One of the things which drew me to making this recommendation is the similarity in styles, but they also involve the subject of demons, although the takes differ except for one thing, that demons are a form of corruption. There is also a search for a cure going on, albeit who is cursed and who is searching for the curse differs slightly as well. The characters from both series are quite diverse in personality types, and the action is riveting.

The will to leave everything behind, the need to save that which is important to you, and the strength to push forward with whatever the future may hold.
Stories KnY and Princess Mononoke both follow two individuals who go out, far away from their home in order to find something that may change the dark fate that occurred to their homes on that fateful day. With such a trek, come new ones who join along which is seen in both stories.
Both are great anime, receiving very large positive reception, filled with amazing visuals and great audio too. Though Princess Mononoke has a deeper more sophisticated story
