there was a deeper meaning somewhere here I sure did not catch it. It was weird enough for me to keep watching but otherwise pretty mediocre. The gore was nothing special and I really didn't vibe with the way the diclonius girls were infantilized and sexualized at the same time.

This will forever be THE sports anime in my heart. I love swimming and I love how it's portrayed here through Haru's feelings towards it, I love the cast and their dynamics so so so much and the early 2010s vibes make me want to cry, in a positive way. It may have taken me almost 10 years to watch the last 6 episodes but I'm both glad and sad that I finally did; it was a fun, lovely and emotional experience but at the same time the end of an era for me, finishing something I started so long ago when I was younger and happier. Words can't quite describe the bittersweet warmth I feel thanks to this show, I'll never forget it.

Random as hell as the specials tend to be but I liked it. Nice setup for the season.

It's been a while since anime angst put me through the wringer this bad, but it was amazing. I love how psychological this season got in a way that's quite different compared to S1, and how it focused on both Iwatobi and Samezuka's team members' struggles. All the characters are so so good and deeply written, it was hard not to root for everyone simultaneously.

Unironically a peak episode, the fanservice was so carefully crafted for my amusement specifically I swear. Also everyone roleplaying with complete seriousness during the water gun fight took me tf out lmao, it was hysterically funny.

Nice and fun, the video filming episode was great and the last one was absolutely demented lol. Also Momo was too cute <3

Fun show with a cool, delightfully over-the-top premise. I looove Haru as a main character and his internal conflicts were very interesting. Daisuke is also very entertaining and I love how severely incompatible the two are lol. The otherwise uneventful episode where they just hang out together for no reason was peak to me.

I know this is just an ad essentially, but man I would watch a full anime of this in a heartbeat. Even if the anime too was just about exams lol. The atmosphere and animation were so beautiful.

I know quite literally nothing about Kamen Rider so this was mildly confusing, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. "The Closed k" was a really fucking good story arc. Big fan of the crimefighting guy duo genre of anime, Philip and Shotaro have a great dynamic. Other characters were good too, except Tokime who felt like she existed only for fanservice. Like yeah she IS really hot but that shouldn't make her incapable of also being interesting...

Ep. 1 was absolutely mindblowing when I first watched it in 2015, not knowing what the show was gonna be about made the ending twist so fucking sick and memorable. Besides that it was a good show, not as fleshed out as the manga but still. I hate how they made a big deal out of the dog in this version though, it just felt like cheap emotional manipulation in the end.

Unironically a stellar BL parody, I wish I could personally thank the people who made this.

It was okay. I liked the very quiet, mundane atmosphere and realism in how the characters behaved. Not sure how to feel about the main conflict, sure it felt very human and vulnerable but at the same time it felt like there were a lot of gaps in the story that made it feel a bit disjointed, like a thing would happen and suddenly it's 3 months later and another thing happens and so on. Would have liked a less open ending better I think.

It's fine but a decade later I'm still pissed that they added an unnecessary, non-canon character death in it. Also Weed is and always will be a little bitch.

Incredible story about learning to express grief and move on while opening your heart to new love. The OP, ED and performed songs could not be any more perfect. Ep. 9 alone packs more emotional impact than most anything I've seen before.

Not as good as the first season, but the quality is consistent and Mafuyu's song here is lovely. Glad we got Haruki and Akihiko's story animated; their relationship is complicated and at times definitely problematic, but it's not like these things don't happen in real life. Showing that people can grow and learn from their mistakes is important.

Such a sweet OVA, seeing Mafuyu and Ritsuka's life post-relationship is heartwarming <3 Really funny too, topped with a bit of sadness as is expected from Given.

AMAZING video and one of the best All Stars songs, hands down. I hope they use the 3DCG models in future music videos, they look really good. The 2D animations are also beautiful, the movement is so fluid mmmm. And goddamn this song goes hard. I can't even pick a favourite part because they're all perfect, the whole song will just randomly start playing in my brain some days. Samatoki, Jiro, Rosho, Gentaro, Hifumi and Hitoya's verses probably get stuck in my head the most though.

