Yarichin☆Bitch-bu

I just finished watching this, and I've come to the conclusion that this anime is the definition of a shitpost.
I say this for multiple reasons - but as a long-time watcher and reader of yaoi and other fujoshi-oriented content, I couldn't enjoy this anime as a yaoi. Did I enjoy it as a comedy though? Absolutely.

First, the story. It's just layers of absurdity, without much substance. If you're looking for something with deep romance, complex themes, or the like, then this isn't for you. If you're looking for a bit of mindless enjoyment, you might want to give this a shot.
After all, it ... does look pretty good. The art is consistent and genuinely cute, I found it to be very easy on the eyes.

Second, the characters. Most of them are one-dimensional at best (the cutesy one, the closeted nerd, the kind-hearted seme, the jerk, etc), but they work well with the setting. Yuri especially was a breath of fresh air. Still, you shouldn't try and look too deeply here. They may be the focus of the story, but they're poorly developed.

Lastly, and ironically, this may be a crazy-looking anime with very promiscuous themes, but the actual spicy scenes are more like tiny little snippits without build-up. There's a constant reminder that everyone is shameless (and alot of them are in the nude anyway), but...nothing really happens, honestly. So, if you're looking for something spicy, this won't really satisfy you either.

Overall - a mess. But a delightful mess nonetheless, that made me laugh a lot more than expected.

It’s holidays and normal people would be having fun with their family eating turkey while sitting on a table next to a cozy fireplace, reminiscing about various life events. I, on the other hand, am about to write my first review on the first Yaoi hentai I’ve ever watched.


Yarichin☆Bitch-bu ( orヤリチン☆ビッチ部) is a Yaoi OVA from a manga of the same title adapted by studio GRIZZLY and directed by Yoshimura Ai who was also the director of Yahari Ore, Ao Haru Ride, and Gintama°.
Diving into the plot, which caught me off guard since I didn’t even take the time to read the synopsis, we ... have Takashi Toono who transfers to Morimori Academy, a private all-boys boarding school, and decides to join the “low-effort” photography club. However, little did he know the club was actually called “Yarichin Bitch Club” and it involved all kinds of gay sexual acts from simply putting a vibrator between your legs to full-blown gang bangs. With attractive femboys everywhere and activities that would even make Sákis Rouvás question his sexuality, how is Takashi going to react?


Before watching Yarichin I had no expectations, as I said I didn’t even read the synopsis or watch the trailer. Yet, I wasn’t disappointed. This OVA manages in only 2 episodes to establish the identity of a true shitpost. The characters are well-written and have their own unique features while being absolute savages who wouldn’t hesitate to grab Andre Rush’s pp and compliment it. The designs were nice with my favorite one being that of Yaguchi. The best drip and voice acting though have to go to Yuri, not only did he deliver a very solid performance every time he was on the screen, but his character was very intriguing and complex. Plus, he could easily be a character in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. The music was fitting and the opening hits you right in the feelings with little to no hesitation, making even the biggest thugs among us cry.


Nevertheless, even miraculous works of this level like FMA, MHA and SAO have their flaws. The biggest problem with this OVA is the number of episodes. Not because they didn’t have enough time for some serious character development or hard-hitting moments, but because it ends on a cliff-hanger, leaving the watcher with blue balls and red eyes. If it had more episodes, I could easily envision it on the top 20 of not only MAL but other anime websites too, even IMDb. Also, another minor flaw was the censorship which I guess couldn’t be helped. But that’s what the manga is for.

Overall, an extremely interesting and unique experience to have on the day that Jesus Christ himself was born. Highly recommend this and I’d probably check out the manga too for extra spiciness.


WARNING : If you’re a girl, don’t watch this with your boyfriend as he might be extremely jealous and prevent you from watching the rest.

This yaoi is fine. It is left on a cliffhanger and not much is explained unless you read the manga. There is a lot of sex and most of it is pointless and doesn't add to the plot. If you like the manga or have read it and are interested in watching this then I would, but if you wanna watch it bc you like yaoi I would not recommend this. Find something with a plot that makes sense without having to read the manga before or after just because you want a continued plot. The art is nothing special and there are some awkward ... parts where their faces look a little off. The soundtrack isn't really to my liking but the ending wasn't awful. I enjoy the characters to a decent amount, Yuri's voice got to be a little annoying at times. I like the main character, Toono, I think he is written just fine. A lot of the characters are played to kinda be just sex addicts which I get is the point but they just have so much more character in the manga plus the art is better in the manga. I watched this kinda spur of the moment and it gave me a little bit of joy bu as I said, it's not awful. At the end watch what you wanna watch, but you could watch something better than this.

