Shinkai addpermalink

The characters Nana (with pink aura) and Lili (with yellow aura) in Yakusoku (2019) reminded me of the characters 2P (dark-haired) and E2 (light blue-haired) in Shinkai. I happened to watch Shinkai first but Yakusoku predates it. Both MVs are atmospheric and also use whales as symbolism.

Both music videos have different meanings but both are basically about the journey. Both even use whales as symbolism.
