Binghuo Mochu 2

This is my first review for any series on this site, only because I recommend watching this entire series so much.

So far the story has been pretty great, its about cooking with magic. It just so happens theres a little bit of romance in it. As things progress in both cooking and the romance with Feng Nu, things get a bit muddy with the whole "rule of the clan" thing, much like how his journey started when he was young and then had to train for years, because he wasn't ready to go outside until he was capable of protecting himself.

There really isn't any harem ... in this and I don't understand the viewpoint of the other reviewers. There might have been other females who tried to claim him through the series, but he is very clear to them he just wants to journey on and learn more about cooking. His only love interest is that of Feng Nu.

-Spoilers Past This Point-

I don't remember where Season 2 starts off but he has met several women previously and they might have been interested in him but he wants to journey on where they all just want to tie him down from his journey. He found this child girl named "Kitten" who just happens to think of him as a handsome and amazing guy (Which he is we all know he is.), but Nian Bing doesn't want a child as a partner and sees her as a sister instead. Anyway she went back with her father. (Who happens to be a dragon) Nian Bing found his new mother (which found and let him be a son when he was younger) and his new mother acknowledges his being. A Dragon is his Master and his Master is amazing and really gentle despite how he acts towards Nian Bing. He gets to learn more of the magic elements through his Master. His Master calls it Simulation Magic, and very few were successful at doing so previously, the fact he can means he is special. (Or just that no one else was able to tame the dragon who could teach them XD.) Kitten returns later only to get Nian Bing into more trouble, because Her father is an insufferable fool who cannot comprehend that Nian Bing doesn't see Kitten in a partner-like way and tries to make Nian Bing into the evil one (Which we know he isn't).

Very confusing cultivation levels. In season 1, they say Feng Nu is a Martial Master, and in season 2, Feng Nu just breaks through to Martial Master while training. Sometimes Nian Bing can even fight with Magic Tutors, and sometimes he can barely fight against mere mercenaries. And there is also confusion about Magic Scholar and Magic Tutor, as both sound like "Mó dǎoshī" in Chinese.

I was enjoying the story at first. But later on, it starts to get confusing. At the start of season 2, they suddenly brought up some 7 God Weapons out of nowhere without explaining anything and the next thing we ... know is that Nian Bing is searching for the 7 weapons.

Also, it's annoying how he cannot even deal with some mere mercenaries when he is a Great Mage and can also fight against Magic Tutors, and also how Xue Jing suddenly appears to pester him.
I might still have continued this if the cultivation levels weren't messed up, it just ruined the series for me. I can't see the difference between power levels, so the fights are also boring to me.

But this is just my opinion, there might still be other people who like this series.

welp this is sad it's a harem waste of my time so in season 1 they don't fully out-bomb the harem theme in the anime but in season 2 it seems like they just threw a harem bomb in it. in season 1 i was enjoying it until they add the extra side chick we all know the MC only like one girl so far it's the pink hair called Feng Nu the rest is just there that shouldn't even exist like I honestly will never understand the use of harem like get this one guy surround by like 5 chicks and the chicks must ... be loyal to the MC; mind you MC is basically cheating like I'm not taking the shit " it's ok to share" that a load of bull why is it the MC have to be the cheater and the chicks have to be the one loyal to that loser you might as well have open marriages instead of MC marrying anyone. i lost interest and I'm dropping this garbage