Quite good but not nearly as good as the main series, it felt a bit cluttered and lacked a satisfying resolution. Dorothy is a pretty fun main character though.

Man... They really missed the mark on the original games' humor and pacing.

Pretty fun, a gritty premise turned into something quite relaxed and campy. Great main characters, Lin is genuinely so cool and Banba is very charming. I really love how often the side characters appear and interact with the mcs, it's not often that all the supporting roles feel this important to the story. Also a big fan of how Sarucchi is set up to be a big villain but then he's just kinda chill after the midway point and starts hanging out with everyone else lol, he was cute.

This was uhhh pretty alright? Definitely felt like a 2014 anime but not in a bad way necessarily. It was fun albeit messy. Characters were cool, ending was a mindfuck.

Very random concept but I thought this was funny and the slot machine girls were cute. Might be biased because of my interest in gambling related things.

Handa-kun himself was the best and funniest part of this show (he is just like me fr (paranoid with trust issues)), the other characters were just whatever. The gags were pretty repetitive too.

This song has a lot of fun vocal deliveries, I really love it for that and how dynamic it is. MTC's part has my favourite instrumental, Samatoki's verse is sexy and Jyuto's verse has me in a chokehold because of the way Komachan performs it live. Gentaro's singing is lovely. Hifumi's verse gets stuck in my head often (babygirl ily). BAT's part is THE best one; Kuko's verse bangs as always, Jyushi is adorable and Hitoya is delightfully silly in his delivery. Dotsuhon's part is a close second, they're perfect too <3 Also the music video is cute.

This show is so fucking baller, I absolutely adore the premise, universe and main characters. Awesome animation and action, touching and raw moments, cool plot. Card game/playing card related stuff always hits for me man.

Still great but lacked the animation quality of S1, sadly, and the plot felt more messy and convoluted as well. Nevertheless it had a lot of cool and intense moments and my love for this show didn't waver at any point.

A pretty nice filler-ish episode, really happy just to get any new content of this series. I like that Vijay got to be in focus, his character could use a lot more exploration.

Loved this a lot more than I thought I would. Great prequel with some of the most heartful, emotional moments in the entire series. Asahi and Ikuya were great additions to the main cast and their friendship with Haru and Makoto was so cute.

Semi-promising at first but became kind of convoluted once the "true" plot started unraveling. Then again what could we expect from a Higurashi sequel anyway.

This was alright, Saikoroshi-hen was really fascinating and put a lot of things in the story into new perspectives, though it still felt less like canon sequel material and more like filler. The first gag episode was just okay and the last one was actually pretty funny.

Beyond disappointing. 80% recaps of Gou and barely any screentime for anyone other than Rika and Satoko. Last nail in the Higurashi anime coffin, a sad way to go :/

Cool little extra mystery for this series.

This is everything to me. H&K is such a precious manga to me and even being a short adaptation this was everything I was hoping for it to be. I adore their voices so much and getting to see them interact in motion was amazing.

Eh..... Honestly I really do not like the main couple, their dynamic was kinda weird and creepy. I wish there were more episodes about Kensuke and Hasekura instead, issues aside their relationship was at least something I could kind of root for. The ED song was cute.

I liked the characters and their team's improvement arcs and the overall kinda different vibe for a sports anime a lot. Could've toned down the family drama though, it was a bit much considering pretty much everyone had something going on. Also wtf was that cliffhanger?????? Sad that we'll likely never get another season :(

Really don't care much about rocket science or space personally, but this was still a cute, light watch with some occasional much appreciated angst, as well as a good depiction of social anxiety. Beautiful artstyle.

Wasn't familiar with the main series at the time of watching, but despite that this was a lot of fun! I really dig the humor and the artstyle is pure eye candy.