Basically just a big shit-post. Not the best yaoi/BL I've ever seen but the comedy was solid in my opinion. There's not point in going into a big analysis over this yaoi and I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously. It's silly and good to watch if you don't want to think for a while.

However I have to make this review long so here's a summary:
Characters a pretty fun and unique
Story/plot isn't that well developed but at least it's there and they're trying.
There's really nothing special about this yaoi but it does have its enjoyable moments.
Kinda wished for more episodes ... as it ends quite abruptly and on a cliffhanger which seemed to come out of nowhere.

I'm going to be very honest, as someone who enjoys and enjoys the BL/yaoi genre.
I watched this anime for the first time when I was maybe 14? 15? Too young to fully understand the concept of rAp3.
I decided to give this show another go a few months ago cuz I remembered vaguely liking it when I was younger. I haven't completed it but I've watched enough to make up an opinion.
To this day, no matter how funny the characters are, I still feel nothing but sympathy for the MC who just wanted to join a photography club. It's incredibly dumb how he gets forced ... into a sex club just bc he accidentally walked in on it. The rules of the club are a complete joke.
Just changing that part can make this story a whole lot better. On top of that, the MC feels constant anxiety about getting forced into a gangbang if he doesn't find a partner to have sex before the deadline is up. It's. So. Fucked. Up.
MC clearly doesn't want any of this and keeps being forced into this shit. And then he's supposed to feel bad that he lied when he and Yuu lied about dating before? What a load of bull.
Things would've been A LOT better if: 1) he was given an invitation to the club, 2) was given time to think about joining the club, 3) showed a bit of interest in the club so he isn't forced into it, 4) there was less low-key homophobic wording [eg "oh but I'm a guy, type of shit"] and 5) the characters weren't so toxic and rapey.
There's a lot wrong with this show, I only really liked Yuri bc he's just there for comic relief, and I found his "love" story with Tooru funny if anything. (tho the stalking behaviour of Tooru was really off-putting, too)
I honestly stopped around that episode and I don't plan on finishing it. I read another review where it mentioned pedophelia and I'm not ready for that, thanks.

Should you watch Yarichin Bitch-club?: No. It's not worth your time.

It's funny because I discovered this anime/OVA so unexpectedly, and strangely enough, it wasn't the plot that made me want to watch it. I actually discovered its opening song by chance on Spotify and the cover art had a bunch of hot anime boys so I knew I had to check it out.

What I didn't know was the fact that Yarichin Bitch-bu was TikTok famous, becoming notorious for being a yaoi anime that was essentially treading hentai waters. So of course I had to watch it, after all, it was only 2 episodes long, each about 30 mins worth of hot-mess content.


Story - 3
Oh god, ... the story. I honestly don't know if it's genius or if it's absolutely horrendous. Imagine this; a straight-as-a-stick boy joins an all-boys school surrounded by mountains, learns that he has to join a club to pass, picks out the most interesting one only for it to turn out as a s*x club for s*x-crazed teen boys. Hearing about this synopsis honestly intrigued me and I'm rarely fazed by hentai plots nowadays (don't ask why). But this one, boy oh boy, it was so absurd that it's almost good?

Not only is the story extremely unrealistic; I mean come on starting a club to have s*x and starting a competition out of it?? PLUS, the teachers seem to know about it and they don't give a damn?? Insane. It's such an over-the-top premise that anyone who hears it for the first time will feel some sort of desire to know what it's all about. At least in my opinion. It's the most 3/10 story you can find and there's not much to praise about it.


Art - 5
It's a yaoi anime with hot guys, you can't really go wrong with that. The art for Yarichin Bitch-bu is decent, very average but decent enough to pass as a yaoi targeted to women. The backgrounds are smooth, character designs are not too shabby, though the one thing that caught my eye are the colours of the characters. The animators were not afraid to use shades that haven't been used before (like the main character's green eyes is in a very unique green, idek if that makes sense). But yeah, other than that, it's really not at all groundbreaking but looks good enough to attract female audiences I guess.


