Kidou Senshi Gundam: The Origin - Zenya Akai Suisei

I believe everyone who has watched both shows is gonna agree with me when I say that Char/Casval and Reinhard are very similar in many aspects, like how both of them were comitted to overthrowing a bigger power that made them suffer, and even in how they did so. But what really makes LoGH a strong recommendation for Advent of the Red Comet's fans is how one show complements the other. Casval has the backstory that Reinhard needed and lacked, while von Lohengramm's geniousness would've been perfect in Rem Deikun's hands.  

Space, and the fantasy of traveling through it is the greatest aspiration of mankind. In keeping with the love of space in Cowboy Bebop, Mobile Suit Gundam as a whole is a fantastic piece of both literature and screenplay that lets us dream big and appreciate the fantastic. The only downside of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is that its so long-spread that its hard to find the proper place to start. With Advent of the Red Comet you're able to glimpse the beginning of the timeline, the creation of the Mobile Suit, and the beginning of the story's One Year War in 0079 UC as well as the beginnings of the major players in the galactic conflict between the Federation and the Spacenoids, lead by the Zabi family of Zeon. Whether for the story, the setting, the battles, or the metaphor of the Mobile Suit itself the Gundam series will not disappoint you as a viewer. read more