Same as the first part, it was a great time! I liked the genderbend story especially lol, some parts were really funny too.

This was a neat show, I really enjoyed the concept and sort of episodic feel. Kinda started to drag in the last few episodes but oh well. Richard and Seigi are a very interesting pair to watch.

Honestly the romance is super whatever to me and in general the plot felt a bit disoriented, but despite all that this movie has a lot of fun and creative things going for it. There were some great characters, though personally I think Howl could have more depth, I do like him but his character felt a bit... vapid? I'd rate this a 7.5 if I could but a 7 feels too harsh, considering the beautiful animation and unique ideas.

The first Hypmic story content I consumed :) Doesn't really do the canon lore justice and a lot of things are very confusing without prior context, but it's still a lot of fun. A decent gateway into the franchise if you're like me and too lazy to start with the manga or drama tracks; you at least get a sense of the characters' personalities and dynamics, even if the plot is kinda dog. You just have to not take it too seriously and keep in mind that it's not super representative of the canon storyline. Also personally I love the original songs and the way they're used. Kind of embarrassing to watch sometimes lol but you get used to the silliness of it.

It was a fun time!!! Especially the DH and FP episodes which had AMAZING character moments, flashbacks and central themes. As convoluted as the overarching plot kinda was it was still pretty interesting, and the whole Akira+Satoru thing was full-on heartbreaking. I really liked the villain characters and their motives. The original songs were overall maybe not as memorable as S1, but there were some major bangers in here too. Love the art direction a lot more, the quality wasn't always consistently good but a lot of scenes looked shockingly good for hypani and overall the characters looked really nice. I'm so glad we got more of this <3

SO MUCH FUN!!!!! While there isn't all that much of a plot the interactions and lines we do get between the characters are fantastic. The animation and music are what really sell this, the characters are super expressive and imo portrayed perfectly in line with their personalities, and the songs are insaneeeeeee bangers. Like holy shit they're good. A lot of very very very cool visuals, thematics and raps, couldn't ask for much more from a DRB centered movie. The voting system is of course awesome too.

Something about this is compelling to me. The relationship between the MCs feels surprisingly natural and they play off each other well. Weird and uncomfortable shit ensues but aside from that it's entertaining and I'm all for the "let's elope into the sunset" type of ending. Also I'm biased because Ranmaru looks exactly like Hiroki from Junjou Romantica and just so happens to be voiced by the same guy.

Pretty funny, especially during the first half. Remarkably great cast of characters in both worlds. I especially loved Alicia, Raiga & Edgar and their dynamic, seeing a platonic friend group like that was very refreshing.

I don't know the first thing about mahjong but oddly enough I loved this, it was funny and so endearingly weird in the most random ways.

So good!! Yuta is an awesome protagonist and his backstory is great, I loved how eerie the whole plot with Rika-chan was. It was nice to learn more about the side characters too, and the action scenes were sick. A nice, fairly self-contained and concise addition to the series.

Both arcs were absolutely top tier, goddamn. Intense, brutal and incredibly well directed from beginning to end, even with the unfortunate drops in visual detail. Amazing work from severely underappreciated animators, they really were the stars of this season despite everything.

Genuinely one of the funniest anime I've watched, my god I haven't laughed this much in years probably. Shungiku Nakamura's sense of humor is very special to me. I also love these characters endlessly. The novelty of 2000s yaoi is irreplaceable.

It's still good but the Usami family drama gets a bit too absurd even for this series lol, the plot just isn't as interesting during that arc. The Egoist and Terrorist episodes were amazing though.

I desperately wish they made 2 episodes for each side couple but I also understand why they couldn't. A lot of sweet and important moments happen between Usagi and Misaki though so it's fine, and the drama is very compelling. Also Toudou best minor character, finally Misaki gets a normal friend like he deserves lol. Absolute banger soundtrack, even more so than previous seasons.

