Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu addpermalink

Both anime tell about friendship of 2 young girls since childhood, which was initially fine but disputes arise when they start to grow up. They both also have almost same strength as power of mahou shoujo. Although there are many differences like ViVid Strike! with a sci-fi setting while Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou/Sotsu is more supernatural. 

Note: before watching this Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu, must watch prequel.

Hajime no Ippo addpermalink

Both are anime about intense fighting in a ring. While Hajime no Ippo is about men and their manly muscle, Vivid Stike is about badass loli girl without sacrificing the intense of the fight. Both main characters are likeable fighters who wish to become stronger.
