Synopsis

Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. Full disclosure, I have read the entirety of the webnovel The Desolate Era, the "source material", and I gotta say this disgusting thing they want to call an "adaptation" pisses me off so much for how disingenuous it is. This has basically nothing to do with the webnovel, besides a fewof the same names and general concept. If you started to watch this or are thinking of watching it, do youself a favor and go read the webnovel. I have read the novel and I wasn't expecting characters and story to be totaly same as novel. But... There is limit to how someone change a story, character structure. You can't just say this anime Desolate Era (The Legend of the Jade Sword) by using same names and some common scene from novel and leaving other things to your own choice. It's literally cheap conterfeit of the story and cheap adaption of that conterfeit.