I can't express just how much I love both OVAs, they were so fucking sweet. Egoist is my fav couple so of course that one eviscerated me, but the Season 3 one was really really cute and precious as well.

K-On! has a special place in my heart just because when I had just moved to a new apartment (which was a huge positive change at the time) I would spend evenings eating pizza, drinking red wine and watching this anime. Kinda miss those times.

I just don't see the chemistry between the main chacters at all. It wasn't bad per se, just not convincing enough for me to get invested. Kaguya's character archetype is also extremely unappealing to me.

Best of the seasons I watched, it had some genuinely great and funny moments. It's just that I found myself bored during the non-comedic parts, I really tried to but I can't care about the main couple for the life of me.

More of the same, it had a few points that were somewhat interesting at least, though some of the drama felt a bit shallow.

I liked the folklore stuff - it was very interesting and unsettling - and some episodes (like the V-Tuber ones) were pretty good, but a lot of this show was a slog for me. The unnecessary and weirdly immature fanservice didn't help.

The first anime that I got properly hyperfixated on. I know the mind games in this show are very basic and not all that clever, but somehow the concept and execution have enthralled me. Also after watching this I realized that I absolutely possess some pretty bad gambling tendencies.

I adore Mary, Tsuzura and their relationship, but sadly the games and side characters weren't that interesting for the most part :/ Still enjoyed it for what it was, honestly surprised and thankful more of this series got animated.

I assume most people don't care much for the new characters but I loooove the Momobami clan members. Ibara Obami specifically has me in a chokehold, but I love all the others too, they have very entertaining personalities. The whole election plot is honestly quite addicting to watch.

Didn't hook me from the get-go, but after Ep. 8 or something I managed to get invested. A lovely story with refreshing depictions of what doing sports as a novice and with different issues is actually like. I only wish they expanded more on the ending post-timeskip, just 1 extra episode would have been enough.

Every bit as good as people say. Took a while to adjust to the artstyle but it does look great, and the story was just exceptional and told in a very enticing way.

You know, as slow as the movie felt at the beginning, I kind of preferred the more grounded plot to the fantasy adventures by the end of it. There were some cool moments in the latter half too but a lot of it was lost on me, and I didn't really like Heron Man as a prominent character. Also wish Kiriko got more screentime, they were sooo attractive and cool.

I think I cried at least 5 separate times during this film. It was just so soulcrushingly sad yet hopeful and full of heartfelt emotions, both good and bad and from all sorts of points of view.

Eeehhh...... I guess it had a few funny moments but the non-con elements were very off-putting. No mutual romantic tension at all really.

Surprisingly good. I'm glad it took an unconventional approach to the harem-type cast, Kazuma is a really funny protagonist and I like how him and the other party members are such dipshits towards eachother lol. The episode structure was nice and the whole RPG style storytelling was fun. My one big issue was the entirety of Darkness' character, she's far outshined by everyone else in the party in terms of likability and her schtick got old before it even began. That one serious moment she had in Ep. 10 was good though.

I'm not that big into childcare as a genre so those parts were just alright, but I really enjoyed the characters. (Sugihara my beloved) And it was pretty funny overall. Wish there was more serious yakuza stuff though.

The tonal shifts are handled with little to no tact, but quirky late 2000s anime comedy moments aside, when this show gets serious and dark it's actually really good. Would have changed my life if I watched it when I was younger. They should've stuck with the manga for the ending, but it wasn't terrible as it was. Kinda cool and gritty if it just ended like that for good.

I mean, I liked Claude but besides that it was kinda dog. Really felt like shitty fanfiction, I especially hated the ending.

These were pretty fun and creative. Ciel in Wonderland was bizarrely fitting for the series.

250th completed anime entry! Pretty random and unserious, but it was alright and the action was pretty good. The flashback was nice and honestly the best part, though it kinda halted the movie in an awkward way.

