Shin Megami Tensei: Tokyo Mokushiroku

The priest and the defense lawyer are the secret badasses with their talisman magic. 

Tokyo Revelations shares a few similarities to X/1999. Both are epic battles for the world, though they have different causes, they involve childhood friends taking opposing sides in the battle for what they believe is right. They also both have slight shonen-ai themes. 

Both are Megami Tensei anime and have some relationship with the games. 

Both have a dark and edgy broody feel to it and both focus around demonic beings and a ya cast too. 

OCCULT & DEMONIC as hell, with some very intense and scary scenes in there the way it was made back then is awesome! not for the weakhearted 12,16+, and both main chara. have an spititual guideline to duty! EXTERMINATION of devils! 

simmilair in the supernatural and slight occult content, and yes ppl, NO REMAKE OR WHATSOEVER from both this anime, they just stays as it is :) just my two cents. 

Tokyo Revelation features a similar story themes, demons and spiritual warfare, but with the added modern day touches of technology.  

Both contain their fair share of demon-possession, violence and gratuitous nudity. No solid plot, but plenty of action and gore.