Sound - 6
As I've briefly mentioned, I discovered this anime through its opening theme. It's catchy, upbeat, and features some very strange engrish lyrics that screams 'yaoi' and I loved it. That being said, the OST is not as memorable and I cannot tell you one soundtrack that I remembered from the two episodes. I'm giving it a 6 solely because the opening song was so fire.


Character - 4
Weirdly enough, the characters of this show ain't bad, they're just very very generic and underwhelming. Honestly, I almost wanted to symphatize with the main lead considering he genuinely looked appalled when he found out the secrets of the 'Photography' club. That being said, he doesnt actually do much about it. He gets straight up bullied into this taboo club without putting up a fight and he eventually ALMOST get's f*cked up in the end too. He's not a dumb character, that's for sure, but he doesn't get much character development (I mean they only have two episodes to work with). I believe the closest we got to seeing a character development was when the second male lead helped out our protagonist to get out of trouble, leading to a somewhat-cute romantic development between the two.

What the show does best however is making distinct characters. Like our glasses-wearing pink-haired boy who probably has some serious addiction issues, or the president of the club and his boyfriend who seems to be compromising a proper relationship - basically, there are some memorable characters for sure but none that actually makes sense...


Enjoyment - 6
I'm not even gonna lie, I enjoyed the heck out of this show despite its obvious flaws. But then again, I am biased to yaoi since I enjoy the genre. I can totally imagine people disliking this show for its over-the-top portrayal of yaoi but I think I wouldn't have enjoyed Yarichin Bitch-bu if it WASN'T yaoi.

This is not an anime for everyone but it's also 2 episodes long (each episode 30 mins each) so you're not gonna lose a hell lot of time. I personally think anyone, regardless of whether you like yaoi or not, should give this show a shot for the hell of it.

Yarichin Bitch-bu is a very mediocre show, BUT it did go viral on TikTok for a reason and I think it's a good enough OVA to earn a solid 5 from me. It's practically hentai, over-the-top, with distinguishable characters and a banger opening song.

So yeah, watch it, don't watch it, you're not gonna lose much of your time on this.

This "show" (OVA) is absolutely terrible, but I can't stop thinking about it.
Yes, it's disgusting. But it was kind of fun?? Strangely enough, I strongly recommend it because has had kind of a huge impact since release, and its one of those "must-see at least once" experiences, if you're into that.
The song is stuck in my damn head, too. I'm not even typically into Yaoi, but I was highkey interested in the main love triangle plot, which they cut off precisely at the good part >:(. (Yes, I know there is a manga, but I am not interested in seeing what happens next in the ... other aspects..)

Anyways, Toono-- what's up with this guy? Self-proclaimed straight, enters what he thought was a normal photography club, (I don't know why they couldn't have just made a very straightforward gay sex club because the school faculty knows about this operation and supports it) but ends up in a clubroom full of gay high-school prostitutes, and they immediately greet him at the door posing up with dildos.
Okay, he is WAY too nice because any normal guy, which he is SUPPOSED to be, would just turn around and leave in 1.3 seconds. He stays. Even when they PROMISE to r*pe him when he doesn't meet his body quota. Which he was never going to do, and he knew that. Maybe he is a freak undercover because like, dude. You are literally that bird in a cage with only 2 bars. Just leave??

Personally, I find Toono and Kashima to be the only likeable characters. I hate Yuri for being an infantilized slut who talks like a caveman and Akemi, for just kind of being off-putting?

Anyways, to keep it simple, this short series is strangely iconic, but absolutely hilarious because of how ridiculous it is. And its a little bit fun. Absolutely not for everyone, thats for sure.

This is basically a preview of the manga because it ends on a cliffhanger when you're already invested in the story. So that's annoying.

All the characters are insane apart from the MC and one of the love interests and I freaking hated Yuri, he was the most irritating thing ever. But they were all so pretty...

And the plot... If there was a group of boys at a high school being forced to pimp themselves out and being threatened with grape and they couldn't report it to the teachers or the police because some of them were clients, of course, that would be horrific in real ... life.
But this is anime and I have the ability to suspend my disbelief, so I thought it was so outré that it was funny.

There are so few yaoi anime out there that actually show the dongs and the action (albeit censored) that I will take what I can get!