Aahh this was great, I'm glad with this they were able to set the Kuroshitsuji anime on the right track again. Kinda surprised by how fucked up this ended up being, the circus people's fate was depressing to watch.

This was a really entertaining murder mystery, in all its ridiculousness. Ciel's character portrayal here was great, especially in the ending.

Really really great, wasn't sure how I'd vibe with the visual style change but it could look super nice at times, and it still felt like Kuroshitsuji in the end. The underlying twist was pretty wild and it was a compelling plot to follow, which is somewhat surprising given most of the usual cast wasn't present for almost all of it. Great OP and a major banger of an ED.

A good original anime with exceptionally pretty and detailed visuals and animation. I'm not that interested in these kinds of stories usually but this held my attention all the way through. Characters were well written and easy to empathize with. Chisato and Takina are a really sweet duo, just wish this was yuri so they could actually be together tbh.

They really ended it like that, huh. If the fourth movie never comes out I'm not sure how to cope. This was crazy good.

I liked the overall message of this show, but as a story it lacked poignance, coherence and direction. I would've loved for it to have a more serious and dark twist to match the OP and ED, what they ended up doing didn't really leave any sort of impact. It could have worked as a completely unserious absurd parody comedy too, but it tried too hard to have an actual plot that ultimately felt very empty.

It was just too whimsical for me, I dunno. There were a handful of episodes that I LOVED, and they were all the grittiest ones. It's just a me problem that I can't enjoy the moments that are all fantastical and colourful but still. If this show just fully committed to the dark fantasy it could be one of my favourites. Also I don't really like Chise that much as a protag, her backstory is interesting but that's about it.

I just thought it was mostly boring, and it was kinda hard to care about any of the new characters, save for one or two. Too much time was spent on repetitive family drama instead of actual cool fantasy things and the main conflicts.

Quite an exhausting arc, still wasn't able to feel connected to the side characters but more interesting stuff happened than in the first half at least.

A lot more interesting and emotionally impactful than most of the main anime. I'm a big fan of the dark tone this had going on as it didn't lean as much into generic fantasy.

Pretty enjoyable, it was nice to have someone other than Chise take the spotlight for a whole OVA. Gabriel was a good character and just like with the first OVA I loved the darker tone. A nice change of format for the story, with Chise & co. helping from the sidelines.

This was nice, I really like how despite the magical elements the events and messages in the film are ultimately fairly grounded. The pacing was pleasantly calm.

Meh, didn't like the seme's personality at all and the romance kinda sucked because of that. The uke was okay, I liked the plotline he had with the girl.

Actually changed my life fundamentally when I watched this for the first time. Instantly fell in love with Iori due to the presentation of his part, laughed my ass off at the editing during Ohse's part and in general vibed and rolled so hard at this. I have loved Charisma House ever since <3

Kinda meh, had some cool concepts but it didn't really evoke emotions of any kind in me. The pacing felt off the whole time and personally the story was too complex for me to completely follow. Nice music.

I wish this was a genuine horror anime, sadly it wasn't scary at all.

A really pleasant, sweet story about finding something to live for after losing all hope, and about how simply having some company and a hobby goes a long way. The cast was nice and likeable, and I love that the central focus was on a bromance instead of a generic romantic relationship. Tsunehiro and Takaaki have great chemistry and make for such a good pair - of friends, of partners, of whatever really. I adored the serious and solemn moments, the last couple episodes in particular hit hard for me. The fishing stuff was neat too. It was the kind of show I didn't know I needed but really did right now.

For the most part, absolutely hysterical. The scenarios are insane and I think every character - even the minor ones - had at least one standout moment. I love how the episodes are structured also. My only complaints are that halfway through it started to get a bit drab, and I didn't like Hakase as a character all too much. Also I wanted Sakurai and Takasaki to get together </3

200th completed anime entry <3 Can't believe how long it took me to watch this, one of these shows that just hits different and will continue to reside in my mind forever. Shion and Nezumi make for one of my favourite relationships in anything ever. Episodes 1-7 were near perfect imo, after that it was still good but a bit too exposition-heavy. I didn't totally hate the ending but I'll admit the way it was handled was not the best. Thankfully the manga makes it a bit less painful.

To my surprise this was actually funny even though I have no prior knowledge about the game. These characters rock, also the ED is a certified banger.

Better artstyle and definitely had some funny episodes and gags, but overall not as entertaining as S1 imo.

The concept is cool and I appreciate that things are explained clearly, but sometimes the mechanics and events feel too dumbed down and convenient. And it's a little cringe with the edginess and character development sometimes tbh lol. The action is good at least.

One of my fav group songs, every part is so good instrumentally and vocally. The music video is very fun as always, the little puppets are cute.

The animation is as great as you would expect but honestly I found myself really bored for most of the film. I'm all for avant garde and experimental stuff but this just didn't hook me.

Wasn't familiar with Paralive's story prior to watching this, but after warming up to it for a bit I liked it a lot! Wasn't the biggest fan of the soundtrack outside the OP/ED and maybe a couple insert songs (plus the background music which was awesome), but the plot was quite interesting and some of the characters were really great. It can be a bit on the nose about its dark themes but the presentation was alright and some episodes were just fantastic.

Probably the most anxiety-inducing animation I've watched. Masterpiece level directing and animation.

I wish this wasn't a romance, seriously. The first few episodes were interesting and promising but then it just became a boring slice-of-life romcom with a predictable ending.

Started off okay but yeesh, the drop in quality - both visually and storywise - was pretty huge. Weird and seemingly pointless ending?

I was only familiar with Red/Blue and Sun/Moon at the time of watching so I didn't really catch any other story references, but this was a neat little series anyway.

The fanservice is eh for me personally but this had some amazing comedic moments. Gakuto and Jouji are my heroes.

Really cool show, I love how gritty and merciless the story was. Characters were really well written and the worldbuilding was fantastic.

Pretty alright as a sports anime, though the most interesting part about this was the twist (?) regarding the main character's backstory. Props for the original idea for why exactly the mc is struggling with their hobby.

Man, what happened here... Lackluster as all hell, the antagonization of a certain character didn't feel justified either, or rather his motive was pretty unimpressive. Also the guitar sound that plays during EVERY scene transition is horrendous.

No other anime has made me feel so many unexplainable emotions. Trippy experience that I really want to be able to fully understand, someday.

Good adaptation! Feels like the animation quality was still lower than the og anime but besides that it was pretty stellar.

The poor animation and lackluster spastic editing really don't do justice to the beautiful artstyle of the manga, it's a shame this turned out so low quality. That aside I also found the drama to be very tiring and repetitive, and personally I had a hard time caring about Shiho as a character at all. Wasn't a fan of how the focus totally shifted to her and Aki's relationship at some point, it was hard to get invested in all that. If nothing else at least the songs were pretty good.

This relationship was a lot sweeter than I ever could've expected from an old-ish yaoi?? Well done!

For the most part it was just so... meh... The chemistry between the MCs was practically nonexistent and the plot felt like vapid drama, nothing more. Yasumi is a fairly good character but Yuhi is remarkably dull.

This is such a thoughtful and heartfelt story, I love it a lot. The personal exploration and confusion about oneself hit pretty close to home at times, and a lot of moments were just heartwrenching. I really adore how much depth there is to these characters and how nuanced the takes on gender, sexuality and relationships are in this show. Very special and introspective. Having a f/m/m love triangle like this is also interesting to see!

Wasn't super familiar with Shenmue at the time of watching, but it was pretty entertaining and felt like a surprisingly decent video game adaptation.

I'm predictable and cried my eyes out. 9/10 will probably never rewatch in order to preserve my mental health.
